I Can Program My Body?
Chapter 207: Nova Capital Market
CHAPTER 207: NOVA CAPITAL MARKET
After ’cooking’ and ’eating’ with Camilla, half a day unknowingly passed by.
Unfortunately, the two still needed to do something; otherwise, they might have indulged for an entire day.
Tidying themselves up, they walked toward the control room.
"Where do you want to go?"
"I want to buy a pet. Let’s go to the Nova Capital Market."
"Nova Capital Market? Why didn’t you say so earlier!" Camilla muttered with a spark of excitement.
The Nova Capital Market was the largest physical commerce area in the Nova Sector.
Though incomparable to the vast quantity of the Virtual World, it offered unmatched quality and atmosphere.
Realizing they only had half a day to shop, Camilla urged Nash to hurry.
"Alright, hold on tight..."
---
Flying past the Auralis Planets, they headed toward the heart of the Nova Capital.
Along the way, security scans continuously swept over their ship, monitoring to prevent any incidents.
"The security here is so strict..."
Compared to Auralis Planets, where they had free rein, heading to the center made Nash feel like a prisoner in a cell.
"Don’t complain. We’re going to the main living area of the Nova Sector. Even a War God has to be careful here." Camilla explained, rolling her eyes.
Housing the most important leaders and scientists of the Nova Sector, everyone, regardless of status, was strictly monitored.
Especially some Scientists, because they are too focused on studying, their strength is even less than the average.
If not for the problem of their lifespan, they might not even waste their time training.
It can be said that such passion and focus were truly what kept them above the rest.
"I know..."
---
Following all the regulations along the way, they finally arrived at the Nova Capital Market.
"It’s huge."
Unlike Earth, the planet hosting the Nova Sector’s central market was at least a hundred times larger.
Parking at a dedicated satellite docking station, Nash and Camilla had to board a public transport ship to enter the planet.
Apparently, all privately owned ships were restricted from directly entering the planet.
Fortunately, the public transport was quite convenient.
After just a short wait, the ship departed back to the planet, carrying them and countless others inside.
---
Stepping off the ship, Nash was greeted by a bustling market, with shops and buildings sprawling in every direction.
Though less grand than the Virtual World, it carried a dignified aura.
Like the difference between a public market and an elite one, the latter excelled in quality despite offering less variety.
"Let’s head to the hatchery. We only have a few hours left." Camilla tugged him along.
Although she wanted to shop around with Nash first, she knew they had more important things to do.
Between flying to and from the planet, they had already lost a few hours.
Returning to the training site would take another few hours, leaving them with less than five hours left to spare to buy the void beast pet that Nash needed.
"I know, let’s go..."
With no time to linger, Nash followed Camilla as they hopped onto another public transport to head to the biggest hatchery in the Nova Sector.
---
Arriving at the hatchery, Nash and Camilla were greeted by a grand building that perfectly blended nature and technology.
Just seeing the building, one would immediately think it was a hatchery for all void beasts.
"Welcome to the Nova Hatchery. Do you have an appointment?" the receptionist asked warmly.
The Nova Hatchery, overseen by the Nova Government, wasn’t a business but an official institution.
Without permission, not just anyone could enter inside, much less purchase a void beast egg.
"We’re members of the seeded talent," Camilla said, showing her badge.
Typing the ID number from her badge, the receptionist quickly found her record.
"Unfortunately, you’ve already used your quota. To get another void beast egg, you needed to reapply through the Nova Government."
"Huh? No, it’s not for me—it’s my friend here who wants to buy an egg," Camilla explained quickly.
She hadn’t expected even seeded talents to have a quota on void beast eggs.
"May I see your badge ID, please?" the receptionist asked.
Understanding the situation, Nash presented his badge.
Seeing Nash hadn’t yet acquired a void beast pet, the receptionist smiled and invited them inside.
"Please come in. Professor Diana will assist you shortly."
---
"Professor Diana? Is it really necessary for someone so important to assist us?" Nash asked Camilla as they waited in the lobby.
The title of professor wasn’t used lightly, especially in the scientific world.
Scholars were the title used for tier 1 scientists, professors were for tier 2 scientists, and doctors were for tier 3 scientists.
Nash didn’t think they needed personal attention from such an esteemed individual.
"Don’t worry, it’s just standard procedure. They probably think we’re clueless and might damage the void beast eggs," Camilla said, grumbling, also unsure of the real reason.
"Little Camilla, no need to badmouth us like that," a lively voice called out from behind.
"Huh? Are you Professor Diana?" Camilla muttered, recognizing the girl.
Immediately, she understood why she didn’t have to follow strict protocols before.
With the person in charge already assisting her, what procedures were there left to follow?
"What do you think? Am I too beautiful to be a scientist?" Diana asked with a playful smile.
Unlike other scientists, who were obsessed with their studies and neglected their appearance and strength, Diana’s second nature was her striking looks.
Despite being over a thousand years old, she still looked like a teenager.
"Wow, I didn’t expect a beautiful girl like you to be a scientist," Camilla muttered, not treating her any differently after knowing her esteemed status.
Taking Diana’s arm, she skipped past her identity and eagerly asked about her beauty secrets.
As a Tier 2 scientist, Diana should be quite old.
Yet her crystal-clear appearance, untouched by time, left Camilla dying to know her secret.
"Alright, alright, I’ll tell you later... Let me guide your friend to choose a pet first."
"Oh, right!" Camilla exclaimed, remembering their time was limited.
Setting aside her curiosity, they followed Diana to select a void beast egg.
