bChapter /bb312 /b

‘With Caden already in the picture and now some surprise husband and kid showing up out of nowhere, it’s obvious Skr isn’t nearly as innocent bas /bshe pretends to be. She’s no different from the rest of those people in the industry,‘ Jamar thought.

‘But even with all that going on, she still turned me down. It’s obvious–she doesn’t think I’m worth her time. She doesn’t take me seriously at all

Jamar’s face flushed crimson with rage. Seething with resentment, he stormed out of thepany and headed straight to a bar to drown his sorrows.

As Skr ate, she texted Dominic.

[Dominic, I don’t think Jamar’s got the right mindset. Someone like that doesn’t belong in iour /ipany. Find an excuse to let him go–but make sure he gets thepensation he’s due.]

Dominic was baffled. He texted: [What did the kid do?]

Skr briefly exined what Jamar had done.

Dominic was frustrated. He felt that Jamar’s talent was going to waste. Jamar’s acting skills were quite good, and with proper training, he could have

    be a star.

But unfortunately, no matter how much potential someone had, bad character ruined everything.

Dominic texted: [I understand. I’ll find the right time to sit him down and talk about terminating the contract.]

With this matter settled, Skr finally put down her phone and focused on her meal.

Right after hanging up with Skr, Dominic immediately called Jamar.

However, his calls went unanswered. At first, Dominic had hoped to talk some sense into Jamar and see if there was still a chance to pull him back on

    track.

But Jamar was too busy partying it up at the bar, pletely oblivious to the phone buzzing in his pocket under the pounding club music.

‘If he won’t even pick up the phone, he’s left me no choice,‘ Dominic thought grimly.

Dominic sighed as he consulted awyer about terminating the contract.

After lunch, Skr returned to thepany alone, while Yosef and Adam headed back home.

Still refusing to believe they could not cook decent dishes, the father and son duo charged straight into the kitchen and got to work as soon as they got

    home.

This time, they were smart about it–they enlisted the help of the family’s personal chefb, /bstanding beside them for hands–on guidance..

Even so, Yosef still struggled to handle the kitchen tools. His movements were clumsy and unpredictable, and with all the banging and ttering, the kitchen sounded more like a wrestling match than à cooking session.

After what felt like ages ofplete chaos, they finally managed to put together a dish that looked properly presentable.

Yosef took a bite and nodded approvingly. “The seasoning is just right,” he said.

Adam tugged at Yosef’s sleeve, eyes wide with anticipation. “Daddy, does it taste good?b” /b

Yosef held out a bite for Adam. “Here, try it,” he said.

Adam beamed. “We did it! I said it, didn’t!? The only way to get better at something you’re bad at is to keep practicingb./bb” /b

Yosef grinned and said, “You’re absolutely right.”

Adam put his hands on his hips and grinned cheekily. “Daddy, let’s learn a few more dishes to cook for Mommy tomorrow!”

    Yosef nodded in agreement.

The father and son diligently followed the chef’s instructions, mastering several new recipes that afternoon.

The following day, Jamar awoke on the sofa in the bar’s VIP room with a splitting headache.

Groggily, he reached for his phone and noticed a string of missed calls. Without much thought, he tapped one and dialed back. “Hello?”

Dominic barked, “Jamar, your phone was dead, and you were nowhere to be found! Where the hell were you?”

Jamar yawned and stretched. “Rx, Dominic. I was out partying. My phone diedst night, and I just got it charged.”

Dominic said, “I don’t give a damn what you did yesterday, and frankly, I won’t have to care anymore. But get your ass back to the office. Now!”

With that, Dominic hung up, leaving Jamar no chance to ask any questions.

Jamar was baffled. ‘What was that all about? Dominic definitely woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning,‘ he thought.
