Help! My Male Employees Are Having Babies!
Chapter 235: The Fainting Fathers Club
CHAPTER 235: THE FAINTING FATHERS CLUB
Lex and Zack walked out of the room and headed toward the other end of the complex for the breeding pods.
"Grandfather, if you don’t mind, I would like to run a blood test. I’ll start with Lonnie—he’s very apprehensive no matter what Stanton tries to convince him. He just doesn’t believe it will happen for him." Lex paused as they walked. "I want you to take Stanton out of the room while I run the test on him. I know he’s not going to want to leave his new mate, but it will be easier for Lonnie to understand that we only mean the best for him. Donnie already knows he’s pregnant—he is over the moon about Zendar—but I’ll still run one on him just to prove to everybody that the Z1 does good work."
Zack buzzed the intercom and told the two occupants that they better be ready because they were getting a couple of visitors. Lonnie was sitting on the corner of the bed red-faced, and Stanton was grinning like a rackknar who licked its ass.
"Stanton—and I’m going to use your real name, not your nickname of Wolfie—I need you to go with Mr. Zack while I do a personal test on Lonnie." Lex gestured toward the door. "He needs a little privacy just in case things don’t turn out the way he thinks they are going to."
"Yes sir, Mr. Lex. I understand what you’re going to do, and I can respect his privacy even though I’ve seen all those goodies and had his goodies several times." Stanton grinned, but Zack reached over and grabbed Wolf by his ear, pulling the man out the door.
Lex asked Lonnie to please remove his robe and lean over the bed so that he could insert the testing probe into his vent. "It will be a little bit of discomfort for a second, but it will be okay."
Lonnie grunted as the probe entered his vent, and then it was gone.
"Okay Lonnie, you see this long cylinder here? Down here is a chemical. When I push the probe that has your secretions on it through the diaphragm, there will be a chemical reaction that detects hormones for expectant Genmen as early as two hours after conception." Lex held up the device. "Red means no pregnancy, a light blue means a fresh pregnancy, a dark blue means a very positive pregnancy. Are you ready for me to put it through and to see what happened last night?"
Lonnie was putting his robe back on and took a seat, jabbering on about how there wasn’t any way he was pregnant—not whatsoever. His mouth fell open when the probe ruptured the diaphragm and it turned a bright dark blue in color.
"Keep on complaining, daddy, because not only are you pregnant, you’re very pregnant. It looks like Wolfie is going to have a little cub running around in nine months." Lex smiled. "Now, can you show me exactly where you felt your burning and when?"
A shocked Lonnie laid back and loosened his robe to expose his abdomen. He pointed at the upper left-hand side of his abdomen and then pointed again toward the lower right-hand quadrant. "The first time it was about 10 minutes after he let himself go inside me, and after he had two other deliveries of his seed, then it started burning down here low. What exactly does that mean?"
Lex closed the robe back up and gently patted Lonnie’s hand. "I can tell you from prior experience, it definitely looks like you’re going to have a pair of Wolf Cubs to deal with in nine months, so I would expect that you’re going to get quite large during this pregnancy. Stanton is not a small man, and I don’t expect his offspring will be small either, but with your body structure you will have no problem carrying for your mate." He paused. "Congratulations. Shall we bring the expectant father back in and let him know what we found? Because he’s going to need to sit down for this one."
Lonnie shook his head yes and sat up on the bed.
Lex opened the door to see a very nervous Stanton pacing up and down the hallway. He called the man in and told him to have a seat next to Lonnie.
"I’m very sorry. I know you were hoping for a child—a Wolf cub, as you call it—but I didn’t give you one." Lonnie looked over at Stanton with downcast eyes.
Stanton hugged Lonnie tight and kissed him on the forehead. "That’s okay. We can try again and again as many times as it takes. We’re going to have one eventually."
"Maybe next time, but this time we’re going to have us a Wolfpack. Lex says I’m carrying twins, so you’ll have two Wolf Cubs to love." Lonnie looked at Stanton and took a deep breath.
It took Stanton a couple of seconds to realize what Lonnie had said, and when he stood up, he wilted even faster and hit the floor.
"The bigger they are, the harder they hit when they pass out." Zack chuckled. "Now Lonnie, congratulations. Next we’re going to go see Donnie to check on him and see how he’s doing, but I’m going to tell you right now it took last night. His mate and he are also going to be expecting at the same time as you. Lex still has to run a test, but believe me, he already knows he’s pregnant—he can already hear the baby talking to him."
"So the voices I hear in my head are not my imagination? They’re the babies that I’m carrying right now? The same babies that I was told that I would never have by the Corporation?" Lonnie looked at Lex with wonder.
"Yes, Lonnie, the voices that you hear are your children. Genmen, especially purebloods, can hear their own children talking through them. When they’re happy or sad, when they’re stressed or worried, your babies will talk to you. You just need to be in tune with them and talk back through your thoughts. And have Stanton talk to them too—he can lay with you, put his hand on your belly, and communicate with his children too." Lex explained patiently. "Now with humans it’s a little bit different because they talk out loud. Genmen are special—we have that bonding inside of us. Humans are still a little on the rough side when it comes to genetics. Give him a couple minutes and he’ll come around, and the two of you need to talk over a few things, but don’t worry about housing and living arrangements. Mr. Zack has all that taken care of already."
Lex left the two alone and went next door to where Donnie and Patrick were waiting. Donnie was very ready to get the test over—there was not a doubt in his mind he was expecting his child that was conceived between him and Patrick out of love. Donnie didn’t want Patrick to go anywhere; he wanted him present while the test was run so he could prove to him exactly how committed he was to this union. Just like Lonnie, bright blue—it was a positive pregnancy. Both of them were very happy with Donnie’s pregnancy. Then he was off to see Jason and Jim.
Lex walked in and saw the two snuggled up together. Jim dwarfed Jason, and he pitied the fool who ever tried to come between the two. Lex felt that he needed to talk to Jason.
"Due to the fact of how you arrived here, I must put a monitoring ribbon around your leg at your ankle. If you get too close to the perimeter lines, you will get a slight jolt. If you attempt to run past it, it will hit you with enough voltage to knock you unconscious but not harm your baby—you understand that? And if anyone has their hand on you attempting to remove you from the Z1, they will get double what you do. It’s a self-defense monitoring system." Lex’s tone was matter-of-fact. "The other two will also be fitted with the same system prior to going to the house that Mr. Zack has readied for you."
"Jason, it’s not that I don’t trust you—it’s that I don’t trust others. You were meant for something else, just like the other two that were in town that you told us about. What you didn’t know is they had already been caught." Zack stepped up. "I have a four-bedroom home in an area next to a couple of other couples. There’s a bedroom for you and Jim with an attached bath, and rooms for the other two couples with attached baths. The fourth room is going to serve as a nursery for the three of you that are expecting. You will live together as a family unit. The other two are brothers from the same place you’re from, though you might not know them, and if you do, please no pre-judgments about their old life because they will not prejudge you. Their mates are like yours—human—and you will all birth hybrids. One is expecting twins and the other a single, and like you, this is their first go around, so everything is new for the humans and the Genmen alike."
Zack continued, "The men work on the construction crew and will work daily. When they come home, you’re expected to be at home, and a meal shall be furnished for them to consume. It doesn’t matter if any of y’all can cook or not because you’re going to classes, and they will have to learn to love mistakes. The other two are going to need a little help because one is 24, the other’s 23, and they have just started their nectar production. The Corporation was giving them injections to stop their cycles and their nectar production. I don’t know what they had planned for them, but they were still pure and intact prior to this breeding, but we took care of that at the Z1."
"Does this seem like something you can deal with?" Zack asked.
