I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse
Chapter 1805: A Mysterious Gem
CHAPTER 1805: A MYSTERIOUS GEM
The rock changed from pitch black to white earlier, and then white into translucent. But it was always looking like glass material, not until it started absorbing Hye’s special bones.
The change this time made it look like a gem, a real gem. It wasn’t just transparent, it was now emitting rays and lights, reflecting and refractioning light, while giving a mysterious feeling to Hye.
Just seeing this change over a small area that didn’t exceed a fist made Hye eager to see the final form of this rock. And so, he started to use a variety of bones with higher grades.
As he expected, it didn’t take three hours before another piece was cleared and cleansed, looking like a gem. Hye didn’t stop and kept pouring lots of dark realm bones, not caring about the degree or amount he used.
"Can’t wait to see your final form, can’t wait to see your powers babe!" Hye even started to sing to the rock, feeling overly excited the more parts got cleansed clean.
He was an expert when it came to finding great stuff, so he could tell this rock wasn’t simple at all! It first started by sucking his U.stat points, turned from black to white, then to transparent. Then it changed methods, started to use his bones, dark realm bones, to end up turning into a gem.
All this told Hye this rock wasn’t going to be just a simple item.
"It didn’t just mix this universe’s U.stats, but it also absorbed the dark realm bones from the outer universe. It’s like a rock belonging to both universes..."
Hye was on the edge to see what powers this rock would show at the end. After two more days, and lots of dark realm bones of different grades, it finally turned wholly into a gem. And it looked like the most beautiful gem Hye’s eyes ever laid onto.
"And I can finally move away from it," Hye’s technique broke free at last. He cancelled the technique and started to move around this gem.
The gem shrunk from the giant size of the rock it was and became now almost half in size. When Hye tried to closely inspect it, he couldn’t, as there were arcs of very bright lights that kept moving inside the gem like serpents.
It felt as if the gem had a star within it. The branches of the bright light kept changing colour, shape, size, until it ended up emitting rays from the gem.
Hye knew this wasn’t to be just a decoration or beautiful ornament. "It’s time to see if binding it with my blood works or not..."
He tried this method twice already and failed. Yet for a reason, it felt like he failed before as the gem wasn’t activated yet. And now he wanted to try it once more.
*Sizzle!*
"It worked!" the moment his blood fell, the gem absorbed it, turned into a red gem that looked quite dangerous. It felt as if the gem turned to be the heart of a volcano, filled with tons of lava and fire, about to explode at any moment.
Hye didn’t move his hand away, instead he let the gem absorb as much as it wanted from his blood. After half an hour, the gem stopped such weird changes and returned to look peaceful like before.
"You know you made me weak many times already," he wasn’t joking, as this gem took away lots of his blood. And no potions worked until it stopped sucking his blood, "now, it’s time for you to pay back what you owe me."
Hye was familiar with items bound by his blood. He would gain control over such items, control them as much as he desired. But this time it felt different.
He tried to control it, tried to call it, tried to absorb it by will, to get into his inventory, yet nothing happened.
"What’s going on now? Why are you having such a hard time?!" Hye couldn’t remember any item that proved this hard to unveil its mysteries and get under his control like this gem. And yet that didn’t frustrate him, instead enticed him to break all these shackles and get it under his control.
"I must be missing something," Hye got used to thinking like this by now when dealing with things related to this gem, "but what am I missing exactly?"
Hye didn’t get what was wrong with the gem, and he started to test and try for many hours. Actually, there was nothing wrong with the gem, the only thing was wrong was the perspective he was checking the gem from.
He kept trying and trying until suddenly he got a weird message, one from Legend.
[Are you at that place by chance?] Legend sent this message, accompanied by a map of his territory with a spot marked by red cross.
[I’m there, how can you pinpoint my place like this? Are you testing a new device from the research department or what?] Hye wasn’t in the mood to chitchat, and yet the weird message forced him to stop for a moment and speak with Legend.
[Ah it’s not a device... I don’t know how to describe it in words, but my cultivation, something is wrong with it, and I started to feel some sort of calling towards that spot...]
Legend’s words didn’t make quite sense for Hye at first. From what Legend said, he was flying close to that planet, when he felt something weird. He couldn’t describe it fully, but per his words it felt like his soul got stirred by something. He also felt an irresistible desire to come to the spot where Hye was at, which was how he pinpointed exactly Hye’s location.
But that wasn’t the thing that attracted Hye’s attention the most; the cultivation part was.
"He said his cultivation got stirred up, as if he was training yet he was just travelling inside a spaceship..." Hye turned his full attention towards the gem, "what exactly are you?!"
