I Can Program My Body?
Chapter 179: To the Nova Capital
CHAPTER 179: TO THE NOVA CAPITAL
Soon, just as they were chattering, the initiator of the Assembly, the one in charge of the Seeded Talent program, arrived.
"Is everyone here?" A cold voice echoed through the room.
"Everyone is here, Grand General Zeke," Natasha reported, counting everyone around.
"Good, gather together," Zeke ordered, seemingly oblivious to the wrecked room.
With talents from all across the Nova Sector in one place, a few fights were insignificant.
Sensing the commanding aura in Zeke’s voice, they all stood in attention, forming a neat line.
"I’ve gathered you here to discuss the upcoming Cosmic Competition."
"First, do you know what takes place in the Cosmic Competition?"
Seeing some shake their heads, Zeke briefly explained what would take place in the domain-level Cosmic Competition.
In about three years, they would be sent to an unregulated region of the Dark Plane with their real bodies.
That’s right, real bodies. Unlike before, when their souls were materialized, their physical forms would now be transported directly to the Dark Plane.
This meant no breaks, no communication with the real world, and no normal activities.
For the next three years, they had to survive using every method in their arsenal.
Whether it was using treasures, teaming up, hiding, or fighting, anything was fair in the game.
However, to avoid senseless death, each would receive a Chronos Token, which they could use to escape and withdraw from the competition.
Activating it would instantly eliminate them from the trial.
Hearing this, those who hadn’t known better wore grim expressions.
Three years of desolation, three years of survival, three years of solitude...
Did they truly have what it took to endure such a dangerous place for three years?
"It’s not too late to quit now. If you know you can’t handle it, don’t force yourself," Zeke said coldly.
Not wanting to waste resources on cowards, Zeke began to exude pressure, hoping to weed out the weak-minded.
Fortunately, after a few tense minutes, everyone held firm, undeterred by the pressure.
"Good! It seems this year’s Seeded Talent is the most courageous batch yet!"
In the past, some got in because of their weapon advantages.
Lacking true grit, they quit right away under his pressure.
Seeing no one back down, Zeke began explaining their duties as members of the Seeded Talent program.
From advanced survival drills, combat, dark beast identification, danger simulations, cooperation training, sparring, and more.
There’s also saturation, fortification, and condensation training to help them advance to Void Commander and Void General as quickly as possible.
"That’s all. In three months, all of you must arrive at the Nova Capital. Training and activities will begin upon your arrival."
"Do we need to go to the Nova Capital? Can’t we just train in the Virtual World or the Dark Plane?" one of the talents asked.
Travelling to another location was too troublesome. With the Virtual World and the Dark Plane available, why bother travelling so far?
"The Virtual World can’t simulate everything! It’s merely a convenient tool for communication in our universe. Do you know its biggest flaw?"
"No..." The talent shook his head.
The Virtual World seemed capable of simulating everything. Besides not being real, what could its shortcomings be?
"The number one flaw of the Virtual World is that it can’t simulate laws! Like a camera, it captures only a still picture, not the ever-flowing laws of the world."
"Although only Tier 6 individuals can master different laws, all of you can still use them to your advantage. Thus, to train properly, you must go to the Nova Capital."
"But what about the Dark Plane? If we can’t master laws in the Virtual World, it should be possible in the Dark Plane, right?"
As a mirror of the universe, the laws it circulates are the same.
If they can’t train in the Virtual World, then the Dark Plane should suffice.
"You have a lot of questions, brat," Zeke sighed. "You can indeed study laws in the Dark Plane, but do you think with your meager strength you can do it alone?"
"Even we, as War Gods, need technology as assistance. How can you, a mere Void Warrior, do any better?"
The Dark Plane’s greatest limitation was technology. If they wanted to speed up their training, how could they rely on the Dark Plane?
"Uh, thank you for enlightening me, Grand General..." Bowing to acknowledge his ignorance, the talent fell silent.
It seemed the Nova government had already thoroughly arranged their itinerary.
Meanwhile, overhearing their exchange, Nash also grew quiet.
It appeared he had no choice but to leave Earth.
Based on Zeke’s words, laws couldn’t be comprehended in the Virtual World, and technology was unavailable in the Dark Plane.
No wonder he hadn’t found information about runic language in the Nova library.
He thought it was higher-tier knowledge, but it seemed the Virtual World couldn’t materialize the language of laws.
Although he could see runic language carved into treasures, it was merely a static image, devoid of any value.
Runic language should be like the runic programs, commands, and patterns in his body, with each reacting to every fluctuation of time and space.
What intrigued Nash even more was that the Nova Sector had technology to accelerate saturation, fortification, and condensation beyond using merits!
Perhaps there was also something that could accelerate the cultivation of his soul.
Soon, Zeke explained that someone would pick them up, along with supplies to be delivered to their planet.
This meant that after the supplies were distributed, they would head to the Nova Capital.
"It seems Julius will really have to handle everything..." Nash sighed.
Not only his training in the Nova Capital, but also the domain-level Cosmic Competition, which would keep him away for three years.
And what about the galactic-level competition? Surely that couldn’t be done from home either.
All in all, he would likely be away from Earth for about ten years.
Planning various matters in his head, Nash paused as Zeke began to end his speech.
"Finally, if I may suggest, it’s better to form teams now than later. Build your understanding, trust, and cooperation. This could be your lifeline in the coming competition," Zeke advised as he left the group.
