I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 266: Going to Find My Wife
CHAPTER 266: CHAPTER 266: GOING TO FIND MY WIFE
"Stephen, President Sterling was just asking if you’ve arrived," Vera Yates said nonchalantly, unwilling to let Evan Quinn really take Landon Lawson away.
Evan Quinn frowned, glaring at Vera Yates with a sullen face. She’s such a bad woman, still thinking of competing with him for his dad, shameless!
"President Sterling? Got it." Landon Lawson paused for a moment, and then took Evan Quinn away in another direction.
Vera Yates stood there, stunned, watching Landon Lawson’s retreating figure. "Stephen, that’s not the right direction."
Landon Lawson waved his hand, not looking back, and said, "See you later, need to find my wife."
Evan Quinn made a playful face at Vera Yates.
Vera Yates, frustrated, stomped her foot. How could she lose to a little kid!
Evan Quinn hummed triumphantly, and Landon Lawson looked curiously at the little one beside him who let out a smug huff.
"What’s making you so happy?"
Evan Quinn grinned, his lips curling up. "Because I won!" Landon Lawson, of course, didn’t know about the little mind battle between Evan Quinn and Vera Yates.
Chiara Thorne had originally brought Evan Quinn here to Sienna Quinn, but ran into Landon Lawson halfway, who then left with Evan Quinn.
Now only Chiara Thorne and Vera Yates were left, facing each other awkwardly, eyes wide and bewildered, watching as Vera’s face turned unpleasant. Chiara turned her head, chuckling secretly.
Vera Yates bit her lip fiercely, her eyes seeming to shoot flames.
After her hidden laughter, Chiara Thorne turned to Vera Yates. "Miss Vance, perhaps I could accompany you to see President Sterling? The Quinn Group is looking to expand its business."
Vera Yates looked coldly at Chiara Thorne. Although it was momentary, Chiara could clearly see the chill in Vera’s eyes.
Vera Yates smiled, her eyes curving with a smile. "Please, Ms. Thornton, go ahead on your own. I have other matters to attend to." With that, she left without turning back.
Miles Grant, having been observing the dynamics from afar, saw Vera Yates alone and remarked to those beside him, "I’m going over for a moment."
Miles Grant approached Vera Yates, "Why are you alone?"
Vera Yates looked aside at Miles Grant, turning away arrogantly without responding. Seeing such a rare display of pettiness from her, Miles Grant actually found it somewhat endearing.
"Who upset you? Who dared to make our little princess angry like this?"
Vera Yates glanced at Miles Grant, her cheeks puffed with annoyance, "It’s Stephen again, he went to find Sienna."
Landon Lawson...
Landon Lawson again. In Vera Yates’s heart, there was only ever Landon Lawson. There was no room for him in her heart, and even though he knew what Vera was thinking, he couldn’t help but not want to see this woman feeling sad.
"Sienna Quinn?"
Miles Grant softly whispered her name, a shadow crossing his eyes. Sienna Quinn had always been a stumbling block for Vera Yates. There weren’t many people he cared about, aside from the Grant Family, Vera Yates was the one who truly mattered to him.
But Landon Lawson’s feelings for Sienna seemed different. From his eyes and their last conversation, it was clear that his feelings for her were somewhat complex.
"About what we discussed last time, when are you planning to start? Or are you still hesitant because of Sienna Quinn? If it weren’t for her, you would have already become Landon Lawson’s woman."
Vera Yates lifted her head, tears glistening in her eyes as she gently bit her lip, "But... but..."
"There’s no but. I’ll take care of it; you just act as if you know nothing," Miles Grant spoke slowly, his indifferent eyes flashing with a touch of ruthlessness as he gently pulled Vera Yates into his embrace, her body trembling slightly.
Hearing Miles Grant’s response, a smile curled on Vera Yates’s lips.
Women’s tears are truly useful. With just a few tears, Miles Grant was willing to do anything for her. Vera’s lips slowly curled upwards, her eyes gleaming with a playful glint.
In the dressing room.
Felix Orwell and Sean Carter stood at the entrance of the dressing room, arms folded gentlemanly, not bothered by how long it took for the ladies to change.
As the door of the dressing room slowly opened, a long slender leg stepped out first, its firm calf without a hint of excess flesh, the fair skin kissed by the light with a thin golden hue.
Looking further up, a waist slim enough to be held in one hand, ample bosom, and that stunning face.
Though they’d spent years in France, Felix Orwell and Sean Carter had never seen Sienna Quinn in a swimsuit before. For a moment, both were transfixed.
Sean Carter muttered to himself, "Beautiful, truly beautiful!" He had always known Sienna was pretty but never imagined she could embody such a goddess, exuding a powerful, confident aura.
It made Sienna shine exceptionally bright at this party.
Standing at the front, Sienna Quinn, looking a bit troubled and bashful, commented, "Is this really okay? I always feel that the back might be a bit too exposed."
With that, she turned her back to them, revealing her smooth back in a backless dress. The sexy lines on her back were displayed in front of them. The swimsuit Felix Orwell chose fit Sienna perfectly, highlighting all her body’s advantages.
Yet for these two men, Sienna’s actions were like a deadly poison.
Gulp!
A swallowing sound echoed in the air, jolting Felix Orwell from his thoughts. He turned away, glaring intimidatingly at Sean Carter, who had made the sound.
Sean Carter murmured, "Beautiful, truly beautiful!" Felix Orwell gazed infatuatedly at Sienna, who was still preoccupied with her appearance.
A cold chuckle echoed in Sean Carter’s ears.
A sudden sense of fear gripped him. As he turned his stiff neck and met Felix Orwell’s mocking gaze, Sean Carter shivered violently. How could he be so daring, sneaking glances at Sienna in front of Felix Orwell? It seemed like a death wish.
"Does it look good?"
"Good... No, not good... No, that’s not it..." Sean Carter stammered, unsure of what he should say for a long while.
Finally, he clasped his hands together towards Felix Orwell, "I’m wrong; I really shouldn’t have been looking."
"You actually know you shouldn’t look?" Felix Orwell raised an eyebrow. The woman he was interested in wasn’t one he would let other men gaze upon.
Felix Orwell’s sinister laughter always left one wondering what he was thinking.
"Then what are you still doing here?" At that moment, Felix Orwell regretted organizing the pool party. He merely wanted to see Sienna in a swimsuit, but now, having seen it, he wished no one else had.
Felix Orwell admitted he was selfish, but only selfish for Sienna Quinn!
