I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO
Chapter 78: Bumping Into... Love
CHAPTER 78: CHAPTER 78: BUMPING INTO... LOVE
Uh!
These two, showing affection in broad daylight in the CEO Office?!
Vera Wave was taken aback, then quickly waved her hands.
"You guys carry on, carry on. I... I saw nothing! I just came to drop off the fax paper here. I... I’ll leave now."
She placed the fax paper on the desk and made a quick exit.
In actual fact, this suit was custom-made and had just been delivered. Tommy Taylor was merely helping Kris Cooper try it on. They didn’t expect Vera to walk in at that moment.
Tommy Taylor took the suit Kris Cooper handed him. "Mr. CEO, it seems Miss Vera has misunderstood."
Kris Cooper unbuttoned the second button of his shirt and huffed, "Summon that brat to me immediately!"
What on earth! She claimed to have seen nothing? He absolutely had to make it clear to her that he was straight, extremely straight!
Tommy Taylor didn’t dare delay and immediately walked over to dial the number for the operations department.
Vera hadn’t made it back to her department yet. Yola Dowry was the one who answered the call.
"Operations department."
"Please ask Miss Vera to come to the CEO Office immediately."
"Alright."
Yola Dowry hung up the phone. With a terrified look, she stared at Vera, who had just walked in.
"Vera, the CEO Office just called. They’re asking you to go up there immediately."
A call from the CEO Office to the operations department, specifically requesting someone to come up, was unheard of. Naturally, Yola was worried.
Upon hearing this, Vera swallowed.
Could it be because I interrupted their... affair? Is Assistant Taylor going to give me trouble?
"Did he say what it was about?"
Yola shook her head. Vera had no choice but to steel her nerves. She walked out again and slowly made her way back upstairs. As she hesitantly approached the CEO Office door, she ran into Tommy Taylor, who was just coming out.
"Assistant... Assistant Taylor!" she stammered, offering a placating smile. "You... you were looking for me?"
"Not me. Go on in!"
Tommy Taylor pushed the door open for her.
Vera tiptoed into the CEO Office and saw Kris Cooper sitting lazily behind his desk.
She looked around but didn’t see anyone else, so she walked up to the desk.
"Manager Kris... you called for me?"
Facing Kris Cooper, she felt surprisingly relaxed.
Kris Cooper looked up, his expression serious as he met her gaze. "I need to tell you something. I am not gay."
Vera was taken aback, then a sweet smile spread across her face.
"Don’t worry, I don’t discriminate against you. Love is free, right? Love transcends boundaries, race, and gender!"
Does he care whether I discriminate or not?
The man stood up abruptly. "Listen to me carefully. I said I am not gay."
"Alright, alright, no need to shout." Vera blinked at him. "Don’t worry, we’re friends, right? I’ll keep your secret!"
That damn girl!
Kris Cooper gritted his teeth. He walked around the desk, pulled her towards him, and pressed her against the edge of it. He then grabbed her hand and forced it against his own body.
Vera’s face instantly flushed red.
"You... let me go!"
She struggled to pull her hand back but couldn’t. Then, she felt something in her palm growing larger and harder, and she froze, not daring to move.
"Feel that?" Kris Cooper gritted his teeth, glaring at her. "I’m attracted to women. Do you understand now?"
"Yes, yes, I understand."
Vera had a troubled expression. Even if he wanted to prove he wasn’t gay, did he really need to go this far?
"Am I gay?"
"No, no, definitely not!"
"Then what am I?"
"You... you’re bisexual."
...
...
MWAH!
