CHAPTER 310: CHAPTER 310: ONCE AGAIN BLESSED WITH THE FRUIT OF LOVE

Landon Lawson looked at Sienna Quinn, feeling a sense of bitterness mixed with sweetness. If he hadn’t been injured, he would have already held this little woman in his arms and ravaged her fiercely. But now, he couldn’t accept Sienna.

He’s... a cripple now.

Sienna’s future shouldn’t be tied to a disabled person like him.

Landon withdrew his hand from the table, hiding the unrest and agitation in his heart.

"Woman, do you think the Lawson Family is a place you can come and go as you please? If I insist on divorcing you, what can you do against me? Can you hire a better lawyer than mine?"

Landon’s lips parted slightly, the upward curve of his mouth announcing his disdain and contempt for the woman in front of him.

He used the most venomous words to provoke Sienna, seemingly reminding himself not to soften! Softening would only harm her!

Sienna ended up in danger because of the personal vendetta between him and Axel Yates’ families. If it weren’t for him, Axel wouldn’t have targeted Sienna.

If he truly wanted to protect her, he needed to sever ties with her.

Axel’s obsession with his parents’ death wouldn’t easily dissipate.

How could Sienna not see his disgust towards her? She bitterly smiled inwardly, thinking that if she’d known things would come to this, she would rather have been the one injured.

"Stephen, I know you’re avoiding the issue. I’ve made up my mind; I want to be with you forever." Sienna moved closer to Landon, gently rose on tiptoe, and wrapped her small arms around Landon’s neck, her lips softly touching his thin ones.

Landon’s heart pounded uncontrollably. He embraced Sienna, deeply inhaling her scent, savoring the tenderness of the moment.

Landon tried to lift his right hand to hold her close but discovered his right hand couldn’t move.

The sudden numbness in his right hand snapped Landon back to reality. He pushed Sienna away, yelling with uncontrollable anger, "Sienna! Don’t you know I’m paralyzed! Paralyzed!"

"And so what?" Sienna said tearfully, "We’ve overcome so many misunderstandings before; you never cared about them. Do you care now?"

"Yes! I care!" Landon responded firmly to Sienna, then softened a bit, continuing, "You’re suitable to be taken care of by someone better than a paralyzed man, like Felix Orwell. He could do it."

"You!"

Sienna’s heart was torn apart: "You’re simply unreasonable!"

Sienna could no longer bear it, stared intensely into Landon’s eyes, and said seriously, "Are you serious?"

"When have you ever seen me not be serious?"

Landon sneered coldly; he had to be indifferent, had to be ruthless, even if his own heart felt like it was being cut into pieces.

Sienna closed her eyes, knowing how much resolve it took to take this step.

Sienna turned and left; this place truly had no room for her!

Back in her room, Sienna first called Felix Orwell, asking him to take care of Evan Quinn for a few days.

Given Landon’s current state, it’s best to avoid Evan meeting him.

A father must care about the impression he leaves, and even the once strong Landon wouldn’t want his child to see his weak side.

Felix didn’t know what happened to Sienna, but he always had a good impression of Evan and used to help Sienna with him often.

Unknowingly, Sienna fell asleep.

In her dreams, Sienna was restless.

She dreamt of Miles Grant stabbing into her body and taking her kidney.

Sienna watched the blood flow from her abdomen, unable to cry or escape, and in a moment, she struggled out from the dream.

She touched the cold sweat on her forehead, and Sienna, trembling, tightly held onto her stomach.

Thank goodness, it was all a dream...

Sienna climbed awkwardly back into bed, even though it was a stiflingly hot July, she felt cold and shivering, wrapping herself in blankets until she gradually fell asleep.

The next day, Sienna woke up covered in sweat, feeling foggy-headed. She reached for a thermometer, realizing she had a fever.

Sienna was shocked, knowing she shouldn’t endure an illness or take medicine recklessly, she quickly tidied up to go to the hospital to see a specialist.

At that moment, Sienna’s stomach growled, finally feeling hunger.

But now she had more important matters to attend to, no time to cook and fill her stomach.

How Sienna wished Landon could live a normal life with her, have a marriage like any other person.

But she feared she couldn’t wait because that person never gave her a shred of hope.

Sienna left her apartment, called a cab, and headed to the hospital. But she couldn’t see that just as she left, a black Ferrari drove towards the Lawson Family estate.

Sienna arrived at the People’s Hospital, registered herself, and waited outside for consultation.

Sienna felt extremely anxious, not knowing why someone with usually strong health would suddenly catch a cold and develop a high fever.

"Ms. Quinn, please see the doctor!"

The electronic screen displayed Sienna’s name, and she immediately stood up, entering the consultation room.

"Hello, please sit down. What seems to be the problem?" The doctor inquired with a warm voice.

Sienna nodded frantically, "Um, doctor, I have a fever. I checked my temperature at home; it’s 38 degrees."

"First, let’s run a urine test."

The doctor handed Sienna a form, and after her test, she returned with the results.

Five minutes later, Sienna handed over her urine test slip.

The doctor looked at the results, surprised, "You’re pregnant! Pregnant and running a high fever without consulting a doctor sooner, that’s simply reckless!"

The doctor’s reprimand didn’t sink in for Sienna.

At that moment, her mind was entirely occupied with the realization that she was pregnant! She was really pregnant again!

She joked about it with Landon Lawson before, never expecting she’d be right.

Sienna’s hand gently touched her belly, dazedly asking, "Am I really pregnant?"

"I’ve been a doctor for many years; how could I be mistaken about this?"

The doctor wasn’t surprised; after all, every woman reacts this way upon learning they’re pregnant.

Sienna’s palm softly caressed her lower abdomen, realizing she hadn’t had her period for a long time.

She thought her cycle was disrupted due to recent events.

It seemed it was actually because she was pregnant.

Sienna never thought she’d conceive Landon’s child again. Her heart felt so sweet, as if she’d tasted sugar. She finally had another chance with Landon’s love.

"Doctor! Am I okay then?"

Sienna finally got a hold of herself from the joy, hurriedly asking the doctor with concern.

The doctor smiled at the anxious Sienna, "Don’t worry, a cold and fever won’t have a significant impact on the baby. Just avoid taking random medications and follow medical advice during treatment; there won’t be any problems. Relax, don’t keep your mind tense all the time. If you’re tense, the baby in your womb will feel it too."

Sienna breathed a deep sigh of relief, hearing there’s no problem made her nerves much calmer.

"Thank you, doctor."

Sienna sincerely thanked the doctor.
