CHAPTER 142: A DATE WITH MY CUTE SHINSO VAMPIRE XIX
"So this is it ha?"
Adam said out aloud, the two of them passing different people on their way back to the Van Hellsing Hotel.
Eventually they reached inside, walking through the main hall of the lower floors.
Android and human staff, meet, greet, and attend to the customers booking a room or inquiring about other services within the institution.
As Priscilla and Adam pass they were greeted by the staff.
Many of them knowing who both Adam, and Priscilla are, and Adam not knowing were stands, but if what Priscilla said is true.
Then he is above the Hellsing family, as result of being apart of the Shinso family.
"Good afternoon Lady Hellsing."
"Good day to you young master."
These greetings continued, and servant’s would bow their head as the two of them pass them.
"Wow, they really are showing us the highest level of respect, aren’t they?"
"It’s only natural. You don’t recognize them now, but they do, since you’re already in the System with me, and the others."
"System?...
Adam questioned, a little lost at what System Priscilla was talking a out.
"Sigh. The Hellsings have always followed a rigid structure. The Patriarch stands at the top... the workers at the bottom."
"Naturally, you fall somewhere within it. They already see you as part of the family."
"That is why they call me Lady Hellsing... and you Young Master."
Explain Priscilla, catching Adam’s attention as he asked.
"I see... So we’re exactly do I fall."
"Heir."
"..."

"..."
"..."
"...Say what now?...
Adam asked in disbelief, causing Priscilla to explain.
"I was going to explain this sooner, but then you decided to go into hibernation like a brooding dragon, so...
"Anyway, short version: the Patriarch had triplet daughters five years ago, but only two survived. You’re the same age, and... well, human-ish. So we fit you right into that position as the Patriarch son."
"So, after a bit of discussion, we figured, we’ll name you the heir to the Shinso family."
"It is not as dramatic as it sounds. Heirs are usually picked randomly by the Elders after the Patriarch dies."
Adam eyes open wide in shock as he replied back saying.
"...What that... Ha, but wasn’t Nyx the next patriarch from what I understand."
"Technically speaking, she is the most publicly favored candidate for the Patriarch title."
She explained to Adam, and then continued.
"We’ve curated that image quite well you know, manipulated media coverage, inflated her contributions."
"Now to the public eye, she is far ahead of the others. And we plan to keep it that way for a time being before we announced you as the next patriarch."
"Why me though."
"Simple really. Because you are ultimately human. A perfected one, but human nonetheless. We plan to make you the middle man."
"...I see...
"Either way though let’s not bore each other with ceaseless politics."
Priscilla said to Adam, as her grip on Adams hand grew tighter, and her eyes widen with excitement.
"Besides let us talk about what we learn today."
She said greedily, partially salivating with excitement, as she looked up at his head where his horns once were.
Well... When he brings them out atleast.
On that note however, Adam sighed as he said.
"They are indeed strong, but they can’t be all that."
"Boy what the hell did you just said to me?"
Priscilla called Adam out on the spot for dissing his own horns.
"I would kill to have a pair of those horns, honor them with pride you hear me."
Priscilla said with a firm tone.
While Adam sighed, gesturing his hand a she replied back saying.
"Haaaa... Why am I getting berated here, all I said there aren’t anything special.. especially if we compare it to you."
"Foolish you are indeed, if only you know how much I envy you so, for having them."
"Those horns of yours... truly a most enviable gift."
"From what I’ve observed, they allow you to command three elements at once, without the need for spirit language or magic circles, quite the feat."
"And then there is the Spirit Awakening: drawing in Astrum from the air until the horn catalyzes the transformation. If people could do what you did so easily the power balance would disrupted."
"For that reason, in my eyes, you really did stumble upon something remarkable in the Human World. Their is no arguing that point. Your heritage is truly remarkable, it’s sad I can’t located your family tree, without... Sigh your just too young, what am I even thinking."
"Wait you can do that?!"
Adam asked, a little surprised by Priscilla’s words.
To which she turned to him and said.
"Yeah, I have a way I can located your heritage down to your mother, and father it’s just... Ahh it’s too embarrassing just forget it. There is no way in hell I am going to do that with you."
Adam did not know how to react to this.
She was clearly adamant with her decision so he didn’t want to push it.
But Priscilla herself seem mostly curious about Adam heritage.
"...Sigh, well I can’t find your mother, and father without doing something I am comfortable with. However I can analyze your blood and make an amulet that can sense when your close by to a blood relative either in death or near you, but for that to work I would need your blood."
"My blood?"
Asked Adam.
"Yes, your blood, foolish child."
"Blood is the source of life. A concept so ancient, so absolute, it borders on omnipresence."
"Everything that lives bleeds. And everything that bleeds... remembers."
Priscilla explained to Adam who take in the news.
"Vampires like myself... we do not merely drink blood. We resonate with it to an extent, but this is not without reason. Vampire were never always this close to blood. It was only after our history with the Divine Spirit of Blood itself, did it became something fundamental for our undead existence."
"Long ago, when the first Vampire King walked the earth, he forged a pact with that Spirit."
"Through that covenant, a realm was created. A realm where knowledge is written not in books... but in veins."
"The past, the present, the future, and even paths untouched by Fate immune to it could bece accessible, bleeding truths preserved in blood of the living."
"...The Bleeding."
"A domain beyond space and time, present in all things, even where creation hesitates. It sees what is hidden. What should not be seen. What will be... From the predicable, and from the free will without fate binding them."
"Royal vampires like myself can see information through it to an extent, but the Cain family are the ones that uses this realm to their advantage."
"So using this realm, I could help you in that regard well, it more out curiosity for me atleast."
"My question is however...
Priscilla suddenly asked nervously.
"Um... Are you i-intrested, although this is a little out of my comfort zone, it’s not like the other method I am trying to avoid, if you are willing to give me some of your blood, I can...
She said, pausing for a moment.
"Well I can atleast make you have a step deeper into the proper answer we are looking for in relation to your heritage atleast."
Adam looked at Priscilla vividly suprise.
"Ha?!"
But as Priscilla awaits his answer, somewhere else, the ties of destiny was shifting.

The skies of Elysium were painted in gold.
Not just from the eternal sunlight that bathed its towering ivory spires, but from the divine Astrum that radiated through every inch of this celestial dominion.
Bridges of shimmering light connected floating cities above the endless sea of clouds, where their divine inhabitants... the Flugel resided.
They were warriors of the divine, executioners of heresy, and protectors of the Almighty One’s Pantheon.
Elysium was but one of many Pantheons that made up the Celestial World.
And each Pantheon was governed by its own set of individual laws and rules that make up its divine structures... be it the warring halls of Asgard, the judgment-laden sands of Duat, or the celestial bureaucracy of the Jade Heavens.
And Elysium was one of these many Pantheons that exist within the celestial world.
A place that cherishes the ideology of order above all else.
This Pantheon prides itself on having an empire of die-hard zealots, as such, rarely if at all does it have someone that strays from the collective ideal of Order its inhabitants follow to a T.
And yet, despite that, today was the day that the still cup of water that has been steady for billions of years finally pitched its first drop.
"SHE OVER THERE!!...
A wingman shouted as the sound of rushing footsteps could be heard from behind her.
"...For Christ’s Sake... give me a damn break will yah."
A beautiful, but battered woman said, as she ran for her life, her heart pounding like a war drum as she dashed across the shattered terraces of Elysium.
She was wearing black armor, or rather black and gold to be precise.
She had, glowing gold eyes, and long black hair, around her face was thick mascara, as she applied gothic make-up to her face, as she also had on black lipstick.
She was 5’0 and had a very curvy body, and although her breast was compressed due to the armor plate, they were very large.
Her skin was pale, alabaster in color even, but overall, she was a very beautiful gothic woman, she had the appearance of a woman in her early twenties, and from her back a pair of black wings adorned her.
And at this moment she was running for her life.
"O Asmodeus... Father... let not my treachery be for naught. The gate, I must reach the gate. I must... damn this weakness...
