CHAPTER 1773: CHAPTER 1767: A CITY COMPOSED OF LIVING CREATURES

Tang Ye shouted, but the other party didn’t respond at all, perhaps couldn’t hear him. After the newly made raft sank, Tang Ye wasn’t discouraged. He quickly started building up with the remaining wood again. This time it wasn’t just a simple raft. He began from the keel, building bit by bit, very meticulously, as if isolating himself from the outside world. In this rabbit, Tang Ye seemed to see Dairya when she was reading a book.

Just as he was about to walk toward it, Yu Guang’s peripheral vision spotted a figure emerging from the giant forest in the distance. Tang Ye immediately shifted his attention, entering a battle stance. The cracks from the arms to the sides of the back shoulders had already vanished, and the skin that had cracked and peeled on his chest was mostly restored.

He glanced at his opponent, slowly raised one hand, the blood and flesh on his arm subtly trembled, then began to wriggle slowly. Tang Ye didn’t want this either, but not knowing what he suddenly thought of, he glanced again in the direction of the rabbit, immediately abandoning the idea of engaging in battle, turned around, and flew towards the rabbit. The spider woman, upon noticing Tang Ye’s decision to "run away," was momentarily stunned, and then hastened her speed to follow. Shortly afterward, the rabbit’s figure appeared in her vision, and in this instant, her face changed color!

The surrounding air became violent; she opened her mouth, and a sound wave struck directly toward Tang Ye!

"Only realizing now? It’s too late! Ha ha!" With a smug smile on his face, Tang Ye noted that even in the illusion, the opponent couldn’t achieve divine omnipotence in the true sense and had to abide by many physical laws.

After laughing, Tang Ye accelerated again, flying instantly to the puppet rabbit. The terrifying sound wave closely followed!

The rabbit paid no attention to what was happening around it, its gaze was suddenly elevated significantly, and the scene in front of it suddenly changed, seeing the space distorted by the sound wave. It wasn’t flustered but merely turned back to glance at Tang Ye. Yet this glance carried an extremely complex expression. Tang Ye met its gaze for a moment and was also stunned. But the next second, the rabbit he lifted exploded into black ash scattering all over the ground, submerging half of his body.

Tang Ye was dumbfounded, he hadn’t even exerted force!

It self-destructed!

The opponent’s gaze just now stirred a sense of guilt within him, but now that the event had transpired, he couldn’t undo it. He could only silently say to the black ashes in his hand: "Sorry..."

But immediately after, everything before his eyes darkened.

Elsewhere, Lu Xiaojie was pacing back and forth in front of the giant painting, muttering endlessly: "Hurry! Hurry! ... Couldn’t have gone wrong, right?"

As the anxiety within grew increasingly heavy, she noticed a change within the painting, her previous worried expression vanished, replaced by a face full of joy!

"Finally got it sorted!"

She saw slit after slit appearing on the giant painting before her, with a massive amount of black liquid flowing from within, eventually dyeing the entire painting black!

Breathing a sigh of relief, she touched the liquid flowing from the painting, but as soon as her finger made contact, a piercing pain shot through, causing her fingers to quickly fold. This made Lu Xiaojie draw a sharp breath, hurriedly withdrawing her finger, and looking around, she saw the entire space beginning to spin, transforming into a giant vortex that started folding and shrinking!

No time to concern herself with the intense pain in her fingers, Lu Xiaojie knew that she couldn’t stay here any longer. She hastily tidied her hair before jumping out of the window behind her!

She didn’t hear the sound of landing; soon, her figure appeared on an empty street, clutching several lively ravens. Not far away, there was a billboard with a giant painting. The painting depicted a white tiger entangled in vines and covered with small flowers, situated in a staircase of some household, seeming both real and like it was meticulously painted.

As before, she climbed up to the giant painting on the billboard, raising the ravens she grabbed from who knows where over her head. With force, she snapped their necks, and thick blood flowed from them, dripping over her, covering the still yet to be completely solidified raven blood.

Bang!

After completing these actions, she lowered her head, as before, fiercely colliding into the giant painting. Around her, a not very tangible vibration sensation spread, feeling like an illusion, while over there with Tang Ye, the darkened vision was swiftly pierced by a beam of light. He could sense his body; upon opening his eyes, found himself back at high altitude, and with him was the spider woman; she had also followed him into the sky.

This time, Tang Ye, with experience, chose not to entangle with his opponent, looking below for his target.

But while he had this thought, the spider woman certainly wouldn’t agree. She immediately looked in a certain direction with a face full of anger. In one swift moment, she desperately wanted to capture the culprit responsible for all this. However, on reconsideration, perhaps sensing more trouble would be caused by engaging Tang Ye, she abandoned this choice, turned easily in mid-air as though on solid ground, raised one hand, and from somewhere, purple spores instantly locked onto Tang Ye’s neck. He felt the blood and flesh of his neck tighten under immense pressure, forcing Tang Ye’s entire being downward!

He had no choice but to respond, extending his legs and splitting them into several tendrils to coil and counter-grab the purple spores on his neck, then exert force. However, upon realizing the spores couldn’t be opened, Tang Ye decisively opted for another strategy; the tendrils’ tips sharpened, using all his strength, he finally stabbed into the spores, then under his control, the tendrils exploded, releasing black fog that began corroding the spores bit by bit. Briefly freed, Tang Ye controlled his body shape transformation, changing into a spike-like a meteor speeding towards the ground!

Slash!

The spider woman wanted to pursue, but everything happened too quickly, and Tang Ye’s speed couldn’t be underestimated. In the end, she couldn’t halt him before he landed; transformed into a spike, he collided with the ground, sparking a massive burst of fire. Below, the town seemed as if cleaved by a long knife, leaving a straight chasm!

Emerging from the ground, Tang Ye looked at everything before him, initially thinking it was a post-apocalyptic wasteland city long unattended, but quickly realized the city was inhabited, sensing the incredibly intense blood energy belonging to living creatures around, to an astonishing degree!

Yet he didn’t instantly spot any creature’s figure, but inexplicably, the blood energy was omnipresent!

"Eh?"

In a dazed moment, Tang Ye also understood, indeed the city had living beings, but not the hurried pedestrians he assumed, nor the wandering cats and dogs; the lifeforms here were stationary!

They accounted for every blade of grass and tree, served as the infrastructure of the transport roads, and even the buildings!

In short, this was a city entirely composed of living beings!
