I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse
Chapter 1799: It’s a Big Messy Situation
CHAPTER 1799: IT’S A BIG MESSY SITUATION
The two just realised that they left behind a grand fleet of ships, one that formed their entire pirate force. On top of that, they left behind all the warriors whom they got from Hye.
"We might have taken a big loss from this," Hye went to the deck of the flagship, sat on the commander seat before adding, "yet we just left behind the ships, empty without a single warrior."
"What?!!!" both of them said in the same breath, and soon it hit them, "that’s why... That’s why you kept moving around at the last stretch, you were taking the warriors back..." the pirate king realised what was Hye busy doing before they escaped, finally linking the dots.
"They were your warriors to begin with, you had their tokens," the lady nymph nodded in realisation, "good move! Brilliant one actually, and yet... Why did you insist we put the ships on autopilot?"
"You think of a reason," Hye sounded like he enjoyed such a situation, so Hye didn’t volunteer to explain anything, letting them do all the thinking.
"You marked that spot for a reason," the lady nymph was the first to speak, "it was the direction of the portal that Hescos fleets came from, right?"
"So, you wanted the Hescos to wipe all of our ships to push away any evidence that might be linked to us?" The pirate king tried to give this more thinking, and yet he drifted away from what Hye wanted from this move.
"No no, it’s not this simple," the lady nymph was the one to interrupt him, "I know him more than you, and believe me he won’t do anything this complicated for such a simple reasoning!"
"Keep wasting time until the war ends," Hye reminded the two about the task he gave to them minutes ago, "gather the new intel and you’ll get more inspiration from there."
"He is very stingy with us," the lady nymph moved with the pirate king to another spot so she and the pirate king could start their work.
"I heard that," Hye knew she did raise her voice on purpose, and yet he didn’t give any more tips. Instead, he kept watching in an amusing way at the two, while he finished sending messages to inform his friends and top leaders and generals about his safe return. As he waited for everyone to come to this planet, he took his time checking the thing he totally ignored so far; Silverlinning messages!
[Are you involved in any of the things happening to our caravan?]
[I heard rumours about seeing a force using weird tactics to attack our forces, is that you?]
[Come on old friend, you know you can’t ignore my messages like that!]
[I saw a video which showed some disturbing similarities with your Soulers! Are you attacking our caravan?]
[Do you get our caravan? I need a clear and direct answer man! Why are you doing this to me, to us!]
"Someone sounds over the edge, hehehe," Hye was very amused and quite pleased by the tons of messages he got from Silverlinning. He knew there must be some sightings that could link him with the attack and snitch of the caravan, yet there was no direct proof.
"Not to mention the last move I pulled before leaving, they’ll have no way to prove it was me who did it!"
Hye went to such extra lengths at the end to make sure he would confuse everything, the Toranks in particular. Even if the Toranks suspected he was there, without concrete proof that he was actually there then he was in the safe zone.
"That’s what you take for being such douchebags with me," Hye went through Silverlinning’s messages once more, kind of feeling more satisfied with how he was feeling, how the Toranks were feeling.
"As for your precious cargo, I’ll take my time checking what was the reason that created all this mess," he opened his inventory, where a shitload of stuff was. Yet one particular item attracted his attention; the caravan he got from the Toranks.
"The least I can say is that this caravan doesn’t have any living creatures," he knew the inventory couldn’t store living races, of course if they weren’t tokenised like how warriors were.
Hye already gave it too much thought during the free time he had before the big stage was prepared for him. One of the options he thought about was for the caravan to carry a person, perhaps an inheritor to the Toranks throne, or perhaps an inheritor to the Selvators throne. He couldn’t tell, and even if he wanted to know the answer right now, he first needed to see how that war would end up.
That was why the first order he gave was for these two to keep their eyes over the news. They got access to the underworld’s network, unlike him. So he kept himself on the seat, waiting for any update.
And he didn’t wait for long.
"I got an update," the pirate king was the first to speak, "as expected, our fleet was crushed by the Hescos once they approached their ships!"
"That’s not surprising," Hye didn’t find any of this surprising, yet he was waiting for something new. And in the next hour, he finally received the news he was waiting for.
"It’s turning into a big mess out there," the lady nymph said after one hour, "everyone is attacking each other!"
"Like whom exactly?" Hye wasn’t satisfied with this kind of report, he sought more details.
"The Toranks attacked the Hescos, and the Selvators got attacked by the Hescos, while the Selvators were attacking the Toranks... It’s a total mess!"
"I don’t get it, why are they targeting just one force? Why aren’t they attacking everyone openly and randomly like it was supposed to?" The pirate king asked the most important question.
"It’s all thanks to him," the lady nymph couldn’t help but turn to look at Hye, "it’s all thanks to his machination and scheming, right?"
