Mu Yang felt that his luck lately had been absolutely rotten. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that the shock value used per draw wasn’t enough—only 100,000 points per draw. That might explain why he ended up with such junk as chewing gum and eye drops.

Thinking it over, a theory formed in his mind—could it be that as his strength increased, the amount of shock value required to get quality items also increased?

Without hesitation, Mu Yang selected the one-time draw that cost ten million shock points. Maybe this time he’d get something worthwhile?

“Ding! Congratulations to the host for obtaining a Support Character Card. Opening Support Character Template Page…”

Mu Yang’s mind was instantly filled with information about the Support Character Card and the newly unlocked Support Character Template Page.

Unlike his current main template—Creator of Light—the Support Character Card could be used independently and simultaneously with the main template.

Moreover, support characters didn’t require a progressive unlock system like the main template. They could be used immediately.

For example, by using the Tony Stark Character Card, Mu Yang would instantly gain access to all

 of Tony Stark’s abilities.

Of course, there were also other support character cards suited for combat. When used, Mu Yang would also inherit all their techniques. However, how much of their power he could unleash still depended on the energy provided by his main template.

It was like transforming into Ultraman—the support card simply switched him into another mode.

That said, each support character card also had its own limits.

Not bad at all!

Tony Stark’s scientific genius was unquestionably top-tier. In a while, Mu Yang planned to visit the Land of Light to study its technology—who knows, maybe he could even become a scientist himself!

Earth had never lacked intelligence; the problem was that its modern civilisation had existed for too short a time—and lacked a proper stage for brilliance to unfold.

Mu Yang’s mouth twitched. What the heck kind of skill was that? Wouldn’t people just think he was an idiot with a dramatic entrance theme?

Still, although the BGM consumed quite a lot of energy, it did temporarily boost strength. Mu Yang, swallowing his pride, accepted the reality: “Fine, it’s actually kind of awesome.”

He immediately levelled the skill up to Level 3!

“Ding! Congratulations to the host for drawing three senzu beans!”

Whew. He’d finally managed to draw something useful. With this, Akiko might still be saved—provided they got there in time.

At the same time, he was fully aware: once he used one of these senzu beans, his identity as Ultraman would inevitably be exposed. Otherwise, such a miraculous medicine—one that could defy death—might lead them to dissect Akiko in a lab out of sheer curiosity.

When Mu Yang arrived at the hospital, Hikari Hideki was already there. He sat quietly by the bedside, tightly holding Akiko’s hand, gazing at her silently, eyes glistening with tears.

Whoever said “real men don’t cry” clearly hadn’t been broken yet.

Hideki had never felt such intense rage and helplessness before. Yes, he was Ultraman, and yes, he possessed great strength—but right now, he could do nothing.

He couldn’t save Akiko.

“Huff… seems we made it just in time!” Mu Yang’s voice suddenly broke the silence. Hideki’s eyes lit up, and he immediately turned to him.

“Mu Yang, you’re here! Please, help me! Is there any way to save Akiko?”

Mu Yang glanced at the brainwave monitor still showing faint signs of life, then took out a senzu bean and tossed it to Hideki.

“This is a senzu bean. As long as she’s not dead, eating it will immediately restore her. Hurry up and make her swallow it—otherwise, it’ll be too late!”

Hideki caught the bean, staring at the tiny thing in his palm. It looked like… just a bean. Could this really work?

But trusting Mu Yang, he decided to give it a shot and fed the bean to Akiko. Nothing happened.

Perplexed, Hideki looked at Mu Yang. “Didn’t you say it would work instantly?”

“She has to swallow it, genius. Force it down her throat if you have to!” Mu Yang snapped impatiently.

He stepped forward, held Akiko’s jaw firmly, and helped her swallow the bean despite her unconscious state.

“You—” Hideki’s eyes widened in panic. “Won’t that choke her to death?!”

The bean wasn’t very big, true—but Akiko was barely clinging to life, and she wasn’t even conscious…

But to his astonishment, Akiko’s condition rapidly improved. Moments later, she woke up.

Seeing Hideki, she immediately threw herself into his arms, sobbing.

“Hideki, I thought I’d never see you again!”

“It’s okay… everything’s okay now,” Hideki whispered, hugging her tightly as he comforted her again and again.

Mu Yang watched the scene, then glanced at Akiko and Kent Sakata. With this, he had managed to fix one of the most heart-wrenching regrets in the Ultraman fandom. If he got the chance in the future, he’d try saving Leo’s girlfriend too—then, perhaps, there would be no regrets left in this era.

“Hideki… I think… our baby is gone.”

Akiko’s next words hit Mu Yang like a truck, and his whole expression changed.
