CHAPTER 43: CHAPTER 43: A SLEAZY ENCOUNTER WHILE DISCUSSING THE CASE

The eyes of the two old men lit up instantly at the sight of such a young and beautiful girl.

A slightly plump boss leered at Talia Rhodes, "Who is this?"

Victor Kenyon rolled his eyes at Talia Rhodes, his gaze disdainful.

Talia placed the contract on the table and with a slight smile said, "President Zhao, President Liu, I am Lawyer Rhodes from Senco Law Firm, here to discuss a contract with you."

Talia sat down on a nearby single sofa, "President Zhao, your company’s legal consulting contract with the previous law firm is about to expire, right? You might consider signing a legal consulting contract with our firm. Senco is the top law firm in Oakhaven, renowned for its civil, criminal, intellectual property, and administrative lawyers."

"Also, I heard that President Liu’s company is involved in a trademark infringement dispute. Our firm’s IP lawyers have handled thousands of trademark infringement cases. Choosing our firm would be a wise decision."

President Zhao casually flipped through a couple of pages of the contract Talia handed over, then tossed it aside.

He stared intently at Talia, his smile sending chills down one’s spine, "Legal consultant, huh? Sure, sure. Lawyer Rhodes, have a few drinks with me first, and I’ll be open to discussion."

The other President Liu also leered at Talia Rhodes with a lascivious gaze, "Lawyer Rhodes is young and beautiful; it’s a pity to only be a lawyer. Why not consider following me? You won’t have to work so hard on cases anymore. I’ll give you a hundred thousand a month, how about it?"

Talia forced a smile and said, "Sorry, President Liu, I’m here to discuss a case, not to sell myself."

Talia kicked them both, striking their weak spots, and while they were distracted, she bolted.

An old man, furious, shouted menacingly, "Fuck! You dare kick me? Chase her! She’s dead tonight, this ignorant bitch!"

Victor Kenyon was the first to chase after her.

The two old men quickly followed as well.

Talia rushed out of the room, not even waiting for the elevator, and dashed downstairs.

She was wearing high heels, making it inconvenient to run. When she reached the first floor and exited the stairwell, she ran into someone.

Talia fell into a broad and warm embrace, surrounded by the fresh scent of wood on the man.

She suddenly looked up, meeting Adrian Jennings’ worried eyes.

Adrian Jennings held her, "Talia, what happened? Why are you running so urgently?" "Adrian..."

As soon as Talia called his name, someone from behind caught up.

Victor Kenyon, realizing something was off upon catching up, immediately adjusted his expression and slipped away casually, pretending to be a passerby.

He signaled the bodyguards with a look.

Behind him, four bodyguards understood and subdued the two men.

Talia explained the whole story to Adrian Jennings.

Adrian Jennings held Talia’s hand, "I’ll take you home."
