I Have A Solo Mommy Plan, But Daddy Refuses to Let Go
Chapter 356: Adopted Parents
CHAPTER 356: CHAPTER 356: ADOPTED PARENTS
In fact, during the day, Sienna Quinn wrote words on Evan Quinn’s palm, instructing him to act as she said, but he must show some reluctance.
Evan Quinn’s performance was excellent, not even the two men noticed a hint of flaw.
Sienna Quinn held Evan Quinn tightly in her embrace, fearing any accident might occur to him.
"I want to investigate something, so I’m deliberately getting close to Axel Yates. I’ll need your help then," Sienna Quinn rested her chin on Evan Quinn’s forehead.
The breath she exhaled brushed against Evan Quinn’s head, damp and soft.
"It’s a minor thing, but Mom, you don’t really like him, do you?" Ah, good, his brow furrowed, afraid his mom might fall for this man.
Sienna Quinn chuckled softly and said, "Do you dislike Uncle Axel Yates so much? I remember you two had quite a good relationship before."
Hearing this, Evan Quinn’s brow furrowed slightly in displeasure.
"I don’t know why, but I always feel this uncle is very sinister now, exactly the type I dislike," Evan Quinn said seriously, without any hint of emotion.
Sienna Quinn froze for a moment, not expecting Evan Quinn’s observation skills to be so strong.
"That’s why Mom needs to investigate some things."
"Don’t worry, Mom, this small matter can be left to me," Evan Quinn actively snuggled into Sienna Quinn’s arms, pretending they were still asleep.
"It was Mom who dragged you into this. You won’t resent Mom in the future, right?" Sienna Quinn muttered softly, her eyes filled with slight worry.
Now Axel Yates was no longer the gentle man he once was. He was capable of doing anything despicable.
Although she wanted to clarify the misunderstanding between Landon Lawson and Axel Yates, involving her precious son made her feel guilty.
But now she needed her son to accompany her in this act.
"Of course I won’t resent Mom. I love Mom so much, whatever Mom does, I’ll support her unconditionally," Evan Quinn mumbled sleepily.
The next morning, bright and early, Axel Yates knocked on their door.
Sienna Quinn rubbed her sleepy eyes and opened the door, "What’s the matter?"
"Looks like Chloe can’t go to school today," Axel Yates slowly said, handing over two gift boxes.
Sienna Quinn looked at the gift boxes from the man, puzzled, and asked, "What are these?"
"These are evening dresses that you and Chloe will need later."
"Dresses? Why?" Sienna Quinn’s brow furrowed as her pretty little face showed surprise.
Axel Yates, however, smiled and said, "Because today, I’m taking you to meet some people. After all, you’re living in my house now, so you should meet my family."
"Your family? Aren’t your parents already deceased?" As far as Sienna Quinn knew, Axel Yates’ parents had long passed away, and he managed the company alone. So, who were these family members he spoke of?
Seeing Sienna Quinn’s puzzled expression, Axel Yates just smiled lightly, "Change into the clothes and come out with me."
Pushing the items into Sienna Quinn’s hands, he turned and left.
Sienna Quinn returned to the room and closed the door. She carefully observed her surroundings, fearing any bugging devices or surveillance cameras were present.
"What’s going on, Mom? Why did he wake us so early?" Evan Quinn rubbed his sleepy eyes, clearly not fully rested.
"Looks like you’ll miss a day of school again. We have some other things to do today," she said as she walked over and opened the gift boxes.
Evan Quinn did not ask too many questions, as he too knew speaking in this room was likely unsafe; walls might have ears, so caution was necessary.
Sienna Quinn whispered so only they could hear, "Today we can take a good look at who surrounds Axel Yates?"
Evan Quinn nodded lightly, his sleepy expression hiding all his true thoughts. If Axel Yates knew, he’d certainly regret overlooking this little fellow.
When the two changed into their outfits and came downstairs, Axel Yates was already waiting for them below.
Sienna Quinn, in a beautiful black dress, walked down slowly with Evan Quinn, who was also in a small black suit.
Her fair skin and sensual figure were flawless to anyone, even Evan Quinn, used to seeing beautiful women, had to admit Sienna Quinn’s beauty.
Even though she’d had a child, her figure was so well maintained.
Seeing Sienna Quinn like this, Axel Yates was very pleased. He said, "Sienna, you look beautiful today!"
Evan Quinn stood next to Sienna Quinn, feeling a little dejected, but he still listened to her and dressed up in his best outfit, ready to go out.
But as soon as he and Sienna appeared, Axel Yates squeezed them aside.
He glared at Axel Yates angrily, feeling the man didn’t deserve his beautiful mom.
No matter his reluctance, Sienna still took him along and got into Axel Yates’ car.
Axel Yates was excited, "Sienna, don’t be nervous, my parents will be very surprised to see you!"
"Your parents? What parents?" Sienna Quinn asked in confusion.
Axel Yates’ parents had passed away half a year ago. Whom did he refer to as parents?
"They’re my adoptive parents. After all, I’ve been without parents for eight years. To have some solace, I’ve been taking care of two elderly widows to do my small part," Axel Yates said slowly, with a bit of melancholy in his voice.
Sienna Quinn was taken aback; she hadn’t expected him to have such a story.
But they hadn’t confirmed their relationship yet, so was it appropriate to bring her home so hastily?
Seeing Sienna Quinn’s hesitation, Axel Yates smiled and said, "Don’t worry, it’s just to accompany me home for a show, I won’t impose on you."
Sienna Quinn smiled, not hoping for any surprise, just wishing it wouldn’t be shocking. Taking one with another isn’t something any family would want to see.
But since Axel Yates wanted her and Evan Quinn to join this act, it wasn’t out of the question.
After all, gaining Axel Yates’ trust was the current priority.
Regardless of the outcome, Sienna was prepared. She could ensure that no matter how awkward the situation, she’d stay calm.
Sienna glanced at the gifts placed on the car’s back seat and smiled at Axel Yates.
"Did you prepare all these?"
Axel Yates nodded lightly, "I prepared them, but I’ll say you specifically prepared them later."
"President Yates, it doesn’t matter. Thank you for preparing gifts in advance for me to go to your house, but honestly, I should have prepared these myself."
