I Can Capture Attacks
Chapter 76: Notifications
CHAPTER 76: CHAPTER 76: NOTIFICATIONS
All the demons and demon beasts stood on the mountains they called home and it was a variety of them. Some of these demons were birthed by these limbs while others took refuge here. At the forefront of these warriors were the Ice Demons with now slightly different appearance, snowflake shaped heads and ice covered bodies.
As the maggots swam closer and closer, the demons had already prepared a strategy to deal with but were just waiting for the perfect moment to strike. The Ice Demons launched a joint attack at the maggots.
[Ultimate Skill: Frozen World!]
A massive snowflake formed in the sky above the approaching maggots then fell down like a meteor and the ground turned into ice. The unfortunate part was that the maggots had swam deeper into the ground before the attack and no longer surfaced.
All the demons waited patiently, keeping a close look on where the maggots would appear from but they never resurfaced, not even a single maggot was on sight which the demons found extremely strange.
BOOOOOOM!!!
Suddenly, the entire mountain of limbs shook and disappeared from the face of the earth, completely buried in the circular fissure. The demons that could fly were looking at the massive hole with shock and confusion.
"It’s those damn maggots! They completely devoured the soil under the Limbs Mountain, making it collapse! Quick! Unleash your strongest attacks!" shouted an Ice Demon.
"But there isn’t a maggot on sight, the maggots are attacking us from the base of the mountain, we have to be below the Limbs Mountain if we want to fight! Wait... what are those flickering blue dots?"
AARGHHH!!!
AARGHHH!!!
AARGHHH!!!
Sounds of screams were heard by the flying demons just after the blue dots appeared.
"It’s the maggots! The maggots are attacking! Let’s go!!!"
...
Inside the hole, it was completely chaotic. The invading maggots were attacking anything and everything that wasn’t their own which included the lands they were fighting on and the demons living on these lands. The demons were using everything available to kill these maggots but it proved to be very difficult.
Not only were the maggots too big but also, many weapons were ineffective against them because of their rubbery, thick and sleek skin. Arrows bounced back from it, spears curved and snapped and swords just left shallow wounds on the maggots that quickly healed. It took about ten demons, silk ropes and great skill to take a single maggot down.
The only other option the demons had was jumping inside the maggot mouths and detonating themselves which was much more effective because just two destinations were needed and the maggot would die. Zixin and his group watched the battle unfold inside a dark and inconspicuous corner of the battlefield. There were so many demons that it looked the same as when ants ganged up on a single critter, determined to take it down.
Zixin didn’t say anything and neither did his subordinates say anything, they just watched the war as though it was a movie. What everyone failed to notice was the excitement bubbling within Zixin while watching his maggots being attacked, this was because Zixin was seeing something completely different.

Zixin was getting countless System Notifications with every passing second and these notifications weren’t of him getting attacked but rather his maggots. He didn’t know why or how it happened but it was definitely a pleasant surprise. This meant that he could now collect numerous attacks without him having to be personally involved.
’I have about nine hundred billion Crimson Flesh Devourer Maggots and a hundred billion Bone Devourer Maggots. With only the Crimson Flesh Devourer Maggots, I’ve captured so many attacks! And each of these attacks can easily decimate a Small World to multiple galaxies and with the inclusion of the Ice Demons, I can even destroy millions of galaxies. Hahaha, System Users are truly the best prey ever!’ thought Zixin with fervent eyes.
The main focus of the Crimson Flesh Devourer Maggots was to devour the flesh of these mountains until only the bones were left, after that, it would be time for the Bone Devourer Maggots to enter the fray and these light year sized limbs were no match for these maggots.
The Ice Demons tried to freeze the maggots but ultimately failed, the flickering blue flames wouldn’t allow the maggots to go into hibernation as that would foil Zixin’s plans. Seeing that freezing the maggots didn’t work, the Ice Demons went for the kill.
’Retreat! Let the Bone Devourer Maggots take over your positions!’ ordered Zixin telepathically. He had a special connection with the maggots and could communicate with them through telepathy.
As soon as the order was given, the red maggots didn’t waste even a second and ran away. The demons celebrated with loud roars because they thought they’d won the war.
Tremble*
’What’s going on?’ they asked themselves and the answer they received was that of a ten kilometres long maggot, boasting great vitality and defensive capabilities. These maggots and the red maggots had the same cultivation realm which was the Supreme Realm but could withstand attacks from monsters above their level. This was why killing them was so difficult.
The Bone Devourer Maggots were even more difficult to kill since their skin was a mixture of bone and exoskeleton, the skin looked soft but it was very hard. As the war continued, there were beings who were watching this war with great interests and were currently watching all this unfold together.
"Roto, what do you think? Could your Zombie Plague be able to infect those worms?" asked a wizard looking old man wearing a cloaked robe with evil eye embroidery. The person he asked was actually a furless rat with a protruding spinal cord and reeked of rot. This rat was two meters tall and wore torn and tattered robes.
"Dricus, with your age and profession, you should already know the answer to your question. After the Limbs Mountain is taken care of, the Incomplete Corpse Mountain is next, are you ready to lose your home?" asked Roto.
"Hmph! Plessis, of the three of us, you are the strongest, tell me, what are your chances of protecting what’s yours from this Lord?"
"Those are Bone Devourer Maggots, even a Bone Fey King might end up on their stomachs."
