CHAPTER 515: FATHER-SON RELATIONSHIP

What a little brat, only thinking about toys.

Daisy Ginger pouted, leaned back on the pillow, and lazily said, "I’m just stuck in the hospital because of my injury... why don’t you think of a way to get me out, and I’ll take you to the toy store?"

—"Don’t even think about it."

The voice that coldly said this wasn’t George Stephens, but rather the man entering the room with a food package at the door.

Daisy Ginger and George Stephens both looked up at the door, and annoyance crossed their faces.

Leaving a bad impression on Dad again! It’s all this bad woman’s fault! — This is George Stephens.

Oh no, he heard it and I’ll get lectured again! — This is Daisy Ginger.

Edward Stephens walked in, saw George, and frowned unconsciously.

And George, upon seeing him, couldn’t help but straighten his little chest, trying to behave in front of Edward Stephens.

Edward Stephens placed the food box on the small table and looked at Daisy Ginger, "What were you just saying?"

"I didn’t say anything just now."

George gave her a disdainful look.

"Get up and eat."

Edward seemed uninterested in pursuing the matter and instructed Daisy, then turned to look at George beside the bed, who was watching him eagerly.

When their eyes met, George seemed a bit nervous, his expression stiffened, appearing somewhat expressionless.

Edward didn’t say anything, just went outside, and soon, his voice making a phone call came from outside the door.

Even though Daisy couldn’t hear clearly what he was saying, she suspected he was asking someone to come and take George away.

The little brat stood alone on the ground, not getting any response from his father. He slowly lowered his head, pressed his lips, and his expression was a bit fragile and stubborn.

Seeing his lonely figure, Daisy sighed softly, just as she was about to comfort him a few words behind Edward’s back, the man ended the call and came back in.

"Someone will be here soon to pick you up." He approached the small table and opened Daisy’s lunch, filled with seafood, choosing her favorite foods.

"Is there anything you want to eat? Come and have some."

His voice was cool and indifferent, with no mood particles, but the last sentence still made George’s eyes light up instantly.

Excited, he glanced at Edward, seeing him focused on unpacking the food box, and so he eagerly scooted next to the small table, tiptoeing, trying to help Edward with the unpacking.

This little brat, knowing to strike while the iron is hot.

Daisy chuckled, walked over, and held him in her arms, showing him the food Edward bought.

"What do you like to eat?"

She looked down at him and asked softly.

"Dad..." George cautiously called out to Edward.

Edward lifted his eyes, gave him a glance without any expression, handed the disposable chopsticks to Daisy, and said, "You eat here, I’m going out for a bit."

"Aren’t you eating?" Daisy asked.

"No appetite."

His figure vanished at the doorway.

Even though Edward didn’t immediately send George away, he also couldn’t bear to have him remain in his space.

Daisy looked down at George in her arms, watching Edward’s retreating figure with confusion and fascination, feeling a bit complicated.

Children’s feelings for their parents are truly the most naturally pure, loving without reason, and without rationality.

"Let’s eat, okay?" Daisy coaxed him, "Do you like shrimp? I’ll peel them for you..."

PS, today I went on a long trip, been on the road since 9 AM, and writing the two Chapters for this evening on my phone while on the train.

A poor author still at work on the train.
