CHAPTER 180: OKAY, FULL REFIT THEN

Is this about ’out with the old, in with the new’?

The arrival of Heng Jin also signified the arrival of the motorhome. Despite Jing Shu’s gloomy mood, the good news had brightened her spirits considerably.

"Alright, our house is right at the doorstep. Grandma, you can walk back home. Brew some ginger tea so you don’t catch a cold. Someone will come to help us lift the car soon; Dad and I will move these things back home first."

Jing Shu wiped off the rain mixed with red earthworms, some of which had even coiled around her eyebrows. Today, she had only worn rain boots and a rain hat, not having had time to put on her raincoat. And to think I’d sworn I wouldn’t let red earthworms get near me again! That resolution lasted only a few days.

Still the same familiar taste, the same familiar recipe, huh? Jing Shu spat, ejecting the red earthworms that had slithered into her mouth.

"Oh, what terrible luck! Cursèd heavens!" Grandma Jing checked for the fat chicken; it was still there. However, some of the food left out in the rain was definitely inedible now.

The temperature was quite low in the morning. Jing Shu, drenched in the rain, was already shivering from the cold, to say nothing of the elderly couple. She quickly asked Mrs. Jing to take them back to clean up.

Jing Shu and Mr. Jing carried the suitcases back one by one and began to clean up the scene. Mr. Jing, seeing the huge crater left by the explosion, was still in shock. "This is too outrageous! Whom exactly did we offend?"

"Maybe someone coveted our stuff."

Mr. Jing then fell into deep thought.

By the time Jing Shu had nearly finished cleaning up, aside from the large crater and scattered debris, the rain had washed away most other traces.

Even so, when Heng Jin arrived at the scene driving the motorhome that resembled a truck, he was still shocked by the sight.

Heng Jin wasn’t the only one shocked. Mr. Jing stood with his mouth agape, and, well, Jing Shu was gritting her teeth.

In the darkness, Jing Shu watched the tyrant-like, king-sized super truck approach. She couldn’t describe her elation; the thought of spending the cold winter migration in a warm motorhome made life feel wonderfully complete.

However, the motorhome’s entire front end, bumper included, was missing. Not only was it severely caved in, but the vehicle was also driving askew.

Like a giant crab scuttling sideways, and at a wicked speed too!

Oh well, I was planning to remodel the front anyway, Jing Shu thought, trying to console herself.

One of the headlights was broken, and the front windshield had countless cracks. It was a mystery how the driver had managed to get it back.

Oh well, the broken windshield is a perfect excuse to replace it with bulletproof glass.

One look and it was obvious: that bastard Yang Yang hadn’t treated it like his baby, but more like a bumper car!

As it drew nearer, Jing Shu could see scratches all over the motorhome. I can tolerate that! I can!

But—where had the passenger door gone? And why was there a person-sized hole where the passenger side should be? Was it hit by a missile?

The driver’s and passenger’s seats of the Conqueror motorhome were like those of a regular truck, not connected to the rear living quarters.

I was even planning to connect the cabin to the back, making the driver and passenger area part of the main RV. Well, look at that! Someone’s gone and done me a favor by blasting it open with a missile!

Jing Shu’s heart was bleeding.

For such a durable motorhome to end up like this... I really don’t know what outrageous things Yang Yang did to provoke such a chase. I can just imagine the massive RV crashing and ramming its way through... Must have been thrilling, huh?

"Alright, let’s just remodel the whole thing! As long as the main components are intact, it’s fine!" Jing Shu sighed. I knew it. When Niu Mou said ’a bit tragic,’ it was bound to be very tragic, but I didn’t expect it to be *this* bad!

The massive Conqueror motorhome stopped beside Jing Shu, and she truly felt its enormity. It’s huge! The tires alone come up to my chest; I have to crane my neck just to see the driver’s seat!

Heng Jin and two others jumped down. Glancing at the giant pit and the overturned vehicle, they knew it had been bombed. "Looks like you’re a natural magnet for trouble, attracting this much hatred," Heng Jin commented. "Alright, guys, let’s go flip that car over."

With Jing Shu and Mr. Jing, the five of them combined their strength to right the overturned vehicle, then pushed it into their garage.

If we’re going to have accidents, might as well have them at our doorstep. So convenient, just a few steps away!

Their car’s chassis had been damaged in the explosion, and Mr. Jing didn’t dare drive it anymore; it needed a thorough inspection.

Finally, Heng Jin helped drive the motorhome into the newly built large garage, a look of envy, jealousy, and resentment in his eyes. Look at the life they’re living! They even have a garage for a motorhome now. And here I am, a young master from before the apocalypse, reduced to being someone’s driver.

"Now your house has increased in value, and the motorhome will be even more valuable," Heng Jin said. "Half of Wu City is submerged, and housing is desperately scarce. Even a villa is split among government officials."

In the current world, being able to eat rice and vegetables, live in a spacious house, and own a car—like Jingshu’s family—was the mark of true upper-class status.

Heng Jin still had goods elsewhere. After arranging a time to transfer the remaining Virtual Coins, he hurried off.

And from that moment on, the Conqueror motorhome officially belonged to Jing Shu! She planned to remodel this behemoth into the mobile home she envisioned—her second home.

"Sweetie, this isn’t quite what you described, is it?" Mr. Jing asked. "You said you were getting a motorhome, but you brought back this huge truck! How much fuel is this thing going to burn?" He could almost see countless Virtual Coins draining away.

Ultimately, curiosity got the better of them, and they went inside the motorhome for a tour. Despite its journey overseas and battered exterior, the interior was still remarkably luxurious and clearly of high quality.

Overall, Jing Shu was quite satisfied, though she still planned to remodel it when she had time. The current awkward issue, however, was that only the rear of the motorhome was equipped with a large bed and a 32-inch LCD TV, which would certainly be comfortable.

Apart from that, there were no other beds. The dining area, kitchen, and two sets of leather sofas seemed somewhat excessive, especially with another circular sofa on the second floor’s lifting platform.

Jing Shu planned to bring her entire family during the relocation, so there naturally wouldn’t be enough sleeping space.

Fortunately, she had acquired a batch of excellent quality light steel from Zhou Daheng. She planned to use it to build an enclosed, liftable second story on the lifting terrace, specifically for sleeping quarters, to solve the accommodation issue.

Of course, the exact remodeling of the second floor, where to place the Domestic Poultry, and ensuring the motorhome’s overall security were all matters pending further Business.

It seems it’s time to meet Wu You’ai’s mentor.

Jing Shu thought happily to herself.
