On their journey, Mana Accomplished Buddha spoke, “This Ten Thousand Immortals Formation was devised by the Tong Tian Sect Master in ancient times and is extremely formidable. Shen Bao has only grasped its surface, not much of its essence. Even so, it’s not something that ordinary people can break through. Thankfully, we know the mysteries within it and have received a magical treasure from Amitabha Buddha. Breaking this formation should not be difficult.”

Filled with joy, Dingguang Delighted Buddha sneered, “Tathagata was once the chief disciple under Tong Tian Sect Master but failed to learn the method to arrange this formation, naturally, he couldn’t break it. This time, as we break the formation, it will be like slapping him hard. Heh heh!”

Ma Yuan Honored King Buddha also laughed, “Dingguang Delighted Buddha is absolutely right. Tathagata, relying on his esteemed position of governing the age, now acts arrogantly. This time, Spiritual Mount has been left crippled by the Demon Tribe, becoming a joke throughout the Three Realms. As we break this formation and send those devils to the Deification Platform, Tathagata will have no face left; he will have to relinquish his esteemed position, won’t he?”

Mana Accomplished Buddha thought to himself, “Even if Tathagata relinquishes his position, it’s not yours!”

Each of the three harbored their own schemes, all coveting Tathagata’s esteemed position of governing the age. They kept their thoughts to themselves.

Soon, the trio had arrived within the territory of Water Curtain Cave.

Now at Water Curtain Cave, every bush and tree was a soldier; the place never rested for a moment. Over a hundred Great Luo Golden Immortals controlled the inside of the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation effortlessly, able to maintain it indefinitely, even for thousands of years.

Among the three, Mana Accomplished Buddha possessed the deepest cultivation and had reached the Realm of Primordial Golden Immortal.

Since the former life of Mana Accomplished Buddha, when he was captured by Zhun Ti as Wu Yun Immortal and refused to submit, he was thrown into the Eight Treasures Merit Pool. Wu Yun Immortal had some fortune; the Holy Mother was confined in the pool by Zhun Ti but was sucked dry by Mosquito Taoist, and ultimately faced her fate at the Deification Platform. However, Wu Yun Immortal realized the Primordial Dao Fruit within and was taken out by Zhun Ti, then placed under Amitabha Buddha and titled Mana Accomplished Buddha.

Since the last time Shen Gongbao almost saw the formation broken by Shen Liu and Ghost Chariot, he put great effort into refining the formation. Now over a hundred Great Luo Golden Immortals manned it, and while it was not unbreakable, it was extremely formidable. Virocana and Pharmacist Buddha had tried several times but were repelled, indicating the formation’s power.

“Enemy attack!”

When a Demon Tribe sentry at Water Curtain Cave saw three bald heads stop a few miles away at the front of Water Curtain Cave, he shouted loudly, followed by an alarm bell ringing across Water Curtain Cave, reaching the heavens.

Dingguang Delighted Buddha said, “Heh! These devils are indeed vigilant.”

Ma Yuan Honored King Buddha said, “They have revealed all their moves, crippling Tathagata; they naturally need to be more cautious now. Otherwise, one wrong step could lead to eternal doom.”

Mana Accomplished Buddha, annoyed by their chatter, interrupted, “Let’s get on with it, quickly finish them off, and then return to Sumeru to report to Amitabha Buddha.”

Dingguang Delighted Buddha said, “Mana Accomplished Buddha is right. No more talk, let’s capture them first.”

Having said this, Dingguang Delighted Buddha waved his large sleeve and summoned a wooden fish, throwing it toward the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation.

The wooden fish made a series of crisp “Dang Dang Dang” sounds as it struck, and Buddha’s light flickered, covering a thousand-mile radius. Within the Buddha’s light, numerous sutra texts flew out, transforming into large characters that landed on the light screen of the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation.

“Amitabha Buddha!” Dingguang Delighted Buddha chanted the Buddha’s name while forming a Dharma Seal with his hands.

The wooden fish’s beating intensified, and instantly, a Dharma Body of Amitabha Buddha emerged from within the golden light, followed by a descending palm strike!

“Maitreya Palm!”

This palm directly struck the light screen of the Ten Thousand Immortals Formation, causing the entire Water Curtain Cave to tremble immediately. Many small demons were unable to keep their footing, and quite a few tumbled to the ground. Suddenly, the area became a frenzy of dust and continuous swearing, buzzing with noises, lively indeed.

Shen Gongbao, looking up at the Dharma Body of Amitabha Buddha towering hundreds of feet high, murmured, “If this is the extent of its power, it still cannot break my Ten Thousand Immortals Formation!”

The Dharma Body of Amitabha Buddha struck the formation again, this time with a giant “Swastika” in its palm. This palm strike, even more powerful than the last, made the entire Water Curtain Cave tremble again. This time, having learned from experience, the small demons clung to large trees and rocks, avoiding the disgrace of the previous fall.

Dingguang Delighted Buddha said, “This Ten Thousand Immortals Formation indeed has some essence; my wooden fish can’t break it!”

Ma Yuan Honored King Buddha laughed, “Let me try!”

Having said that, he offered up a scripture, which was none other than the “Maitreya Sutra,” a scripture that Amitabha Buddha had recited over many years, absorbing the sacred power of Amitabha Buddha, its power was naturally unquestionable. Ma Yuan, the Supreme King Buddha, raised the scripture into the air, and as the scripture met the wind, it grew to a hundred zhang in width and eighty zhang in length, before landing in the hands of Amitabha Buddha’s Dharma Body.

Thus, I have heard, once the Buddha was in the Shravasti, in the solitary garden, Amitabha Buddha flipped through the scripture, expressionless on his face. With every scripture read, Buddha’s Light from his body would surge up several zhangs.

Amitabha Buddha again recited “Thus, I have heard”, then lifted his palm, striking down on the Wanxian Formation!

The spot he struck was the very apex of the Wanxian Formation, where the formation was at its weakest.

With one palm strike, a cracking sound of “crack” was heard immediately, Water Curtain Cave trembled wave after wave; numerous rocks broke apart in moments, many minor demons screamed, then bled from all orifices and died instantly. Those with a Cultivation Level of Immortal Ninefold Realm had their True Spirit break free, heading towards the Deification Platform on Feng Ming Mountain in West Qi; the rest perished entirely, soul and body, not even having the chance to enter the cycle of reincarnation.

In this world, it is so, the law of the jungle, the weak do not even get a chance to ascend to the Deification Platform.

“This is bad!” Shen Gongbao’s expression drastically changed, the Wanxian Formation was about to break.

Having received the scripture, Amitabha Buddha’s Dharma Body’s mana greatly increased, and one strike cracked the zenith of the Wanxian Formation, appearing dense and interwoven like a spider’s web. But then, over a hundred Daluo Golden Immortals abruptly woke from their meditation, swiftly formed hand seals, mana burst forth, demonic aura filled the air, and the light screen of the Wanxian Formation was immediately repaired.

“If such an attack can still be withstood, there is still that Dark Cloud Immortal who hasn’t made a move. It’s unknown if he has any formidable techniques,” Shen Gongbao privately speculated.

Amitabha Buddha’s Dharma Body’s one palm strike failed to shatter the Wanxian Formation, he continued reciting the scripture. After finishing reading the entire “Maitreya Sutra,” he softly said, “Thus, I have heard!”

This utterance of “Thus, I have heard” sounded as though a giant bell was ringing in the ear, a thousand thunders roaring, waves crashing against the shore, the Yellow River furiously flowing into the sea; many people with slightly lower magical power and Cultivation Level immediately covered their ears, rolling on the ground with blood streaming from their noses and mouths.

Ma Yuan, the Supreme King Buddha, coldly scoffed, “Shen Bao, are you not a traitor of Chan Taoist yourself? If you had been more discerning and not opposed Chan Taoist, you might still have been a free and easy Immortal.”

Shen Gongbao cursed loudly, “Tong Tian Sect Master will not spare you! You will soon ascend to that Deification Platform.”

Ma Yuan, the Supreme King Buddha, loudly declared, “I will send you to the Deification Platform right now!”

Unable to hold back, Shen Gongbao drew out his Treasured Sword, which he had cultivated for a long time, and cried, “Take this sword!”

Instantly, a Sword Qi headed towards Ma Yuan, the Supreme King Buddha.

Ma Yuan, the Supreme King Buddha, waved, pointing a finger. From the “Maitreya Sutra,” the four characters “Thus, I have heard” suddenly fell, crushing the Sword Qi into dust, turning into golden light and striking towards Shen Gongbao’s crown.

Fearing the “Maitreya Sutra”, knowing its power, Shen Gongbao dared not block it and had to use Escape Techniques to dodge, thus narrowly escaping danger.

Dingguang Joyous Buddha also prepared to step in, when a loud voice bellowed, “What skill is there in bullying the few with the many!”

Then a fire dragon descended from the sky, carrying a heavy atmosphere of nation’s foundation with it, aiming for his Niwan Palace. Feeling the heavy atmosphere, Dingguang Joyous Buddha knew that it must be none other than Ying Zheng, the eternal Emperor of Qin. Not daring to be negligent, he put away his wooden fish and threw it out, instantly producing a patch of Buddha’s Light. The fire dragon entered the Buddha’s Light and was worn down to a strand of flame, then extinguished by a gust of wind from Dingguang Joyous Buddha’s sleeve.

“White Dragon Overturns the Sea!” Ying Zheng had closed in and employed a sword technique.

Massive waters transformed into a Water Dragon, sweeping towards Dingguang Joyous Buddha.

Protected by the wooden fish, Dingguang Joyous Buddha was not in the least afraid and met it head-on, shattering the Water Dragon and employing Vajra Palm to strike Ying Zheng’s chest!

Ying Zheng lifted the Son of Heaven Sword to block, the two clashing for more than ten rounds, unable to determine a winner in that instant.

How this played out, let a poem testify, which says, “The once eternal Emperor Qin Shi Huang, on Sumeru Mountain the Joyous Buddha stands. Sword Qi reaches the Nine Heavens, Buddha’s Light shines over ten nations.”
