I Received System to Become Dragonborn
Chapter 1111: Waiting
CHAPTER 1111: WAITING
Adrien and Billy heard what Conrad said, and they both shared the same thought. None of them understood what was happening right now. Why was a Magic anomaly suddenly occurring in their world that should’ve been devoid of Magic energy?
The same uneasy weight pressed on their hearts.
Adrien looked around at the people nearby. Soldiers and staff standing under the gray dark sky, their faces filled with confusion. They didn’t know what to think.
Some of them whispered that the strange clouds and lightning might be connected to the project they were working on, but that was all they could guess. Beyond that, they were lost.
"Should I tell them something? Or let them think whatever they need to stay calm?" Adrien’s thoughts ran in circles, but no answer came.
A moment later, the first drops of rain began to fall. Within seconds, it turned into a downpour.
The group hurried back into the building for cover as the sound of rain hammered against the metal structures.
"Everyone, return to your stations," Adrien ordered in a firm voice that echoed through the hall. "Don’t overthink this for now. Stay focused on your work."
The staff exchanged uneasy glances but obeyed, while still muttering quietly among themselves as they dispersed.
Even if they didn’t show it, the tension lingered. It was an unspoken fear that something else might happen soon.
Outside, the rain intensified and the wind began to howl louder with every passing moment.
"This is turning into a real storm, Captain," Billy said beside him, his tone low. "I have a bad feeling about this."
Adrien clenched his jaw. "I want you to stay here and keep monitoring everything. If anything changes, report immediately."
Billy nodded. "Yes, sir."
He understood why Adrien wanted him to stay. As someone who had awakened and attuned to Magic far earlier than most like Adrien himself, Billy could sense fluctuations in energy faster than anyone else. If something truly abnormal was happening, he would be the first to feel it.
Adrien turned toward Conrad, Thomas, and Jessica. "Let’s head back to the lower levels. Billy will handle the surface."
They nodded, understanding the order.
As they began walking toward the elevator, Jessica hesitated and stopped. She turned to Billy, her eyes uncertain.
Billy met her gaze, waiting for her to speak, but she stayed silent for a few seconds.
"You want to say something?" he asked quietly.
"I just..." Jessica looked back toward the storm outside. Rain poured harder now, blurring the view. She swallowed and whispered, "I don’t know what’s happening."
"Don’t worry," Billy said, managing a calm smile. "I’ll keep watch. The moment something happens, I’ll let you know."
Jessica didn’t look convinced, but as a soldier, she needed to force herself to nod and straighten her posture. "Then I’ll go back down now."
She turned and followed Adrien and the others to the elevator.
Billy remained close by the entrance, watching as the wind grew stronger, whistling through the facility’s barriers.
His calm smile faded, replaced by a grim expression. The storm outside had turned violent in mere minutes. What was once a warm and bright day had become a raging tempest.
He could feel it clearly now. The air itself pulsed with Magical energy. This was no ordinary storm.

Adrien and Jessica returned to the operations office, the air inside heavy with tension. Moments later, Thomas and Conrad stepped in as well because Adrien had asked them to come in as well earlier.
No one spoke at first. The distant rumble of the storm above seemed to fill the silence between them even though they were faint.
Adrien finally straightened in his seat and said, "This situation is unprecedented. We’ve never faced anything like this before. We need to contact another world again and ask for advice."
Conrad frowned, his brow furrowing. "Who are you planning to contact?"
"Adrius, of course," Adrien replied without hesitation. "He gave me a way to reach him before he and Erend returned to their world. I’ll use telepathic contact to inform him about the storm and the anomaly here."
Conrad’s expression grew doubtful. "But aren’t they busy with their own preparations right now? They will also face the same problem in their world because of the entity."
Adrien sighed then rubbing the bridge of his nose.
"I know. But this isn’t something we can afford to ignore or take care of our own. The air is saturated with Magical energy. That should be impossible here. Something is terribly wrong with the air. We need someone of Adrius’s level to help us understand what we’re dealing with before it’s too late."
Conrad paused, considering the weight of Adrien’s words. But afterwards he couldn’t think of anything else to say, Finally, he gave a slow nod. "Then we don’t have a choice."
The room fell silent again. The faint hum of the underground generators was the only sound. Down here, they couldn’t hear the chaos outside.
But on the surface, the storm was growing violent. The lightning that before was silent now roared with thunder and flashing in quick succession.
The wind screamed as it tore through the compound, bending metal and ripping at loose panels.
Trees surrounding the remote facility swayed dangerously, their branches snapping and scattering debris across the ground.
Billy stood near the reinforced entrance. His eyes locked on the storm. He felt the Magical pressure in the air had grown sharper, more aggressive. It felt like the atmosphere itself was trembling with energy.
A guard hurried up beside him, raising his voice over the howling wind. "Sir! Do you have any idea what’s happening?"
Billy turned his head slightly and forced a calm smile.
"It’s just rain," he said softly. "Don’t panic. Keep everyone steady."
The guard hesitated but nodded, trusting his words even though his instincts told him otherwise.
When the soldier left, Billy’s expression darkened.
He looked up again, feeling another pulse of energy ripple through the sky. The storm wasn’t just weather.
He felt that something from Magic realm will be descending in this facility
