Now that she thought about it like that, Ruan Chanchan narrowed her eyes and then slowly climbed up on the back of the mer. Frowning hard, she slowly climbed up on the back of the bear and sulkily sat down on the back of the bear. She was going to deal with this mer once she was done with the task at hand. However, her thoughts escaped her mind the second the bear got to his feet.

Startled, Ruan Chanchan reached out and hugged the neck of the bear. Her body lowered on its own instinct, and Ruan Chanchan pressed her front against the back of the bear. The bear rumbled in satisfaction, feeling quite happy that his destined one was hugging him. Because he was too happy, he didn’t even think about where he was going, causing the two of them to take many twists and turns. By the time Xie Daiyu brought Ruan Chanchan to the volcanic caves, an hour had already passed.

"Why did you take those winding paths?" Ruan Chanchan asked with a frown as she tried to shake off the drowsiness. She blinked her eyes and looked around the warm caves and realised that this place was indeed a good place to stay, if not for the poisonous fumes from the volcano and the winding paths.

Xie Daiyu changed into his human form without giving Ruan Chanchan the chance to look away, and she got an eyeful of his body. Startled, she turned around and looked away, the shells of her ears turning red as she looked anywhere but at the mer behind her. She really needed to get used to these beast mers walking around naked all the time.

"Darling, don’t you think his body is really good-looking?" Xiao Xi remarked while eyeing the mer appreciatively.

"Then you can eye him as much as you want," Ruan Chanchan rolled her eyes and ignored Xiao Xi and Xie Daiyu, as she had finally found the berries that she was looking for. She walked over to the cluster of bloodberries and could not help but sigh in shock. "This smells really good. I wonder how it tastes?"

Ruan Chanchan stared at the bloodberries and sniffed the air. These berries reminded her of the sweet water apples that she used to find at the back of the mountains when she was living at the orphanage. Though these bloodberries didn’t look like water apples at all, they did smell like one.

She walked over and plucked a berry that was the size of a big apple and broke it into two pieces, and looked at the red liquid that was flowing out of the berry. Taking another sniff, she took a sip of the juice. Her eyes lit up when she realised that it tasted just like water apples, maybe even better. Were the fruits in this world mutated forms of the fruits in her world?

"Darling, wouldn’t it be better to say that these fruits are the ones that would one day change into the fruits that you ate in the world where you lived? Don’t forget that you lived in countless dimensions." Xiao Xi explained knowledgeably to Ruan Chanchan, whose face turned a bit red. Ah, how could she forget such a thing?

Xie Daiyu looked at the female in front of him and frowned. He wondered what was going on in Ruan Chanchan’s mind. One second she was all angry, then she was frowning and rolling her eyes, then her eyes were filled with stars as if she was really happy, and now she was embarrassed. He wondered what was going on.

As he was a level three warrior, he knew that there was no one else other than him and Ruan Chanchan. If there were, then it would be impossible for them to hide their presence from him. Then, who was this person with whom Ruan Chanchan was talking?
