Lin usually avoided making the cliché remark about waking up to an unfamiliar ceiling, but when he woke up to the sizzling heat and the murmurs penetrating through the walls, he couldn’t help but mutter to himself:

“An unfamiliar ceiling… no, it’s the sky?”

It was blue. A bright, blue sky. The unsettling clarity of it annoyed him. He had just woken up, yet he felt inexplicably angry and irritated.

“You’re awake?”

A beautiful woman with light purple hair blocked the sky. Even though he was looking up from below, her cute face remained flawless. However, Lin found it rather irritating.

“Could you move?”

“Got it.”

As Lin sat up, he realized that he had been resting his head on Tigrea’s lap. Her clear, innocent eyes watching his every move were unnerving.@@novelbin@@

He suddenly realized how much more comfortable he was around Lucy compared to the other party members. Despite the occasional trouble, Lucy would follow him, watching for his cues. Even though she often apologized and seemed at a loss, he didn’t find her presence uncomfortable.

“Are you feeling unwell?”

“Uh… it’s just that I’m not used to getting this much attention.”

“You seemed to talk just fine with Luciena.”

“Even right after saving Lucy, things were awkward.”

“Awkward with me?”

“Exactly.”

“Is it because I was hostile to Luciena?”

Lin quietly observed her before standing up and dusting the sand off his pants. The sand was piled up in various places on his trousers.

“Well, that’s because…”

Even though he felt a familiar sense from her, he found it strange that she was prying.
