Like a wicked god tempting mortals, Beidos could have been creating pacts akin to demonic contracts, amassing followers to serve his purpose. The strange obsession of his empire with executing the innocent, the use of necromancy to dispose of the bodies—everything pointed to rituals and sacrifices meant to resurrect the dark dragon.

He had hidden his true identity as an evil dragon, masquerading as a divine being, and bent an entire empire to his will. All this while still bound by his seal. The mere thought of it chilled Burner. What a terrifying entity.

And that wasn’t all.

Beidos’s influence extended far beyond the empire of humans. He had corrupted dragons across the continent with his malevolent energy, breaking their minds and reducing them to mindless beasts. Among the victims were those who had raised Latis, driving her to take their lives herself in a cruel twist of fate.

Now Burner understood why this story required more than one hero. The adversaries he’d faced so far, whether the Abyssal entities or the Research Director, had been formidable, but this enemy’s scale was completely different. A being born as a dragon, ascending to a dragon god, and seeking to conquer dimensions—it was an unimaginable monster. Burner’s opponent was not one to be underestimated.
