CHAPTER 216: END OF TRAINING (2)

A month later, after becoming immune to a time ratio of 100 to 1 and building resistance up to a 10,000 to 1 ratio, Nash heaved a sigh of relief.

"This should be enough..."

Though not ideal, it was sufficient to handle potential dangers.

If he were unlucky enough to stumble into a temporal zone with a 1 million to 1 ratio, he could only accept that fate had other plans.

"It’s time for the last Extreme Zone..."

Returning to the Auralis IX natural planet for another trip, Nash couldn’t help but reflect on how fast time had flown.

Eight months had passed since they began their adaptability training, while over a year had also gone by since he left Earth.

Too busy with various matters, he hadn’t even noticed how much time had passed.

"If you hadn’t mentioned it, I wouldn’t have noticed either," Camilla sighed.

"It’s okay. We’ll get used to it."

Always thinking and moving forward, they barely noticed the past they’d left behind.

Looking back, Nash wondered how many people he would pass by and forget over time.

Playing with Nysr to lift their spirits, Nash suddenly noticed its growing size.

"A few more months, and Nysr could carry me in flight," Nash said, smiling as he rubbed its head.

"Cheep!"

"I wonder how fast it’ll be," Camilla said, her eyes sparkling with anticipation.

"We’ll find out later..."

After adjusting their mood, they quickly joined the group heading to the final Extreme Zone.

---

Extreme Slaughter Zone, Neutral Area

"Huh! This place is full of killing intent!" Nash exclaimed.

"This is the most important place in Auralis IX. I heard it’s only open at specific times every few years," Camilla said.

"How could it not be important? This is a place to hone our will," One of the Void General replied.

Unlike the previous zones, where they used void energy to resist environmental dangers.

Here, they needed to sharpen their will, the will to keep their mind clear amid slaughter, to never back down in danger, and to rise after every fall.

Whether in life, battle, or despair, will would be their most essential foundation.

Understanding the nature of the place, Nash felt a little interested.

Because he hadn’t faced much suffering, he always felt his will was lacking.

Together with Camilla, he walked toward the Slaughter Zone with conviction.

This time, besides the parallel consciousness recording changes in the runic space, he stopped all other parallel consciousness operations.

To receive the greatest baptism of slaughter and hone his will, his entire consciousness had to be focused.

Feeling the dense aura of killing, Nash couldn’t help but sense his blood boil.

As if infused with adrenaline, he clenched his fists, his body tensing.

With his heart beating faster, Nash pressed forward.

Along the way, his mind started to be influenced as rage began to build up in his heart.

Resisting the impulse, he kept walking.

Little by little, as he advanced, the slaughter’s influence grew denser.

As his eyes turned red, and murmurs of death clouded his mind, Nash quickly snapped back, clinging to a sliver of sanity.

"Not enough... a little more..." he muttered.

Forgetting everything, Nash focused on one thing: keeping his consciousness in check while moving forward.

Slowly but surely, he began to leave others behind as he pressed on.

He didn’t know how, but every time he teetered on the edge of succumbing to the slaughter, a lifeline seemed to pull him back.

---

A month later, just as Nash was about to press forward, he felt a tug on the rope tied to his waist.

"Is the trial over already?" Nash snapped back to his senses, recalling why he was there.

To fully immerse himself in the situation, he had even forgotten who he was to maintain his sanity; how could he remember his purpose?

Retracing his steps, he saw various seeded talents sprawled on the ground, roaring with killing intent, seemingly out of their minds.

"Hmm? Not bad. You’re still standing steady," Zeke commented, watching Nash slowly walk out of the Slaughter Zone.

Besides Nash and Skylar, there were only a few Void Generals who could stand.

"What happened to them?" Nash asked.

"They overdosed on the slaughter aura. Don’t worry, their minds should return soon," Zeke replied.

Sure enough, within minutes, the people roaring like wild beasts regained their senses, looking around cluelessly.

Seeing they were fine, Zeke began searching for those still missing.

Although they were tied by ropes, those who flew in rage accidentally snap them.

Looking around, Nash frowned, noticing Camilla wasn’t there.

"Not here?" he muttered.

Turning to the runic space, he connected to her runic thread.

Activating the [Sensing Module System] to glimpse her location, Nash’s frown deepened.

"Kill! Kill!"

"I’ll kill you!"

Like the others, she was consumed by rage, running wildly through the extreme slaughter zone.

Before he could investigate further, a light shot up, sending Camilla flying back to the Neutral Area.

"It’s Instructor Zeke," Nash thought in relief.

As Camilla landed in the Neutral Area, Nash quickly exited the runic space and caught her.

"Die!" she screamed, still out of her mind, lunging at his neck to bite it.

"Not so fast," Nash said calmly.

Pinching specific points on her body based on his knowledge of her runic programs, he quickly put Camilla to sleep.

"Huh? You’re quite skilled, young man. You handled that fast!" Zeke said, impressed by Nash’s actions.

"It’s nothing," Nash replied.

"Oh? Then can you help with the others?" Zeke asked, pointing around.

"No problem."

Stepping up, Nash began inducing the others to sleep.

Unlike the gentle, controlled method he used with Camilla, he had to rely on rougher tactics for the rest.

Not having mastered their runic programs, he could only target their weak spots to knock them out.

"Tsk, tsk, not bad,"

Watching Nash handle everyone, Zeke quickly went back to search for more students.

Going back and forth to the Slaughter Zone, Zeke retrieved each person as Nash administered his first aid.

Seeing his skillful methods, most of those who were awake couldn’t help but cast admiring glances at Nash.

In their mind, a bud of yearning, wanting to follow Nash, sprouted in their hearts.

---

Soon, after gathering all 113 seeded talents, Zeke clapped his hands as if he’d just finished cleaning a room.

"Alright, that’s enough of the games. Those of you who are awake, listen up,"

"For the next three months, you’ll have the freedom to do whatever you want. Whether it is to rest, train, or study."

"It’s up to you. But for the last year and a half, you’d better be prepared, because we’ll be spending it in the Dark Plane..."
