I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 339: Endless Worries
CHAPTER 339: CHAPTER 339: ENDLESS WORRIES
"These two people, they really keep me constantly worried."
The old butler turned his head and looked at the face that bore an 80-90% resemblance to his young master, shaking his head with amusement.
This little rascal is really wise beyond his years, even more mature than anyone else.
After Sienna Quinn left the villa, she went early to the villa where Chiara Thorne lived. Luckily, both Sean Carter and Felix Orwell were not there today.
Ding-dong!
A doorbell interrupted Chiara Thorne’s afternoon nap.
Opening the door and seeing Sienna standing outside, Chiara couldn’t hide her excitement because she knew well that this time Sienna probably wouldn’t leave again. However, when she saw the luggage in her hand, she was a little stunned and said, "Why did you bring luggage this time?"
"Because I plan to move out from where I used to live."
"What? Did Axel Yates tell you to leave?" Chiara frowned, speaking with concern. After all, the apartment was prepared by Axel Yates, and now that Sienna wasn’t working for the Yates Group, it was reasonable for him to ask her to move out. Could Axel Yates really be that decisive this time around?
Sienna shook her head gently and said, "He didn’t ask me to move out; I just don’t want to live there anymore."
"What happened? Did something happen?" Chiara asked, frowning. Considering Axel Yates’ previous actions, the events were evident. If Felix hadn’t arrived early that day, they might never have seen Landon Lawson and Sienna again.
To be honest, Chiara thought that moving out was quite good in itself since Axel was a ticking time bomb, and no one knew when he might explode.
"Axel has returned, but he seems like a different person, feeling very intimidating," Sienna said, frowning.
"Intimidating?" Chiara was momentarily stunned, her brows tightly furrowed. After all, previously, Axel Yates was capable of shooting Landon and Sienna; what else was he incapable of?
But... the issue isn’t resolved yet?
Seeing Chiara’s confusion, Sienna nodded and said, "Yes, you’re not mistaken; the issue hasn’t been completely resolved."
"I think Axel is truly mad. You and Landon had better stay far away from him," Chiara remarked with some urgency because Axel was not who he used to be.
Sienna nodded, which is why she decided to move out from Axel’s place.
"You seem like you don’t have any place to stay now. Why don’t you live here instead? We can look out for each other," Chiara suggested, moving forward to take Sienna’s luggage.
This time, Sienna did not refuse.
Chiara helped Sienna move her luggage to her room, and while helping her unpack, she did become somewhat puzzled.
After all, a while ago, Sienna had just mentioned wanting to start anew with Landon.
Since both had intentions of starting anew, why wasn’t Sienna going to Landon?
"You and Landon..." Chiara hesitated.
"Let’s leave it at that," Sienna didn’t want to delve deep and instead interrupted the topic.
Chiara shook her head helplessly. Though they were close friends, when it came to feelings, Sienna was evasive more than anyone.
"Forget it, maybe this is good too. From the beginning, I didn’t really see you and Landon together; after all, he hurt you in the past." From the start, Chiara always felt Felix was genuinely kind to Sienna, unconditionally.
If Sienna could really be with Felix, it wouldn’t be a bad match.
"I truly think Felix is fantastic. Why can’t you give him a chance?"
Sienna paused her luggage handling and slowly spoke, "I only see him as a friend. Some relationships cannot reach the end, but some friendships can go the distance."
Seeing Sienna’s rebuttal, Chiara became anxious, thinking that if things delayed more, Sienna would continually be stuck in these matters.
"Since you are back and you have met Old President Orwell already, he has always had a good impression of you. Why not give it a try?" Chiara urged eagerly, expressing that if matters between Sienna and Felix were settled, she could be at ease.
Sienna continued to busy herself, calmly replying to Chiara, "There’s no rush for this."
"You’re not in a hurry, but I am! Think about it, Felix is of good character and handsome, no worse than Landon. Besides, Landon’s hand now..."
"Chiara!" Sienna detested others talking about Landon’s hand; not even her best friend was allowed.
"Don’t always bring that up. After all, Landon’s hand was injured saving me."
"Alright, alright, I won’t mention it. Please don’t get upset. But my actions are genuinely for your sake."
Chiara looked at Sienna helplessly, knowing her approach worked best with Sienna.
Sure enough, Sienna softened, "Okay, I know you mean well. As for Felix, I’ll deal with it on my own."
"Well... since you’re back, why don’t you go to the Lawson Family and bring Evan back? Honestly, since Evan went there, I haven’t had a peaceful sleep, fearing Landon might secretly take Evan away," Chiara continued sharing her thoughts.
After all, when Sienna came back earlier, everyone was worried.
Once Landon learns about Evan’s identity, he certainly wouldn’t let his child wander outside, and Sienna feared her only psychological solace might be snatched away by Landon.
She consistently protected Evan with utmost care.
Upon hearing this, Sienna sighed deeply, setting down the clothes in her hand, sitting quietly on the bed gazing at Chiara.
"I won’t go get Evan. When the time is right, he will naturally bring Evan back. Chiara, this serves as a way to make up for Evan’s lost paternal affection since childhood."
Chiara puckered her lips and grumbled, "Ah! You should realize that the culprit for Evan losing his father’s love early on is none other than Landon himself."
She really didn’t see good in Landon, especially after considering the harm he caused Sienna previously.
Not only with the other woman entangled, but also repeatedly hurting Sienna blindly. These five years of suffering were all due to Landon’s mistakes.
"Chiara!"
Sienna was angry.
"No matter what happened before, at least Landon has been kind to me now. How can you say that about him!"
Chiara realized she misspoke, viewed Sienna sheepishly, and softened her tone saying, "I just believe you should focus on living your own life. Why worry unnecessarily about others’ matters..."
Sienna pursed her lips tightly; she felt increasingly misunderstood now.
Even if the whole world didn’t understand her, didn’t support her, she still wanted to manage her affairs well, not succumbing to worldly views by doing what doesn’t align with her heart.
Feeling disinterested, Chiara sighed loudly on purpose before leaving Sienna’s room.
