Eryndor stepped down the stairs of the main building, daggers strapped to his waist.

Majority of his loot had been used in the black market. He would have to go hunting again, not sure if it would be beasts or disciples he would be hunting.

This time as Eryndor used his Cognitive Scrying on disciples, he also checked for ones who resembled members of the Laughing sect.

Hmmm, none for now, that's good.

Since he was getting no new important information, he stopped, and walked towards the forest.

With his enhanced physique, it was easy for him to see in the dark, not to mention it wasn't completely blacked out.

There were three moons in the sky which provided plenty of light.

Eryndor still had no information on the moons and sun in the sky, so he had stopped thinking about them long ago.

Since there was plenty of natural light, it wasn't as if he would go blind without his enhanced eyesight, but it would definitely not be as convenient now.

On the other hand, his eyesight also wasn't enhanced enough to be able to give him vision in complete darkness.

I should look for groups of beasts.

He thought, while going through the locations where groups of different beasts were commonly spotted, or lived.

Of course, all of the information was from the memories of various disciples.

The problem with this approach was that groups of beasts usually lived deeper into the forest.

The forest had a rather simple distinction for the habitat of various beasts.

The stronger ones lived deeper into the forest, while the weaker ones on the more shallow layers.

If one lived in groups, they had the right to move deeper into the forest. Of course, only until their collective strength could keep up with the average of single beasts in that layer.

Beasts instinctively yearned to go deeper because the resources found in the deeper parts were both higher in quantity and quality.

One could also sense the density of Qi getting higher if one walked deeper into the forest, which was better for practicing cultivation.

Someone had once guessed that the reason the Qi concentration was higher in the deeper parts of the forest was because of a massive Qi crystal mine.

However, cultivators couldn't just go and start mining because the beasts in the deeper parts of the forest were similarly terrifying.

Adding to this, the majority of the beasts were more active during the night, which meant it would be more troublesome for Eryndor to head deeper.

Chuck it, what's a little trouble?

Convincing himself, Eryndor tightly gripped his unsheathed daggers and continued walking in.

At some point he did his usual practice of replacing his surveillance art with his Spatial Sight.

Since he was going to be heading deeper into the jungle, he couldn't afford to waste his Qi and Energy of Consciousness in fights with other beasts, therefore he actively avoided any beasts he sensed.

He also sensed disciples fighting against beasts, twice, but never interfered in the battle.

In the jungle where the Training Camp wouldn't protect you anymore, a disciple entering your fight was the last thing you wanted.

What if they were here to backstab you? Or steal your prey?

Helping was rare, and even suspicious because disciples tend to get even more wary when people help them for nothing.

Eryndor wasn't fond of inviting trouble, so he continued walking deeper.

After about twenty minutes, when he was still in the shallow layer of the jungle, he found a six legged scaled monkey.

Oh? Guess I'm lucky.

These kinds of beasts didn't travel in groups, but would immediately call for reinforcement when they encountered trouble.

Eryndor was quick to activate his Shadowstep, which was essentially almost always at top speed at night.

One must remember, Shadowstep boosted the speed of the user even more when they ran under a shadow.

As soon as the speeding Eryndor entered its range, the beast reacted, baring its claws, preparing itself for a fight.

Eryndor quickly used Cognitive Scrying to grasp where its poisonous claws were and hit those two claws with his two daggers head on, using Air Cleaving Slash.

Clarence used double daggers, therefore he obviously wouldn't choose a weapon cultivation art which could only be applied on one weapon.

Both the Air Cleaving Slash, and the Void Piercer could be used on both daggers at the same time.

The price was an increased consumption of Qi.

The monkey screeched loudly in the silence of the night as its claws were broken.

His daggers weren't unharmed though, a hairline crack appeared on one of the daggers, earning a frown from Eryndor.

Fuck, shouldn't have done that.

He kept the location of that tiny crack in mind and used Void Piercer with the other dagger.

After the fight last time, Eryndor had gobbled up information on various beasts found in the forest.

He learned that the poison of six legged scaled monkeys was located in the claws itself.

They didn't have it stored in their bodies.

Which meant that if one destroyed the poisonous set of claws, the beast would no longer be able to inflict poisonous damage on you through their other claws.

This was the reason Eryndor had gone straight for those two specific claws, while choosing to dodge or withstand the other four claws.

Of course, he had Iron Mountain Guard active, with his Sovereign's Cloak below it, which allowed him to easily come out unscathed after taking the attacks of those claws.

The only thing he didn't anticipate was his dagger sustaining damage.

It seems it wasn't that impressive among the weapons of level two.

Eryndor put that thought into the back of his mind and continued exchanging blows with the monkey.

He was prolonging the fight purely because he was waiting for the arrival of its group.

Ducking slightly, he dodged as one of the claws swiped at him from above, while he coated his arm with Qi and grabbed onto one of the arm of the monkey, yanking him forward and punching Internal Fist straight at its chest.

As expected, the beast used its numerous arms to block the attack, but ended up injuring at least two of its arms, the bones in them cracking.

A few seconds later, he finally sensed more six legged scaled monkeys heading his way.

However, there was an unexpected factor as well.
