CHAPTER 299: CHAPTER 298-DATA CENTERS.
It seems the side of Elder Seraphelis focused on dealing with the darkness and the sullied side of the whole faction of Oblivion’s Embrace.
Azrail spoke, the tea having being finished on both his glass and Lyx, the words spoken by Lyx has only opened up to him more truth about the whole way it is, to Thanatos, Seraphel is his cleaner, the one that takes away the dirt that has fallen into the faction, the cleaner in a sense that deals with holding the information.
It just isn’t the information, they are not just the parts that record the information but also the ones that gets information out of people that need be done, the voice of theirs seductive enough to get the answer from anyone with a weak will, they all being trained to get into any place and get any info, even from the dead.
Several spies are trained and bought from this place, the whole of this faction is very mysterious in its ways, they hold the information that is of use, record them and they decide who needs to be eliminated, the underbelly that makes sure the true dirts and darkness of their faction is hidden or erased while making sure to hold the darkness of the other factions.
’The perfect place to begin with’
Knowing how Thanatos had different control over Seraphel, he had given her these dirt works, but she had taken them and transformed them into something more sophisticated and quite beautiful in its way.
The way they work, the info being taken, and the way such information ceases to exist, Seraphel herself, taking her path, and created several fields on it, which goes to make the whole process more elegant and graceful than what it would be.
Which would translate towards the fact that anybody in this faction cannot be taken lightly at all, they are very well trained and only the most sly and clever of the clever gets into the place, which goes forth to show that to even become the direct disciple of Seraphel, you need to have that special talent and a mind smooth enough to get the information out of anyone.
Azrail’s eyes narrowed as he looked at Lyx in front of him, her demeanour looking as refined and graceful as one can be but her mind being sharper than many, to Azrail this is the best place to begin to tear the Oblivion’s Embrace piece by piece until it’s only left of what he needs, the fact of it is Thanatos still believes she hold the omen of promise in him which prevents him from even forming harmful thoughts at hurting or destroying this faction.
’And his arrogance will be his undoing’
Holding to this thought, Azrail spoke to Lyx.
"I assumed due to the nature of all your work, the members would be very discreet and more controlled in nature."
To his words, Lyx responded.
"Indeed, a special criterion needs to be passed before one can enter the faction, only the most sly and sharp-minded get the chance to get here and learn the best of the best."
Azrail nods his head at her word. Of course, that doesn’t mean there don’t exist several other normal working members too; the really powerful ones are just hidden, while several ’normal’ members walk among them and hidden among them will be the deadliest of spies that could get anything out of you too.
There is also the even more hidden ones that records all these information, the ones that will then have to decide which information is worth saving and which information needs to be destroyed, the main ideology in this place to hide several truths in plain sight, even the most ordinary of person you see, hidden behind their nice smile would be the dagger that shall stab you in the back.
"Let’s move, shall we?"
Lyx spoke, to which Azrail nodded his head. The two of them stood up after which Lyx took the lead, opened the door, and walked out, Azrail keeping his pace as the two of them entered towards a large pathway, with calm steps walking side by side, the two of them moved through the hallway towards a larger opening.
And during this walk, Azrail suddenly asked.
"So what do you deal with?"
To his question, after a moment of pause, Lyx replied.
"Us direct disciples would be the ones to one day ascend to the position of power that master Seraphel holds, but for now we deal with managing several larger divisions of units, of espionage, information storage, spying and information destruction and more."
Azrail nodded his head, taking in the words as the two of them soon reached into a wide hall, Azrail’s eyes moving through the place as he took in the large vast hall, several members could be seen moving around, each of them belonging to different species and ranks, their matching uniform providing a certain beauty of the whole scene.
Azrail could see the members walking into the hall connecting towards a different path, all of them moving in sync and with their own duties.
"This is the hall that connects to different sectors within the division."
Lyx suddenly spoke, to which Azrail nodded his head.
"The real and main component parts exist outside of All-Realm; here it’s more of this building where each of our members meet with their ’friends’ and ’marks’, guiding information after which it would be passed on correctly to the superiors."
Azrail took in the vast sight; the hall itself was huge enough that the ends couldn’t be seen, and the number of the ones moving around was beyond counting. Within the ends of the hall were openings that led towards pathways, and outside of each pathway, the members had to prove themselves before they could enter.
"There are special heads in each department that guide them, they work and answer just below my master."
Lyx added, Azrail staying silent as he came to understand deeper into the workings of the place, his mind reeling at the sheer data that would pass through here, as Lyx suddenly added again.
"Shall we move forth? I would show you the addition of each data."
Azrail replied.
"Sure."
With those words, a mark of invitation hit Azrail, after which he gave the permission, hence seconds later, the two of them appeared in another vast path, his eyes adjusting to it as he came to understand that he was in more of a viewing balcony, his gaze settling down at several different members moving below.
All of them seemingly stopped for a moment, taking a small piece of paper after which they wrote on it, the paper itself disappearing into nothing after they finished writing, and just like that, they would move away as if nothing happened, entering back into another hall.
"Only a highly classified member has the right to see through the information and decide on its value, and depending on the value of the information, your rewards would come to you."
Lyx’s answer made Azrail smile, a small gleam in his eyes as he asked.
"Each special member would also then have the situation of choosing the mission they want or even have the right to be granted special missions, right?"
To his question, Lyx nodded her head and replied.
"Yes, but for the long-term members placed in as sleeper agents, they have something deeper to them when they complete the tasks that were given to them."
Azrail didn’t reply to it, he just stood at the height above from the viewing balcony, taking in the sights, he working on the ways to get all this info to use in his way.
