During the first three days back home, Saiki Kusuo didn't get to see Alluka at all—he was locked in his room catching up on schoolwork.

On the fourth day, they gave him his first real assignment. The Zoldycks set up a room full of high-tech gear and told him to pick whatever he wanted to create.

The first thing Saiki Kusuo made was a mechanical arm to help control his powers—though it was complicated to build, at least he wouldn't destroy any more keyboards with too much strength.

Normally he wouldn't bother making something like that—he could just use his powers—but now he had to use his brains to earn the Zoldycks' approval, so he had no choice.

But what should he start with? To get ideas, Saiki Kusuo went to find Alluka.

Alluka, clearly ignored for too long, was thrilled to see him.

"Big brother! Big brother!"

Saiki Kusuo flexed the mechanical hand and gently rubbed Alluka's head. A real psychic hand might have squashed her like a balloon, but the cold metal arm could touch her without hurting her.

"Big brother, hug!" Alluka asked without hesitation.

Don't just start with demands, geez.

Saiki Kusuo sighed. He knew Alluka and Nanika just wanted to use their power to help family—but why did she always ask him for favors? It must be because she wouldn't ask the rest of the family so casually.

And Nanika seemed to know that Saiki Kusuo could grant wishes.

Saiki Kusuo sent his thoughts to Alluka: [Alluka, Nanika—I'm really powerful and don't have any wishes of my own. I'll grant your wish, but not right now.]

From watching her, Saiki Kusuo noticed Alluka's ability hadn't improved with age. Probably because she hadn't been practicing.

So even Alluka needed training. Saiki Kusuo decided: Killua's and Milluki's birthdays were long past, and he still hadn't given them coming-of-age gifts. His first project would be those presents.

"Big brother, where are we going?"

Right, Alluka needed company.

But now everyone was watching her every move—even Saiki Kusuo had to be careful.

[Yare yare, this should work. Alluka, when you can hold this cup steadily and drink from it, you can see me again.] Saiki Kusuo picked up a cup from the cabinet—no idea who left that heavy thing here as a decoration.

"But—how will you know I did it?" Alluka looked puzzled.

[Just call my name. I can hear you. My telepathy range is huge. As long as you're on Kukuroo Mountain, I'll know. And keep it secret.]

Saiki Kusuo handed Alluka the cup. It wasn't just any cup—it weighed four kilos, the kind of weighted furniture common in the Zoldyck home.

Asking a four-year-old to lift four kilos steadily and drink might be too hard.

[Oh, and no using Nanika's power to cheat.]

Although Nanika didn't appear, Saiki Kusuo could see her disappointed face inside Alluka.

Yare yare, thinking about cheating already.

[Big brother wants you to get stronger. Don't let Killua and Milluki leave you behind, got it?]

Alluka, confused, gripped the cup with all her might. She managed to lift it for a single, shaky second.

Disappointed, she thought: It's so hard…

No one in the family objected to Saiki Kusuo's plan—it wasn't out of line. It didn't require a full training regimen, just lifting a four-kilo cup. Nothing world-changing.

Since Alluka couldn't see Killua and Milluki right now, she was restless. Having this goal kept her a bit more settled.

"Rururi, why does Brother Kusuo want me to lift this cup? Why weight training?" Alluka asked her caregiver after Saiki Kusuo left.

"Alluka, Master Kusuo does this to help you grow stronger. It's his way of supporting you," Rururi the butler answered, giving a thumbs-up to the hidden camera once he saw everything was okay before continuing.

This wasn't a strict order, so he could explain.

"Master Kusuo is different from the other young masters. He was always physically weak, but he thought highly of himself. After surviving the trials in Meteor City, he showed everyone how smart he is. He became a genius through his own effort! Alluka, you have to work hard too. If you do, you'll succeed! One day, you might have the same sixteen-ton grip strength as Master Illumi! Master Kusuo must hope for that…"

Saiki Kusuo, who hadn't gone far: Don't just make stuff up. I'm only having her exercise so she doesn't get lazy. What kind of mage on the Dark Continent needs sixteen-ton hands, anyway? Totally weird.

Luckily, his mother realized the butler was talking too much and told him to shut it via her earpiece.

Yare yare. Saiki Kusuo went back to his room and sat down to think.

What would Killua and Milluki like? Clairvoyance… no, that's too cruel. They're probably training right now—best not to watch.

Saiki Kusuo sat cross-legged, looking up at the ceiling. His eyes saw through the walls, staring at the sky above Kukuroo Mountain.

Even though he was indoors, his x-ray vision made it feel like he was floating between the clouds and sky, watching everything like a 3D movie…

Saiki Kusuo suddenly snapped out of it and blinked, pulling himself back to reality. Honestly, the Zoldyck family didn't offer much in the way of entertainment—most of it was physical toys, and Killua hadn't gotten into video games yet.

Make a game? No way. Programming wasn't something you could do just by thinking—it needed real typing, and having to type everything out letter by letter sounded like a huge pain. But a movie? There were already plenty made—maybe he could build a home theater. Let Alluka and the others enjoy movies after their training sessions.

Back in his old world, Saiki Kusuo loved watching movies. With telepathy, he really enjoyed that sense of surprise and not knowing what came next. But since people around him often spoiled the endings, he usually ended up watching movies no one cared about. Still, he never got tired of it. Since coming to this world, he'd mostly been reading books—he almost forgot movies existed here too.

The tech in Hunter x Hunter was a bit behind compared to his old world. People still used flip phones. Watching movies needed special gear, and projectors were still old-school, placed way in the back.

He needed to make a screen. The screen was where the magic of movies came from. TVs here were still bulky and heavy.

Once Saiki Kusuo had a goal, he got to work right away. A kid who wants to learn? The Zoldyck family was all for it—whatever books or materials he needed, they got him. Saiki Kusuo, with his photographic memory, blazed through the research.

Eight days later, he applied to his parents, asked his younger brothers the day before what movies they wanted to watch, and during the two-hour break after their training session, he brought Killua, Milluki, and Alluka to see the home theater he'd built with his own hands.

The default scene was a starry sky—a 3D holographic star field that felt like you were standing in space. This was how it actually felt to him when he'd been out in space before, and now he'd recreated it.

"Wooooah—!"

"Kusuo, where is this? It's so pretty!!"

"How did you even make all this happen, Kusuo?!"

The adults had seen a lot and didn't get too shocked, but for the kids, it was like magic. Saiki Kusuo's status in their eyes soared.
