    He plopped himself down between grandma and grandpa, grinning from ear to ear as he held up the photos, “Grandma, Grandpa, look! These are the pictures we took during our trip. Aren’t they great?”

    However, Yana and Carlos’s eager anticipation vanished, reced by disdain the moment they saw Yosef.

    After Yana learned what Yosef had done to her daughter, she developed a deep loathing for him.

    She frowned when she saw Yosef beside her daughter again. With obvious displeasure, she turned to Adam and asked, “Sweetheart, why was he with you all during this trip?”

    “Grandma, it was me who wanted to go on a trip with Mom and Dad,” Adam said softly, biting his lip. “I’ve never been on a trip with them before.”

    Yana sighed, thinking, ‘Due to Adam, Skr and Yosef might never truly cut ties. Their rtionship is just too tangled to unravel. Who knows if this is a blessing or a curse?

    ‘But times have changed. If only we’d found Skr sooner, she wouldn’t have had to endure so much pain or cross paths with all those terrible people.

    ‘Now that Skr has so many family members protecting her, I suppose Yosef dares not do anything to her. She felt slightly more at ease thinking of this.
