CHAPTER 233: CHAPTER 233: DON’T RUSH FOR QUICK SUCCESS

Axel Yates gave a wry smile. This Sienna Quinn really is a workaholic, by the looks of it, she already has a new plan in mind.

"Take care of your health, don’t push yourself too hard. Although I want the company to make money, your health is more important than making money."

Axel Yates didn’t advise further. He had told Sienna Quinn everything he wanted to say, but ultimately, it was up to this woman to make her own choices.

After seeing Axel off, Chiara Thorne sat across from Sienna Quinn and asked with a hint of doubt, "President Quinn, why do I feel like President Yates has been acting a bit strange lately?"

"Strange? I think he’s fine, nothing abnormal about him."

Sienna Quinn said casually. Although Axel Yates had something on his mind, it wasn’t enough to warrant Chiara Thorne’s remark. She pouted and said, "I think you’re overthinking. President Yates is perfectly normal."

"Normal? Why do I feel like his attitude towards you is a bit odd?" Chiara Thorne wondered if she was just overthinking, feeling that Axel Yates seemed overly concerned about Sienna.

Though they had met in France before, Axel’s attitude towards Sienna was merely that of a superior to a subordinate. But why did she feel that his gaze towards Sienna was different since her return?

Sienna Quinn noticed Chiara Thorne’s frowning expression and chuckled lightly, "I think you’re overthinking it. President Yates is a kind man, he’s concerned about everyone like that. You’ve just returned to the country, you’ll understand over time." Sienna didn’t take Chiara’s words to heart, still believing she was overthinking.

"Get in touch with Quinn Group’s new supplier, I think we might have new business to deal with." Sienna Quinn was decisive and wouldn’t allow herself to be held back, nor would she give her opponent any breathing room.

Since the opponent had already found a new supplier, they had to ruin this deal.

Chiara Thorne nodded and went out to get in touch with them.

Just as Sienna Quinn was about to leave, she suddenly received a call. Looking at the caller ID, it was Landon Lawson!

Ever since Vera Yates had that incident, Landon Lawson seemed to have vanished and stopped sneaking over to her place every day.

The Landon Lawson who used to frequent her apartment like it was his own home had disappeared.

As the phone continued ringing, Sienna suddenly felt a sense of annoyance. He was probably with Vera Yates all this time.

After all, his girlfriend had an incident. How could he not worry?

Even though she really wanted to hang up, she eventually pressed the answer button as she watched the phone flashing.

"Is there something you need from me?" Sienna said in an icy tone.

On the other end, Landon frowned slightly. Why did she sound like that when he called? Did he upset her somehow? But Landon hadn’t stirred up any trouble recently, did Sienna take a bullet?

"Yes!"

"Speak!"

Their conversation was straightforward. Sienna didn’t want to waste words on him, her cool tone making her seem unapproachable.

"I know Quinn Group recently found a new supplier, but there seems to be some issue. I know you want to target Quinn Group, but don’t rush into things."

Landon Lawson said with a frown regarding the Quinn Group’s new supplier.

But is it really so easy to find a good supplier? Especially one this big.

Landon always felt something was off, but with too little time to investigate, he worried Sienna might act rashly, so he offered his advice.

Upon hearing the man’s advice, Sienna chuckled softly, "President Lawson, maybe you should be worrying about your girlfriend instead. After all, rumors about her are everywhere, yet you still have time to worry about me?"

Sienna was upset. Either he wouldn’t appear, or when he did, it would be to go against her. Did the CEO of Lawson Group really have so much free time? Not only could he help his girlfriend solve her issues, he also had the leisure to deal with his ex-wife?

Listening to the woman’s sarcasm, Landon’s brow furrowed, his face darkening slightly, "I’m serious."

"So am I!"

After speaking, Sienna hung up the phone without another word. Someone like Landon, who would worry about anyone, was best kept at a distance.

Landon looked at the disconnected phone, his face turning pale with anger.

Nolan Shaw stood nearby, shrinking back. It seemed this call didn’t go well; he hoped the boss wouldn’t take his bad mood out on him.

Landon looked up, expressionless, at Nolan: "How did you handle Vera Yates’ situation?"

Nolan paused, why suddenly bring up Vera Yates?

"I followed your instructions, got the media to let Miss Vance through, and didn’t interfere with anything else."

Hearing Nolan’s response, Landon nodded lightly. That answer seemed fine, so why was Sienna’s reaction so intense? Did she think he meddled somehow?

"Find out how Sienna plans to handle the Quinn Group’s new supplier situation."

Ten minutes later.

"Where are they now?" Landon still couldn’t rest easy and decided to see for himself.

"At a restaurant in the distance. They’re likely about to meet."

The person didn’t know what was going on, he could only answer Landon’s questions!

"Let’s go!"

Landon said as he grabbed his coat and car keys from the table, ready to head out.

Sienna Quinn arrived well ahead of time, yet hadn’t seen the client, her brows furrowing slightly.

Sienna glanced at her watch, thinking the time was just about right, and began to look around, finally spotting a man in a suit with a protruding belly.

From afar, the man seemed in his thirties or forties, sporting a large beer belly, looking every bit the businessman. But with a belly like that, paired with an expensive suit, his first impression wasn’t a good one.

Sienna wasn’t too concerned with appearances, thinking as long as it was a client, any type would do. Her immediate concern was resolving the business dealings between him and Quinn Group.

Sienna stood warmly and signaled him over with a wave.

As the man approached, Sienna greeted him with a smile, extending her hand politely.

The man was visibly excited as he extended his hand in kind. Just as Sienna was about to withdraw her hand post-handshake,

the man ogled Sienna and tightly gripped her hand. Having paid little attention to the gesture, Sienna was unable to retract her hand successfully.
