CHAPTER 424: CHAPTER 424. CLAN LEADER ETHAN REVEARSON

The clan hall was filled with voices, rising and falling as the crowd whispered among themselves. Lanterns cast a soft blue light over the room, and the faint smell of salt hung in the air as tension shifted into excitement.

" So it’s really true"

" The clan leader is dead"

"This is good news"

" Finally, the rise of the Revearson clan is set in stone"

" With Young Sir Ethan’s leadership and Kailen Darkhaven as our backer, the top clans in Atlantis won’t even dare to cause trouble for us"

Voices moved quietly through the hall, rising and falling as people watched Ethan climb the podium. Tirian Revearson stood by his side. The carved coral pillars caught the dim blue light, casting faint shadows across the room.

Kailen stood by the side, in a separated spot with the others, amongst the clan elders,as he radiated a demeanor of natural authority.

" First of all, I would like everyone to know that Black Flask Darkhaven is the reason why today’s accomplishment was possible. So from now on, the Revearson clan will support him whenever he needs us, even on the battlefield. Had it not been for his prowess , my father would still be alive and would have continued to lead the clan towards ruin"

The clan elders nodded in agreement to one another in murmurs, as looks of approval and subtle acknowledgment passed between them, reflecting the silent agreement forming when they stared at Kailen Darkhaven.

Also, they wouldn’t let go of an opportunity for the Revearson clan to form a solid alliance with Kailen Darkhaven.

"Are you willing to accept me as your clan leader?"

Ethan was straightforward, didn’t beat around the bush. His voice carried with a calm authority that filled the hall more than any shout could.

The moment his voice rung in the hall, all the clan elders, males and females alike, transformed into their merman and mermaid forms, as they performed some sort of ceremonial bow to him. Scales shimmered across the hall like a wave of living gemstones.

Ethan didn’t stop them from bowing this time because it was some sort of formal ritual that was done to acknowledge the new clan leader.

The moment the elders did this, they felt the rune oaths that bound them to the new clan leader connect them to Ethan. It was as if their lives and deaths were predicated on their loyalty to him. A subtle heaviness settled into the air—an instinctive sensation that the ritual had completed.

" You guys must be wondering why they didn’t mention him as the son of Rango Revearson right?"

Anaya said as she studied the curious glances on the faces of Kailen and the others. Her tone carried a hint of amusement, as if explaining an old custom to newcomers.

" In Atlantis , when someone inherits the position of the leader of any clan, a genealogical reference is made backwards to a predecessor who honored the name of the clan and was a worthy leader.

Since Rango was literally trash, it’s only natural that reference is not made to him"

The group nodded at her words, the logic simple yet brutal.

" In other words, people like Rango will technically be forgotten by the clan descendants" Zarek said in understanding.

Pan added "Reference will only be made to him, when the list of incompetent leaders of the clan are brought up"

Miranda added "Or when children are being thought a lesson in their homes about the consequences of abuse of power"

" Bastard will literally be forgotten," Everlong said.

Ethan sighed deeply as he stared at the clan elders staring at him and waiting for his next words. The hall felt heavy with expectation, the moment marking the true beginning of his authority.

He finally had the Revearson clan in his hands, and he could develop the clan into a formidable force in Atlantis.

" Spread the word . Rango Revearson died by the hands of Black Flask Kailen Darkhaven, ally of Ethan Revearson, and Ethan Revearson has assumed the position of the leader of the Revearson clan"

A cunning glint flashed through Ethan’s eyes as he spoke, the sharp edge of strategy slipping into his gaze for a heartbeat.

Kailen mused to himself as he heard Ethan’s words " Intimidation. Smart move. By including me in the news and hinting that I am his ally, he plans to let them know that I ,someone who has caught the eye of a rank 7 supreme stage galactic level lifeform, is his backer.

This will let the other clans think twice before they attempt any political schemes against him. Not bad Ethan"

After the clan leader initiation ceremony, Kailen nodded towards Ethan and sent him a thought transmission.

" We are heading towards the place I spoke of. It seems you are quite busy. So we will take the lead"

Ethan turned to look at Tirian and said " Uncle Tirian, I suppose you can handle things in my absence?"

Tirian seemed conflicted on hearing those words "With all due respect my Lord, I am your personal guard. Wherever you have to be, I’m supposed to be there"

Ethan chuckled warmly at his words and replied "Do not worry, I will be fine. Besides , I am in safe hands. With these people, I don’t think anything bad will happen to me"

Reluctantly, Tirian sighed.

Of course, he knew that Kailen Darkhaven had terrifying capabilities, and didn’t doubt that he could help Ethan escape any unfavorable situation encountered. The thought alone eased part of the tension built in his chest.

However, it was never too late to be extremely careful.

Seeing his reluctance Ethan added "Try and take some time off to spend some time with your wife and daughter"

Before Tirian could even reply, Ethan sped off alongside Kailen and the others, their silhouettes vanishing down the hallway as water-essence curled in their wake like fading mist.
