Chapter 293 - 292-Recreate A Scenario.
CHAPTER 293: CHAPTER 292-RECREATE A SCENARIO.
Now the tides of where this was going have changed, a single rumour and info that Azrail provided turned the tables on where the power was staying within the table. Azrail couldn’t see it, but he could understand in depth the fact that the elders who are in cahoots are already talking with each other through their own secret methods.
And it didn’t even take a moment longer before Dravokh, taking the lead, asked, his voice a bit softer than before.
"Is there any other faction already having its eyes on this?"
He asked, to which Azrail, with a nod, replied,
"Yes, there is one."
His words turned the atmosphere a bit more down, the whole situation having a chance now, but Azrail didn’t let that fester for long before he continued.
"But it’s only a Cosmic Neophyte."
At the mention of the rank of the organisation, the atmosphere turned even better. For a moment, Azrail saw a slight smile coming to the face of Dravokh. The communication between the elders was secret and swift as Dravokh asked,
"How sure are you of this information?"
"A 100%."
Azrail’s reply now set forth the new path for all of them to take as Dravokh asked,
"An intent in order for you to still stay at Olympus, right?"
Azrail nodded his head and replied,
"That’s right, I won’t take any shares in this."
Azrail’s words held a lot of desires. It wouldn’t be easy to hide the info. In fact, many would perhaps even be able to guess it. After all, Azrail’s show of such power and the rumours of a newly chosen one taken for Thanatos would spread around. After all, the Oblivian’s Embrace would start moving, which would alert everyone.
Thus, there would be speculation, but until the faction of Oblivian’s Embrace doesn’t confirms anything, the rumour will remain a rumour, which is what Azrail will be using as his power to get hold of what he wants from Olympus, while at the same time integrating his own powers into it too.
"The offer you gave is too tempting to push away, and with the power levels you have described, it’s basically being handed to us on a silver platter. So I think we can make a deal here."
Dravokh spoke, but Azrail’s eyes narrowed within his cloak.
’Still greedy... huh?’
Azrail mused at those words, though he had expected this, of course. Thus, Azrail’s right hand tapped at the table, a small force spreading out as Azrail started to speak.
"How about this? Why don’t you all first take it under your control? The elements there will be very blessed. With that, we can perhaps move on to other discussions on where this faction will be heading."
Azrail’s words had a certain edge to them. He was displaying the fact that he was no mere child to be played around with. He gave in to their demands, a contract of sorts, satisfying their desires for more power in order for some time to stay within Olympus, which would allow for more breathing space for him to move.
"You do know of the responsibilities you will have to deal with, right? The longer it stretches, the more chances for failure to happen."
Azrail smirked at his words. Staying tuned to the situation, he replied,
"I will not be avoiding any of the responsibilities that were placed on me. The top brass, the ones we can trust fully, will be aware of my presence, and I will be training and growing stronger here while taking part in all activities. I just need the time to get some of my things done. Quite a good deal, if I say so myself, a deal for my privacy, of me keeping everything in the dark."
A certain edge was added to the last of Azrail’s words, his final answer being the path here, it was also added with him hiding about his face and his true name and pushing forth any more would only bring more trouble as a whole. A moment of silence later, Dravokh nodded his head, his eyes seemingly having gained a certain dangerous hue as he replied,
"Alright, that doesn’t seem like a bad deal, as long as your vision and knowledge provide more profit and growth. After all, we need a strong leader for the future."
Azrail nodded his head at Dravokh, his words teeming with the fact that they would be watching now. It was all tinged with the desire to see what more profits Azrail would be able to provide to the whole place. The situation has turned a little relaxed as Azrail took out a document, sliding it to the centre as he spoke.
"These are the coordinates of everything, right down to the last info. You all can go through it."
Even just as Azrail was speaking, no doubt the elders had taken down all the info, it being stored safely with them, and the path of how to proceed would then be decided by them.
"As we proceed further, how do you plan we take it? We need to discuss some of that."
Dravokh spoke, his words having deeper meaning to them as Azrail, after a moment of thought, spoke,
"I would still first like an overall idea about the place. While all of you take this on and get more resources, I will thoroughly understand everything better and style my plans based on that."
Everyone accepted those words as Azrail added,
"Which would mean I would need someone to take me around and teach me everything."
Azrail’s words had a small touch, and the moment he said this, he felt the whole atmosphere turn around for a different reason. On the outside, even with his face hidden, Azrail kept a normal outlook, but his words had a secret dagger hidden in them. After all, the elders were busy. They wouldn’t have the time to teach him, which means someone would have to.
That points toward an opportunity for the chosen one to get close to Azrail and get more info on him, or perhaps even get really close to him. What better way for that than to place a woman by Azrail’s side? There’s no doubt that Azrail is a male, which would show up with the fact that it might be a chance for the elders to score some points.
’I smell war in the room.’
Azrail smirked on the inside. Till now, they all stood strong and connected against him, but this single opportunity is too great for any of them to pass off. Getting such strong connections and bringing Azrail closer to them will only bring even more profit, especially after seeing how powerful, sharp, cunning, and resourceful Azrail has shown himself to be.
None of the elders will be able to give up on having the opportunity to stick someone close to Azrail for it. And while everything looked normal on the surface, Azrail could tell the fact that a war might be going on behind the scenes.
’Huh... take this as a small petty revenge for all the pressure.’
Though that is not really Azrail’s intention, he already had his own plans when he set out for this place. And for all of that to be complete and given, he needs certain things to flow in the same way they should have. Azrail’s mind flashed with the plot line on how the story went for that chosen one who actually came here.
This scenario must be recreated if Azrail wants to touch upon creating a certain path he wants to take. Thus, Azrail leaned against the chair, a relaxed posture as he spoke.
"So, who can I get?"
His words rang loudly in the room.
