CHAPTER 326: CHAPTER 326: RASH

Clara Quinn couldn’t stop crying, her little face already covered with tear stains.

"Someone like her? What kind of person?" Tom Quinn said coldly.

Amanda Warren had been enduring in silence, and only burst out when she saw that Tom Quinn was really going to send Clara Quinn away: "How can my daughter receive the same treatment as the daughter of that slut? Claire was born into wealth, and you’re sending her to France to suffer? How can our daughter possibly endure that?"

Old Mrs. Quinn silently watched the family of three arguing.

Upon hearing the word "slut" from Amanda Warren’s lips, her entire face darkened completely.

"Shut up!"

When Old Mrs. Quinn finally spoke, everyone fell completely silent.

Amanda Warren hurried over to Old Mrs. Quinn, wiping tears from the corners of her eyes: "Mom, you must stop him, he’s really going to send Claire away. Some places in France aren’t safe."

"Now you know France isn’t safe? When you forced Sienna into France before, why didn’t I see you feeling unsafe? You even hoped Sienna wouldn’t come back!" Old Mrs. Quinn scoffed; she wasn’t buying Amanda Warren’s act at all, and instead coldly laughed, glancing at the family of three with a dark gaze.

Leaning on her cane, she stood up and said coldly: "Don’t think I don’t know about some things; I’m just too lazy to speak up. Now that the Quinn Family is in peace, whoever dares to stir up trouble again shouldn’t blame me for being merciless."

After speaking, she turned and left. Old Mrs. Quinn’s fury had changed the entire atmosphere of the villa. Claire stopped crying, Amanda didn’t dare plead anymore, and even Tom Quinn didn’t dare yell and shout. Everyone knew who truly held the most authority in the Quinn Family.

Not Sienna Quinn, who had taken Tom Quinn’s position as president, but the nearly grave-bound Old Mrs. Quinn.

Tom Quinn threw his hand forcefully: "A good meal, ruined by the two of you again. This family truly can’t have peace. Tomorrow you’ll go to France." With that, he left without even turning his head, his gloomy face causing Clara to cry out loud, bursting into tears.

"Mom, I don’t want to, I don’t want to go to France. If I really go there, my life will be ruined, and it’s so hard there."

Tom Quinn had previously said that once Clara went, he would only cover her tuition, and not a bit of her material needs, leaving Clara to support herself with work-study there. Whether or not she could manage would be up to her.

Amanda Warren held Clara Quinn in her arms, unable to bear the thought of the life her daughter was about to face, looked sullen and murmured: "I absolutely won’t agree to this; I will not let you go to France to suffer."

"So what do we do? Dad always means what he says."

Clara Quinn pursed her lips, crying all the while, tears falling continuously, looking utterly wronged.

Amanda Warren snorted coldly: "He wants you to go? Let’s see if I agree. Tomorrow, I’ll give you some money, and you can go anywhere for a while, then come back later. Let’s see if your dad still remembers this." By then, Tom Quinn would have long calmed down, and once his anger subsided, how could he possibly care about where Clara went?

Clara Quinn nodded with pursed lips, thankful that she still had a mother; otherwise, she really wouldn’t have been able to handle it.

Late at night, at the Lawson villa.

The night wind blew gently, as Landon Lawson looked at Sienna, who was already asleep beside him.

Her peaceful breathing, her stunning little face, even after a hard day, still looked so beautiful.

Sienna pursed her lips and turned over, her brow furrowed into a lovely frown. Landon watched her with a sort of fascination, leaning over, gently reaching out to smooth out the wrinkles between her brows.

"If you’re so tired, why do you insist on bearing everything yourself?" Landon shook his head helplessly. He knew about Sienna’s visit to Yates Group today and what had happened at the company when Axel Yates was absent.

Even when Danielle Carter approached Sienna, he knew, but he didn’t tell Sienna that. This little one was truly repaying evil with good.

Clearly, she was very tired, but when she got back, she still wouldn’t say anything.

Landon got off the bed, looking coolly out the window. He initially wanted so much to sleep holding Sienna, but thought about it and decided to let her have a good night’s sleep on her own today.

Tiptoeing out of the room, he took only a couple of steps before reaching Evan’s room.

A slight smile curled Landon’s lips as he remembered the time when this little guy had just come to stay with him.

Evan’s adaptability was amazing, even if Landon ignored him, he would still be energetically running around every day.

From the initial curiosity about this kid to deep love, Landon never expected that his lonely and cold heart would one day soften like this.

Landon had arranged a room for Evan to sleep alone. But every midnight, Evan would sneak into Landon’s room, crawl into bed with him, and snuggle against his arm, claiming it was his habit.

Landon repeatedly "chased" Evan back to his room, but after a while, he’d sneak back in. Landon had no choice but to sacrifice half of his bed for this little rascal.

Though Landon wore a cold face of disdain toward Evan, he was inwardly thrilled to be able to enjoy such a warm relationship with him.

Holding Evan happily, it was as if the whole world was beautiful...

At that time, Landon was nearly driven mad by Evan, but always thinking about him being his own son, he could only hide all his bad temper.

Landon pushed open Evan’s bedroom door, looking at the child sleeping on the bed, and a slight smile curved his lips. Truly his kid, as even his sleeping posture was the exact same as Sienna’s.

Everyone said Evan was a spitting image of Landon, but in many minor details, he was very much like Sienna.

Landon sat down, just sitting there, as he seriously watched Evan’s little face.

Suddenly, a small white foot kicked the blanket off, and with a twist of his chubby little bottom, Evan turned over, leaving large patches of skin exposed.

Landon shook his head hopelessly. Picking up the blanket that Evan had kicked away, he was about to cover him when he noticed many red bumps on Evan’s arms and face.

He was shocked, even doubting his own eyes.

He quickly turned on the light to look closely at Evan, confirming that he hadn’t been mistaken.

Full of rashes, Evan was fast asleep, his whole face flushed, and it looked pretty serious.
