Lawrence sighed, hands clenched in agony into a fist as he recalled the memories like it was just yesterday.

"Sister disappeared, never returned, was declared dead with her husband.

When we went to the funeral held in her honor here, he didn’t even attend.

And now, he wants to see his grandson?"

Lawrence chuckled at the absurdity.

What was wrong with his father?

His people saw him as a wise, benevolent ruler, but when it came to matters of family, he was a failure of a father.

"I hate him. But now that he wants to see his grandson... does it mean he’s changing?"

Lawrence chuckled mockingly at himself.

"Emperor Auctevius Clover? Nah. He has not changed. He has just seen Kailen Darkhaven’s potential, and he wants to use grandfatherly love as a mask to ally himself to my nephew."

Lawrence couldn’t help but reveal a glint of anger in his eyes as he mused to himself.

"I cannot let this happen. Which is why I convinced him to pull some strings to let me go to the military Frontlines of the Astral Empire." Eyes narrowed with resolution. "I can’t believe he bought the lie that I was going there to convince my nephew to visit him, when I’m actually going there to tell him to never come here. I can’t let him near that selfish old man who only cares about himself."

Lawrence chuckled lightly.

"See you soon, Cousin Kailen. I look forward to meeting you."

Either way, I die when he wins, and you take over when I win. Since, according to our deal, after my showdown with him, you will take over my consciousness. Either way, I just want to go feeling alive. I need more meat, more life force, to climb to the rank 7 supreme stage galactic level, for that showdown to be epic."
