CHAPTER 425: CHAPTER 425. MEETING AGAIN

"Did you hear the news?"

"What news?"

"The Reaverson Clan idiot!"

"Rango Revearson was murdered by Kailen Darkhaven!"

"What? How?"

"According to the sources, Ethan Revearson partnered with Kailen Darkhaven to get rid of him!"

"Damn, that’s ruthless. To think he would allow someone to kill his own father!"

"Well, I think it was the right call. The clan was in a mess because of Rango Revearson. Had it not been for Ethan’s clear head and sound mind, the clan would have collapsed a long time ago."

"That’s true. He did what was best for the clan."

"It looks like the rise of the Revearson clan is inevitable."

"Yeah, now that Kailen Darkhaven is backing him, no one will dare make trouble for the Revearson clan in Atlantis."

"That’s true. Who in their right mind would offend Kailen Darkhaven, someone backed by such powerhouses, and has even been looked favorably upon by the mysterious rank 7 supreme stage galactic level powerhouse?"

"Is that rumor about his painting being admired by the powerhouse true?"

"It hasn’t been confirmed, but who in their right mind would speak about a matter concerning such a powerhouse carelessly if it weren’t true?"

News of this caliber spread through every nook and cranny of Atlantis.

At the moment, the focus of the discussions was on the group moving through the streets of Atlantis, roaming the sprawling, glowing underwater metropolis. Light from luminescent buildings and bioluminescent coral reflected off the surrounding water, casting shimmering patterns over the passageways. Schools of fish darted between the towers, and sleek submersible vehicles glided past, leaving trails of bubbles in their wake. The sound of rushing water mixed with distant chatter, giving the city a lively, vibrant hum.

Including Kailen, everyone in the group had gobbled down several appearance-changing elixirs he had given them, giving them extremely different appearances from before.

They had done this because Kailen and Ethan, especially, were the talk of Atlantis at the moment, and if anyone spotted them, dealing with the curious crowd would be a headache.

Also, Kailen knew that some clans were trying to contact him to form connections, and their information specialists were scouring every corner of the realm to find him.

Inasmuch as he was sure that no one in their right mind would dare try anything stupid if he refused to meet them, he did not want to experience a cliché battle with any unreasonable powerhouse because they thought he had been disrespectful. It was a waste of time he didn’t need.

Most importantly, Kailen didn’t want to meet with any of them because, although having more allies would be good, he was satisfied with having the Revearson clan as allies. That was enough for him—more than enough for the allies he was gathering for the showdown with the royal family in the near future.

He didn’t want any more allies in the sea realm.

As they moved through the underwater streets, Kailen navigated Atlantis with ease, as if he had been here several times. Currents swirled gently around the structures, guiding their path through tunnels of coral and arching bridges of glass.

"Seriously dude, have you been to Atlantis before?" Anaya asked, a question on Ethan’s mind.

They were Atlantis locals and therefore knew a lot of places, but for Kailen to maneuver the realm so smoothly, especially for someone who had a poor sense of direction, was unexpected.

"Technically, yeah. One of my shadow creatures has scouted Atlantis before. There’s no way I would have agreed to come to the Revearson clan if I hadn’t scouted Atlantis to be sure all bases were covered. What if there was a trap waiting for us? No offense, Ethan."

"Non taken," Ethan chuckled.

"Guy is too meticulous. Are you that meticulous during... you know..." Esimo said the first thing that came to his mind, his expression betraying his meaning.

After all, no one here was a child.

"Damn bro, the hell?"

"Why would you even ask that, babe?"

"What came over you?"

"Trying to flirt with Kailen or something?"

"Everlong, you sure he ain’t, you know..."

"Naah, I can vouch for him, he’s straight... very straight."

"What the hell is wrong with you guys? Was just a simple question! Why are you all roasting me?"

"Fuck off!"

"But hey, I’m curious. I’m gonna ask Arrie if Kailen is that meticul—"

"Zarek, I thought you were a gentleman."

"Pffftt... this brother of mine? Keep dreaming on, Miranda."

As the group bantered, they spotted a teleportation gate from a distance.

Standing before it were three individuals.

Inasmuch as they had changed their appearances, everyone recognized them.

The three individuals—a female and two males—were Arrie, Charles, and Micheal.

"Looks like we are late," Kailen muttered under his breath.

"Seriously dude, we just got to Atlantis a few moments ago and then boom, you are the talk of town," Charles said, giving Kailen a fist bump. Kailen chuckled and replied,

"What can I say, I try."

"Tsk. Shameless bastard."

"Hello guys. Enjoyed staging the coup?" Micheal added.

"We literally did nothing," Arnold said. "Bro here is too OP. We just relaxed and chilled in Ethan’s room while he got the work done."

"Well, why am I not surprised?" Arrie said, high-fiving everyone with a gleeful expression.

She leaped into Kailen’s arms.

"I missed you."

"I missed you too, and you look more beautiful."

"Really~?"

"Yeah, is it because you’ve broken through to the rank 1 intermediate stage ascendant level?"

"Oh, come on people. Save it for the vacation, lovebirds. We have to go... wait, what?"

"How the hell is Arrie so fast? How long has it been since the banquet?"

Arrie interrupted them, "You guys are one to talk. You are all at the supreme stage ascendant level, so why is my breakthrough weird? And besides, Micheal and Charles broke through to the rank 1 intermediate stage ascendant level too."

"Fair point. I guess everyone here is a freak then."

"Well, congrats on your breakthroughs, guys."

"Time to enter the teleportation gate. Let’s go."

"Yeah, yeah, Black Flask."

"Realm of Enlightenment Fragments, here we come!"
