I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO
Chapter 96: The Director
CHAPTER 96: CHAPTER 96: THE DIRECTOR
Akriel Hospital.
Director’s Office.
Kris Cooper unceremoniously pushed the door open. Behind the desk, a man in a light gray suit was taking a pen and signing his name on a document.
Sunlight streamed in through the floor-to-ceiling window behind him, casting a gentle golden glow over the man’s black hair and suit. His broad forehead beneath short hair exuded wisdom, while his strikingly handsome features maintained an air of elegance, underscored by a detached composure beyond worldly concerns.
The expressive handwriting of "Andre Colin" was etched with depth into the paper without losing grace.
This man was none other than Andre Colin, the distinguished director of Akriel Hospital’s Imperial City branch, the largest private hospital in Vanora.
Seeing Kris Cooper walk in, Andre Colin set the document on the desk, lifted his face, and interlaced his long fingers in mid-air.
"Mr. Cooper, it seems you forgot to knock!"
"No time!" Kris Cooper sat unceremoniously in the chair opposite, reached out and tossed a stack of documents onto his desk, "You’re a psychological expert, take a look for me."
Andre Colin reached over and picked up the documents on the table.
Seeing the name on top, the usually composed man couldn’t help but raise his eyebrows slightly.
"Vera Wave? You found her?!"
Andre Colin, who also studied in the U.S., became friends with Kris Cooper due to mutual acquaintances, and was well aware of Vera Wave’s situation.
Back then, Kris Cooper nearly went mad over Vera Wave, and as a good friend, Andre Colin knew just how important this girl was to him.
Andre Colin looked up, glancing across the desk at Kris Cooper’s expression.
"What happened?"
Logically, he should be ecstatic about the recovery of a lost love, yet the man before him was clearly clouded with worry.
"She... has amnesia!"
"No wonder." Andre Colin nodded slightly, "I was wondering about your expression."
"Hey!" Kris Cooper raised an eyebrow, displeased, "What kind of tone is that?"
"You’ve already found her, what’s there to worry about..." Andre Colin picked up the documents on the table and began reading them carefully. After a page, he suddenly raised an eyebrow. "It’s not like... she got married and had kids with someone else, right?"
"Of course not!"
"Then there’s nothing to worry about."
"But she doesn’t remember me at all..." Kris Cooper took a deep breath, "Could you take a look, see if there’s anything that can be done."
"I’m checking." Andre Colin’s gaze swept across the materials in his hand, "Depression... How did she develop depression?"
"I haven’t figured that out yet. However, I looked at her transcripts, and as you know, when she was in the U.S., her grades were among the best in the school, but her transcripts after the amnesia are much poorer..."
"That’s normal." Andre Colin tapped the documents lightly with his long fingers, "The medications she’s taking, while effective against depression, can harm the brain... All medications are a double-edged sword. Is she still on medication?"
Kris Cooper shook his head.
"I don’t know."
"If you want her to recover her memory, I can currently give you two pieces of advice." Andre Colin held up his fingers, "First, stop these brain-damaging medications, and second, find a way to help her regain her memory."
"How?"
"Actually, theoretically speaking, everyone has amnesia to some extent, it’s like expecting you to recall every detail of your life from childhood until now, you couldn’t possibly do it.
