He Ate a Divine Dragon
Chapter 247 - 245: Charge for me
CHAPTER 247: CHAPTER 245: CHARGE FOR ME
SMACK!
The sheer force of the blow sent the man sprawling to the ground. If Pei Yanzi hadn’t been there, Lin Xiao’s slap would have made the man’s head explode on the spot.
The burly man screamed, the pain so intense it felt like his head no longer belonged to him.
He struggled to his feet, clutching the side of his face as he glared venomously at Lin Xiao. Without a single word, he charged.
Lin Xiao sneered. Before the man could even get close, Lin Xiao kicked him squarely in the stomach.
BANG!
The man’s body flew backward, the tremendous force of the impact sending shop merchandise scattering everywhere. He crashed heavily to the floor once more.
He lay on the ground like a sack of dead meat, greedily gulping for air.
The piece of trash tried to stand up but failed after several attempts.
After who knows how long, he finally staggered to his feet. His eyes, filled with even more venom, locked onto Lin Xiao as he prepared to lunge again. But before he could take a single step, a startling amount of fresh blood sprayed from his mouth, splattering across the floor.
After vomiting blood, the man collapsed again.
This time, he didn’t try to get up. Instead, he pulled out his phone and made a call.
The call connected, and he screamed into the phone like a pig being slaughtered, "Second Brother, help me! Some piece of trash is about to kill me!"
After a brief reply from the other end, the man said, "Right, got it!" and hung up.
"You filthy beggar," he snarled, "you’re fucking dead today!"
Lin Xiao gave him a scornful look.
What a fool, courting death. If he had just apologized, this would have been over. But since he’s so insistent on dying, he can’t blame me for what happens next.
I’m curious to see just who he managed to call.
It was hard to tell if Pei Yanzi was more frightened by Lin Xiao’s sudden violence or the man’s call for backup. Either way, her lovely face was now a mask of terror, her captivating eyes wide with fear.
Seeing this, Lin Xiao comforted her. "Don’t be afraid. It wouldn’t matter even if the Jade Emperor himself showed up today."
His words instantly calmed Pei Yanzi’s panicked heart.
She looked at him guiltily. "Brother Lin, I’m so sorry. This is all my fault. I’ve caused you so much trouble!"
Lin Xiao laughed. "This counts as trouble? You really underestimate your Brother Lin!"
"But..."
"No buts. I’ll say it again: even if he summons the Jade Emperor, that man will be on his knees apologizing to you."
Pei Yanzi nodded obediently.
Less than twenty minutes later, the frantic sound of approaching footsteps echoed from outside.
A bald man leading four or five security guards burst into the store. His fierce expression and towering stature gave him an overwhelming, oppressive presence.
"Third Brother, what’s going on?" the bald man demanded, his voice menacing.
Xue Dalong pointed at Lin Xiao and spat, "Second Brother, this is the trash that hit me! Kill him for me!"
The bald man’s gaze fell on Lin Xiao. He opened his mouth to speak but stopped short when he saw Pei Yanzi standing nearby. His eyes bulged. He was clearly stunned by her beauty.
A moment later, his eyes began to greedily and brazenly sweep over Pei Yanzi’s body. He looked as if he wanted to devour her whole.
Pei Yanzi, who had never encountered a situation like this, turned pale with fright and quickly hid behind Lin Xiao.
Lin Xiao comforted her in a soft voice, "I’m here. Don’t be afraid."
His words gave Pei Yanzi a profound sense of security, and she nodded with a quiet hum of agreement.
The bald man suddenly sneered. "Kid, it’s your lucky day. I’m in a good mood, so scram."
As if I don’t know what he’s thinking. Just another piece of trash driven by lust.
Lin Xiao let out a dismissive laugh. "What a coincidence. I’m not in a good mood today. How about this: you all get on your knees and apologize to my friend. If that improves my mood, maybe I’ll let you off the hook."
PFFT.
A roar of derisive laughter erupted in the small clothing store. The security guards were bent over laughing, but Xue Dalong was practically hysterical, his mouth agape as if he’d just heard the funniest joke in the world. The bald man laughed the hardest of all, practically choking.
They weren’t just laughing; they were looking at Lin Xiao as if he were a clown, their expressions full of contempt and disdain.
Lin Xiao laughed, too—at their sheer stupidity.
Just then, Xue Dalong sneered. "Idiot, do you have any idea who you’re standing in front of? Let me tell you, this is Xue Changshan, the head of the FG Department Store! And more importantly, he’s a member of the Xue Family! You dare tell us to kneel? Fine. Just fine. I’d like to see how the hell you walk out of this department store today!"
"Dalong, don’t be so crude," the bald man said, feigning anger. "What if you scare our pretty little thing? I plan on enjoying myself with her later."
Xue Dalong paused for a second, then a sinister smile spread across his face. "Second Brother, you’re right to correct me. My apologies. How could I be so vulgar? I’m a cultured man, after all. Say, Second Brother, can we... play with her together later?"
"No problem," Xue Changshan sneered. "This chick looks pure, but I bet she’s a real slut in bed. We brothers will have a great time finding out."
Xue Dalong burst into laughter.
"You’re right, Second Brother! This chick is definitely a slut! But first, we need to take care of this stinking beggar. You have no idea, this trash hit me so hard... I’m still in agony!"
Listening to their vile exchange, Pei Yanzi’s face grew even paler, and her whole body began to tremble.
Lin Xiao sensed her terror. He turned to her and said gently, "Pei Yanzi, don’t be afraid. Close your eyes. I’m going to show you a magic trick."
Although Pei Yanzi had no idea what Lin Xiao was going to do, she trusted him unconditionally. She instinctively closed her eyes.
In that instant, Lin Xiao’s gaze turned razor-sharp as he stared at the group of thugs before him. His terrifying gaze stabbed into them like a knife, piercing their hearts.
They all shuddered in fear.
Lin Xiao’s voice was ice. "Kneel."
Xue Changshan glowered at Lin Xiao, his face menacing.
"You stinking beggar," he roared, "since you’re so determined to die, don’t blame me for being ruthless! Get him!"
