The supervisor was so taken aback by Sue’s unexpected presence at the medical conference that hepletely overlooked the subsequentints. He stood there, stunned for several moments, before finally snapping out of his daze. “Wait–who did you say? Sue? Is it her for
sure?”
“Just take a look at the invitation–it’s precisely the person you were talking about.”
The supervisor eagerly grabbed the invitation, his face flushing as he scanned the name. “It is her! Where is she? Take me to her now!”
Skr waited for a considerable time, but no one arrived. Growing bored, she absentmindedly yed with her fingers to pass the time.
“Search every inch of this ce! Don’t you dare overlook a single spot!” Aimeemanded arrogantly, her tone forcing a group of individuals to their knees as they meticulously examined the ground.
Her gaze scanned the room until it settled on Skr. She marched over and demanded, “I heard you were trying to make a run for it just now?”
“Is it not possible for me to leave?” Skr retorted.
Aimee sneered. “Are you running away because you feel guilty? You took something from us. Give it back–now!”
Skr had no idea what they were after, but she defiantly shot back, “What are you talking about? I didn’t take anything. I’m not some petty thief who goes around stealing things.”
“Stop pretending! You were just about to run away–are you seriously going to say you’re not hiding something, and that’s why you can’t stay here?” Aimee asked.
They had already concluded that Skr was the thief, yet they continued to act as if there was still any uncertainty. Aimee had finally caught Skr in what she believed to be a mistake, and she clung to the usation tenaciously, unwilling to let it go.
Aimee sneered. “Still trying to act tough? Guards! Strip her down–I want to search every part of her and see where she’s hiding our family’s treasure!”

“Who dares?” Skr’s cold snarl froze the crowd in ce.
Aimee snorted with impatience. “Why are you all just standing around? Get moving now!”
They exchanged nces between Skr and Aimee. The influence of the Castillo family surpassed that of the unknown woman who had surfaced unexpectedly. “Sorry, nothing personal,” one of them remarked. With their loyalties leaning towards Aimee, they began to encircle Skr.
Upstairs, Yosef noticed themotion below. His expression darkened as he quickly descended the steps, heading straight for Skr.
Skr didn’t want to create a scene, but Aimee just kept provoking her. Skr said calmly, “We could resolve this peacefully, but if you insist on handling it your way, don’t expect me to hold back.”
Aimee scoffed, her voiceced with arrogance. “You’re already in serious trouble, and yet you still have the nerve to talk confidently? What a joke. Instead of wasting your breath, you should be more concerned about your situation.”
‘If you choose to be stubborn, don’t expect me to show mercy,’ Skr thought, dropping into abat–ready stance, her gaze sharp as a de.

unnecessary.”
“Juelz!” Aimee eximed in frustration. “How can you defend this thief? She stole from us! Are we expected to treat her nicely now?”
Juelz shook his head. “But we still don’t have any solid evidence, do we?”
Aimee ced her hands on her hips and eximed, “We’ve searched the entire venue–nothing! The only person we haven’t checked is her. She even tried to escape! If security hadn’t stepped in, she would have been long gone. That pill has to be with her!”
Skr had thought they had lost something significant, given all themotion they were causing. But it turned out to be just a trivial little pill. She scoffed, “Just a worthless little pill–why would I care about it?”
Skr mused, ‘My CardioShield capsule sells for a fortune, while that no–name pill of theirs doesn’t even deserve my attention.
