“Who are you looking for?” Doctor Lee didn’t expect visitors in the anomaly. Normally, he wouldn’t answer the door, but the situation inside the home was not better than outside.

“My son’s name is Gao Ming. He hasn’t come home. He’s too obedient to stay out s late.” The middle-aged woman was dressed fashionably. She had wrinkles around her eyes. “Someone told us that he had gotten into this building. Have you seen him?”

“Gao Ming?” Doctor Lee spelled out the name. Meeting Gao Ming’s parents was not within his prediction. The couple looked about the same age as he was. There was nothing strange about them.

“Yes! Have you seen him?” The middle-aged man was excited.

“Will people bring their parents into the anomaly?” Doctor Lee pressed his lips. If this were any other person, he wouldn’t have believed them. However, Gao Ming was an exception. After all, Gao Ming started his own high school at Everlasting Life Apartments.

Doctor Lee thought about it soundlessly. Suddenly, a baby’s cry came from the bedroom. Ou Yang Susu carried the child and stood in the shadow of the living room. She asked, “Honey, who is at the door? It’s almost midnight.”

Doctor Lee and Ou Yang Susu had been married for a long time. He had never been so scared by Ou Yang Susu as when she called him ‘honey’.

“The child is crying hard. It seems to be scared. Honey, get back here. Stop talking to the strangers!” Ou Yang Susu regarded the couple outside the door with open hostility. The black lines in her eyes had been dominated by the future.

“They are Gao Ming’s parents. They don’t seem like bad...” Doctor Lee’s words were stuck in his throat. Compared to the middle-aged couple outside the door, the baby Ou Yang Susu was carrying seemed more like a ghost. After all, their child died during childbirth.

Since Doctor Lee refused to return, Ou Yang Susu started to coax the baby. Her expression was so loving that it numbed Doctor Lee’s skull. Her large body enveloped the baby’s. Her face was close to the baby’s tiny hands.

The old lady smiled kindly. Doctor Lee went to search for incense. However, the couple seemed to purposely challenge the table. They ‘accidentally’ knocked over the incense pot during their search. The dust in the pot spread all over Doctor Lee. The old lady’s expression in the picture became more severe. However, Gao Ming’s parents didn’t seem to notice anything as they continued to shout at the top of their lungs.

This caused Doctor Lee’s heart to skip a beat. Were the couple purposely revealing Gao Ming’s name so that the old lady could curse him? Were they compiling all the misfortune for him?

Doctor Lee wanted to leave. He thought the couple was scary.

Holding his family portrait, Luo Dong had tears on his face. His body was covered in wounds. The curse had seeped into his bones. He didn’t think Prosperity Neighbourhood would be this dangerous.

The worst future appeared in Building Three. He saw his wife die horribly, his daughter’s soul vanquished, and his son lost his mind before running away. Only he remained. ?A?O??E?S

“I have to find him,” Luo Dong knew danger could be hidden behind every door. However, he had to risk it for his children. It was this faith that supported him onward. Despite the wounds on his body, his eyes were as clear as water.

Luo Dong checked the different rooms. He forgot time and himself. Despite that, his constitution was strong.

Luo Dong knocked on another door. He thought it would be another curse. His heart pounded heavily. The blood that oozed out of his wounds emitted a meat fragrance.

“Something behind this door is summoning me...”
