Though he no longer felt that fear as an adult, when he was younger, he would have been too scared to even go to the bathroom at night, thanks to those stories his mother had told him.

The Dragon Slayer had been the one who made Burner suppress his desire to leave and continue his training in the Dragon Tongue.

So, it was hard for him to understand why the Dragon Slayer would bring him to a human village instead of slaying him.

‘Didn’t he hate dragons?’

He had slain dozens of dragons but never harvested dragon hearts or any such byproducts. He didn’t elevate himself as a Dragon Slayer.

He simply traveled across the continent, slaying dragons.

Burner had always thought the Dragon Slayer hated dragons, but his actions were completely different.

Rather than kill him, an unhatched dragon, the Dragon Slayer had gently cradled him in his arms and brought him into a human village, even taking him to an inn.
