He left me broken. Now he's back and his apology tastes like sin
Oh King 70
Skr heard footsteps behind her. She knew it was Elianna but pretended not ito /inotice.
Skr wondered what exactly Elianna was up to by following them.
Skr talked with Victor about their ns after reaching the mountain, while sneakily ncing at Elianna iout /iof the corner of her eye.
Skr and Victor stood so close, their heads nearly touching. It looked pretty intimate.
Elianna smirked, thinking, ‘Skr is so open. Doesn’t she worry about getting torn apart by Caden’s fans?b‘ /b
She suddenly had an idea. Dodging the camera crew, she sneakily snapped a few photos and sent them out.
She sent one to Yosef and the other to her agent.
Her agent had worked with Elianna for years and knew her inside out.
Her agent texted: [Should we make a move now?]
Elianna replied: [Not yet. Let’s wait and see.]
After chatting with her agent, Elianna sent another message to Yosef: [Yosef, Skr is chatting away with someone else and totally ignoring me. Is she still mad at me? What should I do?]
Yosef picked up his phone, frowning as he unlocked it and took a look.
Skr tilted her head and whispered something to the person beside her. No one could catch what she said. She wore ba /bfaint smile on her lips.
That smile inexplicably stung him.
He forwarded the photos to Hudson and texted: [Look into this guy.]
Hudsonpiled and organized the gathered information, then sent it over to Yosef.
Hudson texted: [Mr. Campbell, here’s the information you requested,]
Yosef set aside his work and quickly scanned through Victor’s profile.
It was such a thin file, totally useless.
Yosef texted: [Is this everything?]
Hudson replied with certainty: [That’s all. There’s nothing else.]
Yosef tapped his phone lightly with his fingertips, set it aside, and began searching on hisputer himself.
Even after multiple attempts, he still couldn’t uncover Caden’s true identity.
Yosef wondered, ‘Is Caden really as powerless bas /bbthe /bpublic thinksb?/b‘
He was lost in thought.
Skr rubbed her itchy nose, on the verge of sneezing but unable to. It was driving her crazy.
Victor asked with concern, “Are you okay?”
Skr sniffled hard and said, “My nose feels a bit off, but it’s nothing.“.

Victor asked, “Did you catch ba /bchill while sleepingst nightb?/bb” /b
The mountain nights get freezing cold. She could have used two nkets, but she gave one to him, leaving herself bwith /bjust one. No wonder she bwas /b
cold.
Victor said, “Take the extra nket back and use it tonight.”
Skr immediately shook her head. “No need. That wouldn’t be appropriate.”
They had deliberately kept their rtionship private, so to everyone else, they appeared to be iplete /istrangers.
Two strangers sharing a bedb, /bespecially a man and a womanb, /bcould easily spark nasty rumors.
Victor gave a slight nod.
The mountain path was steep and slippery. Skr slipped, but Victor, right below her, quickly caught her around the waist from behind. Otherwise, she would have slid all the way down.
Trailing behind, Elianna took out iher /iphone and started snapping away. She sent the photos straight to Yosef, just likest time.
Elianna texted: [That was so dangerous. Good thing Mr. Yates caught Skr.]
Yosef’s face darkened with the photo he saw on his phone.
He thought angrily, ‘What the hell is Skr doing? Did she forget she’s married? I am not even dead yet, and she’s flirting with other bguys/b.’
Fuming, Yosef threw the file ionto /ithe desk, jabbed his finger at it, and demanded, “Why is one of these numbers wrongb?/bb” /b
The subordinate stammered, “I’ll fix it right away.”
Yosef snapped, “Didn’t any of you double–check before submitting?”
“We…” the subordinate stammered nervously.
“If this ever happens again, you’re all fired.” Yosef loosened his tie and snapped, “Get iout/i.”
The subordinate grabbed the file and hurried out of the office, terrified he’d be caught and scolded if he was even a secondte.
Meanwhile, at the filming location, Skr and Victor had sessfully reached the mountain.
