CHAPTER 105: CHAPTER 106: NEW HOME (PART 1)

Ruan Xingwen now wants a closer relationship with Yu Xiaozhe, so he happily accepted Yu Xiaozhe’s help.

Completely ignoring Andy, who was anxiously hopping around nearby.

Little Yuan was confused, "Anan, are you feeling unwell?"

Andy: "..."

These two are so naive it makes one anxious! How could Xingxing agree so easily!

"Xingxing, wait a moment..."

Ruan Xingwen gestured to him to hold on for a second, then walked to a further spot to take a phone call.

Leaving behind a worried Andy, a still clueless Little Yuan, and a relieved but sweating Su Liguo.

Standing by the pool, looking at the clear water, Ruan Xingwen began to speak:

"Brother Ze, I’m moving in today."

The cheerful tone made the person on the other end of the call feel his happiness too.

Yu Xiaozhe unconsciously smiled, "Alright, I got it. Let me know if you need anything, I’ll have someone send it over."

Ruan Xingwen quickly said, "No need, Brother Ze. I don’t lack anything, I just wanted to ask if you’re free tonight? I’d like to invite you to dinner!"

Glancing at the work schedule on the desk, there was a gathering at six with Fang Wenkai.

Yu Xiaozhe raised his hand to mark a cross on the calendar, calmly replying, "I’m free, I’ll be available after approximately five o’clock."

"Great! I’ll send you the address later, just come over then."

Yu Xiaozhe obediently replied, his tone gentle, "Alright."

Just before hanging up, Ruan Xingwen suddenly realized he hadn’t asked Yu Xiaozhe what he wanted to eat.

He had previously promised Yu Xiaozhe and Yu Yue to treat them to a meal but hadn’t done it yet. He’d be busier starting tomorrow, so why not seize this chance?

"By the way, Brother Ze, what would you like to eat? Is hot pot okay?"

There was a momentary silence on the other end, then it returned to normal, "Sure, you decide, I’m fine with anything."

Ruan Xingwen didn’t notice, "That’s great. Okay, it’s settled then, I’ll check out the house and send you the address later."

"Okay."

Satisfied with the conversation, Ruan Xingwen, visibly happy, walked back to the others.

"Let’s go, let’s take a look inside the house."

Andy: "..."

Damn, that Yu person is really something, they just captured Ah Wen’s heart with one phone call! What else can I say?! Let’s just go take a look together, I can only help by keeping an eye out for Ah Wen.

The exterior of the entire villa had a European architectural style, but the interior was completely different.

Immediately upon entering, the group was faced with a screen painted with ink art.

Ruan Xingwen didn’t know much about art, but from the texture and material of the screen, he could tell it was extraordinary.

Past the screen, there was a large tree that took three people to wrap their arms around, winding upwards until it reached the terrace on the second floor.

"Wow, this tree is huge, it must be decades old, right?"

Little Yuan looked at the big tree in awe; it was her first time seeing such decor up close.

Su Liguo nodded, smiling, "According to our information, this tree is about eighty-six years old. The original plan was to transplant it, but the authorities indicated that the tree was too old to be moved. So after consulting with our boss, a new design plan was created."

He emphasized once again, "The entire villa’s design was personally involved by our boss!"

But the other three weren’t paying attention at all to what he was saying; they continued circling around the tree.

Ruan Xingwen commented, "I like it!"

Well, as long as the boss’s wife likes it, that’s all that matters!

Ruan Xingwen had no idea that, in Su Liguo’s eyes, he had already become the boss’s wife. He didn’t even know yet who their boss was.

"Shall we go further inside?"

Ruan Xingwen nodded and followed Su Liguo’s lead.

Meanwhile, Little Yuan was still wandering around the tree, quietly asking, "Anan, the tree is fine in winter, but in summer, wouldn’t it attract insects!?"

"You can rest assured, we have professionals to handle these matters, and the situation you’re worried about won’t occur."

Su Liguo’s voice appeared like a ghost by Little Yuan’s ear, startling her.

Little Yuan patted her chest repeatedly, trying to calm her racing heart.

Su Liguo seemed to have reappeared out of nowhere, intending to lead them to the living room, but he heard Little Yuan’s question.

So he eagerly explained but was met with two rolling eyes from Little Yuan.

Ugh, how unfair.

"Could the two of you move along, Mr. Ruan is in the living room."

Composing his emotions, Su Liguo once again spoke with a smile.

Behind the large tree was a long corridor.

The walls of the corridor were lined with paintings and some decorative items.

These were things Ruan Xingwen didn’t understand, he had no idea that the paintings, which he couldn’t comprehend, were worth millions.

If he knew, every time he walked through this corridor, he’d probably be worrying.

What if such expensive items were stolen from the house?

But he didn’t know any of that now, so while passing through the corridor, he didn’t take much notice and went straight to the end.

The living room was in the Chinese-style that Ruan Xingwen loved the most. Long benches made of huanghuali wood, a coffee table of red nanmu wood, and a purple clay teapot with tea sets placed on the coffee table, all exuding an ancient charm that won his heart.

It’s just that the cloud-patterned wool carpet seemed slightly out of place.

Su Liguo, turning into a real estate salesperson, immediately noticed Ruan Xingwen’s opinion on the carpet and promptly explained,

"Mr. Ruan, is there anything that you’re not satisfied with?"

"This carpet... is a bit mismatched, can it be relocated to the bedroom?"

It’s just not matching the style of the living room. Ruan Xingwen personally really liked the fuzzy carpet; however, the old house was small, with no space for one once the coffee table was in.

"The thing is, Mr. Ruan, your bedroom also comes with a carpet, and if you don’t need this one in the living room, I can store it in the storage room for you."

Su Liguo was saying this as he bent down to roll up the carpet.

Ruan Xingwen quickly stopped him, "Forget it, I do like the carpet, so leave it here."

"Mr. Ruan, it’s your house to live in, you shouldn’t worry about others’ opinions. As long as you’re comfortable, that’s what matters, right?"

Su Liguo said, standing up straight.

Given it some thought, it was true. Since the house is for him to live in, his happiness is what counts.

Having figured it out, Ruan Xingwen stopped dwelling on it. He bent down and touched the carpet.

The texture was superb; he could hardly wait to sit on it later, imagining how comfortable it would be.

Reluctantly withdrawing his hand, the group moved on.

Up ahead was the dining room and kitchen, along with a transparent floor-to-ceiling window, and to the far right was a door leading directly into the garden.

In front of the floor-to-ceiling window stood a wicker table and chairs, along with a double wicker chair. It’s a great spot for sunbathing on a good day.
