Off to the side, a chill flashed across Princess Baolian's eyes.

Haoyue Geshui, on the other hand, turned his anger into joy. The Prairie people had great respect for promises and agreements. Once the marriage was set, the pearl would no longer slip away—it would definitely be his!

"I..." Princess Nayi was immediately anxious. She already had someone in her heart, and she could not accept even a mere nominal engagement.

"This matter... is settled!" Elder Haoyue seemed to have exhausted his patience, and said with a wave of his hand: "I am your uncle, your elder and I will by no means harm you! The promise I made to you, I will definitely fulfill!"

"The lies of Jin Ge and Yin Ge that have been imposed on you, I will surely wash away, and restore your innocence!"

In a few words, Elder Haoyue's domineering nature was on full display and Nayi's previous schemes were crushed into dust.

Despite being adversaries, Chu Mo couldn't help but silently praise: Impressive!

The situation seemed ready to be determined by Elder Haoyue's domineering declaration. Princess Baolian, who had been sitting quietly, suddenly said, "Wait."

"Does my worthy wife have something to say?" There was a cold light in Elder Haoyue's eyes, his gaze on Princess Baolian was threatening, and he made no attempt to conceal it.

If you truly don't care about your niece and nephew, then speak freely!

Princess Baolian immediately recognized the threat in Elder Haoyue's eyes. She lightly smiled, and said, "The girls of the Prairie, they all like heroes, am I right?"

Elder Haoyue let out a hearty laugh, "Beauty pairs with a hero! Yes!"

Princess Baolian said, "In that case, the most brilliant pearl of the Prairie should also find the bravest hero of the Prairie... Just like when I married you, my husband, wouldn't you agree?"

Elder Haoyue was slightly taken aback, but he had no reason to refute. He could only nod his head and laugh heartily, "This hero, I graciously accept!"

Princess Baolian continued, "I consider myself to be Geshui's mother. I don't have any biological children, so even though Geshui is not my birth son, I see him as my own."

Elder Haoyue cursed inwardly: How could you bear a child when you never allow me to touch you?

"However, even though I am Geshui's mother, I... won't let my personal feelings interfere!" Princess Baolian said righteously, "So, I propose that Geshui competes with the royal court knights."

"As we all know, the royal court knights are the finest young men from our Prairie!"

"If Geshui wins, it naturally proves that he's one of the most excellent young men from the Prairie, a true hero!"

"Then, I am wholeheartedly in favor of this marriage."

"What does everyone think of my suggestion?"

The knights of the royal court who had been following Nayi, as well as Princess Baolian's three hundred royal court knights, cheered loudly.

"Good!"

"Great idea!"

"It should be done this way!"

"Heroes are made, not born!"

Princess Baolian gave a slight smile, looking at Elder Haoyue whose face had become somewhat rigid: "This will also liven up the atmosphere."

At this moment, Haoyue Gemu, who was off to the side, said, "Aunt, I have something to say!"

In terms of age, Gemu was only a few years younger than Princess Baolian. Normally, he couldn't be bothered to call her 'Aunt', but he couldn't ignore formalities here.

Princess Baolian glanced at Gemu, and asked lightly, "What is it, young Gemu?"

The corner of Gemu's mouth twitched. He then said, "Under normal circumstances, letting Geshui spar with the royal court knights to liven up the banquet is not a problem. However… as everyone can see, Geshui, due to his excitement, drank a bit too much today, so he's not at his best. Just now, he was unsteady on his feet. If he goes to compete now, it would be somewhat unfair."

"Why don't we let Geshui's guard take his place?"

"These guards, on normal days, are no match for Geshui!"

With a warm smile on his face, Gemu carefully phrased each sentence.

Off to the side, Haoyue Geshui looked at his elder brother with gratitude.

Elder Haoyue approved, nodding in satisfaction. He had never cared about the open and secret struggles among his sons, but on such important matters, he still hoped that they could unite. No father would want to see brethren fighting against each other.

Princess Baolian considered it, and said, "That works too!"

Haoyue Gemu chuckled, "Then, let's go for best of three."

As he was speaking, Gemu looked at Geshui, who immediately understood, and said: "Who will fight the first round on my behalf? A handsome reward to the victor!"

"Me!"

"I will go!"

"I will go!"

A few of Geshui's guards were instantly filled with excitement, all vying to participate.

The men of the Prairie have never feared battle. They are a naturally warlike race. Their blood... is full of fighting spirit!

Haoyue Geshui swept his eyes across them and pointed to one, "You're up!"

The guard was instantly thrilled, leaping out directly onto the field, where the roaring fire made his youthful figure resplendent.

"Who will fight with me!" On his home turf, this guard was high-spirited, his eyes disdainfully taking in Chu Mo's knights.

The knights on this side were immediately fired up, rising to their feet, ready to teach this arrogant fool a lesson.

Although it had been previously agreed Chu Mo would take on this fight, these hot-blooded men, under the influence of liquor, were finding it hard to control themselves. However, the refinement and quality of these knights were amongst the best in the Prairie.

Therefore, even though they were furious and ready to duel, they had not lost their rationality.

At this point, Chu Mo rose to his feet and said with a smile, "I'll do it."

"You all have been famous knights of the royal court for many years, and it would seem a little unfair if you were to do it. So, I'll handle this."

Chu Mo's words were quite sharp.

The guard from the Haoyue Tribe beside the fire, looking pompously at Chu Mo, had murder in his eyes, coldly questioned, "Who are you? You're so young... are you a royal court knight? How come I haven't seen you before?"

"There are thousands of knights in the royal court, have you seen them all?" Nayi interjected calmly from afar, "He is the guard knight I personally appointed!"

The guard from the Haoyue Tribe was lost for words. Even as arrogant as he was, he dared not confront the princess of the royal court face-to-face.

Upon seeing Chu Mo standing up, Elder Haoyue's eyes slightly narrowed. He then called someone over and quietly instructed them. The person seemed a bit taken aback but quickly departed.

Chu Mo slowly stepped forward, walked towards the guard, and said with a smile, "I won't take advantage of you, you can go first!"

"Boy...you are bringing this on yourself, don't blame me!" The guard lowered his voice, looked menacingly at Chu Mo, and said, "It's not too late to kneel and beg for mercy!"

Chu Mo slightly smiled, reached out his hand, and curled his finger, "Go ahead."

"Seek death!" The guard got angry at once, roared, and charged directly at Chu Mo.

The primordial force fluctuated around him, creating a mighty explosion that even caused the nearby campfire's flames...to recede.

"Good!" A group of warriors from the Haoyue Tribe immediately cheered.

"Hey, this kid is simply courting death. Mu Han, our Haoyue Tribe's exceptional expert, is approaching the Primordial Pass. Defeating him would be as easy as crushing an ant!"

"Haha, yes, this kid must be secretly in love with Princess Nayi, and now that she's about to join our Haoyue Tribe, he must be jealous and lost his sanity!"

"I can hardly bear to watch it's simply an adult bullying a child!"

"Don't kill him with a single punch, that wouldn't be fun!"

A group of Haoyue Tribe warriors jeered and guffawed, completely disregarding the young man.

The royal court knights accompanying Princess Baolian, were enraged, their faces filled with anger and wishing to tear those people apart.

However, The royal court knights accompanying Princess Nayi, showed a disdainful sneer.

"Defeating Young Master Lin is like crushing an ant?"

"An adult bullying a child?"

"Kill with one punch?"

Don't make us laugh!

If it wasn't for the bigger plan awaiting them, these royal court knights, who had experienced life and death with Chu Mo, would have loved to stand up and teach these ignorant fools about the heroic deeds of Young Master Lin.

Bang!

The guard chosen by Haoyue Geshui did possess some abilities. His punch created a booming sound, causing even the air to explode.

The rekindled, even brighter campfire illuminated this guard's face, making it more sinister.

Chu Mo stood there, thin and frail. Despite standing tall, it was clear to the others that he was at a disadvantage.

Only Elder Haoyue, his eyes flickering with icy light, watched Chu Mo, his face devoid of any smile. The two personal guards also kept a vigilant eye on Chu Mo.

As the guard's huge fist approached Chu Mo, he could even feel the fierce wind coming from it!

And...the guard's triumphant and hideous smile.

That's when Chu Mo finally made his move!

Just like that, he punched out.

This punch was as fast as a lightning bolt!

His punch was late but came first...exploding right into the guard's fist.

Bang!

A dull sound echoed.

There was no earth-shattering impact, nor any desperate scream.

The guard of the Haoyue Tribe was forced to retreat several steps to finally stabilize his balance.

"You lost," Chu Mo said indifferently.

The noisy surroundings suddenly went quiet.

Everyone was astonished, hardly believing their eyes. Even though Princess Nayi had claimed this boy as her knight, his age...was a bit too young!

He looked no more than fourteen or fifteen years old. How could he beat Mu Han with just one punch? His power...was too strong! Moreover, it was obvious he had shown mercy!

Despite their reluctance to admit it, they were not fools. The people of the prairie respected heroes and power. Despite their unwillingness to believe it, what they had seen silenced the warriors of the Haoyue Tribe, their faces turning ugly.

How embarrassing!

Mu Han initially froze before screaming in anger and attempting to charge at Chu Mo again.

"Enough!" Elder Haoyue in the high seat coldly shouted, "You lost. Don't make a fool of yourself. Are we, the men of the prairie, not able to admit defeat?"

Mu Han shuddered slightly before finally kneeling towards Chu Mo, "I'm sorry, I lost! Mu Han admits defeat."

With that, he stood up and walked away, his face pale.

"Next one!" one of the knights beside Pang Zhongyuan announced loud.

"Next one!"

"Next one!"

The others screamed in unison.

Elder Haoyue smirked, "Don't worry, he will come soon!"

Clang, clang, clang!

From a distance, a sound echoed as if someone were dragging a heavy chain.

Princess Baolian, who had been sitting quietly, suddenly stood up, her face turned, and angrily said to Elder Haoyue, "You...how could you bring him? This is against the rules!"

"Oh?" Elder Haoyue smiled lightly, "He's the guard I just granted to Haoyue Geshui."
