CHAPTER 99: RUAN CHANCHAN: DARK SHAMAN?

"There is no need for you to apologise," said Ah Man. She glanced at her husband, whose eyes were filled with tears and said to him, "It’s I who wronged you." Ah Man frowned. "Don’t tell me that the elders have once again started their old antics?"

The elders of the tribe were the pillars of wisdom. They were respected and revered, as they had once helped the leader of the tribe that formed this tribe. Thus, they were treated quite well, and even Chief Xie respected them. Ah Man couldn’t even recall the last time Chief Xie had gone against their decision and firmly listened to everything that the elders told her. After all, they were the ones who had stood next to the last chief and fought against many tribes, including their own previous tribe, which wanted to kill the last chief, as she was stronger than the tribe leader of the tribe where they stayed.
