CHAPTER 38: CHAPTER 38: ANANYA’S THOUGHTS

As Ananya had given him her live location, Alex first opened her live location on his phone and then locating her he started the electric bike allotted to him by the Tech park.

————-

After some 3-4 minutes later....

When Alex finally reached there and found Ananya she was was leaning against a flower bed by the time he spotted her, she is looking completely helpless and hopeless.

Her petite frame seemed even more fragile against the sprawl of the Tech Park, and her sweet loli like face etched with concern, her eyes were brimming with unshed tears as she looked around like a lost kitten.

That look....seriously, it was too adorable for someone to ignore.

Alex just shook his head. My poor sister, I just clearly showed you the way, but the more you walked, the more you strayed away from the company! You’re simply hopeless.

He actually didn’t know whether to cry or to laugh. How bad can a person be with directions?

Finally making his way to her he parked his electric bike in front of her.

"Come on, get in." Alex rapped the back seat of his Tech park electric bike.

"Good thing I’ve got this, or it would take you forever to get back."

"Unknowingly, you’ve come very far away from your company."

Ananya’s office was at the extreme east part of the park, and she had in some way found herself walking all the way to the west.

On foot, it would take her a minimum of fifteen minutes just to reach there of course if she did not get lost along the way again.

"Wow, thank you so much!" Ananya’s eyes sparkled as she got into the back seat. Her voice was full of relief. "If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have even made it to work this morning. If I had been late on my first day, they might have even fired me."

Her tear-prickled eyes sparkled when she talked, her thanks almost seeming overwhelming him.

Alex was left speechless.

"Showing up late on your first day, and you’re already concerned about getting fired? Is this how the new generation is going to bring prosperity to our country?"

Ananya pouted but said nothing.

Alex make sure she has sat safely and sang a soft humming tune as he adjusted the the gears of the electric bike.

The morning wind swept across her cheeks as the bike accelerated.

Seated behind Alex, she felt heat flush through her chest. For the first time in a long time, a sparsely felt sense of tranquility enveloped her.

His back seemed rock steady, broad, and solid, the sort of presence that made her heart jump in a manner she had not experienced in many years.

The wind was cool, the security guard was handsome, and for some reason, just standing near him caused her heart to race. If only he were my boyfriend... she wished silently, biting her lower lip.

It had struck her suddenly, a pang of wistfulness.

She glanced at him sidelong, catching the comfortable assurance.

"Honestly, how did you end up on the west side?", Alex asked her teasingly.

"Your company must have sent you a welcome packet, right? Didn’t it come with a map?

Ananya blushed . "I... I did take a look at it! But all the buildings are the same and somehow I got lost on the away...", trying hard to hide her illnes about her poor sense of direction.

Alex smiled and did not expose her.

Ananya sitting on the backseat of the bike felt his strong muscles beneath his clothes blushing hard she thought May this trip never finish ... Ananya wished silently, her gentle eyes sparkling with yearning for it.

But barely two minutes might have been passed after the wish went out of her heart, Alex effortlessly braked the bike, put out the stand and turned around to her smiling.

"We are here. Just go into the building in front of you and than go up to the sixteenth floor of the building through the elevator. That’s where you work."

"Eh?!"

She finally came back to her reality from her fantasies.

Her small loli face was stunned in shock.

(*゚ロ゚)!!

It had taken Alex only less than two minutes to locate the company that she had wasted more than an hour on trying to find.

Really it’s not fair! Crying~

Wuwu...I suddenly do not feel like going to work... I just want to keep sitting on this bike with this good-looking man... Her heart silently protested as she held on tightly to her bag, not wanting to budge.

But after wrestling with herself for a while, she could no longer help it after all today is her first day of job.

After all bunking the job on your first day might leave a very bad impression on his colleagues.

With much reluctance, she got down from the electric bike, whispered a soft goodbye, and walked towards the company building.

But every step Ananya took seemed more burdensome than the previous one.

But still she could not help herself from glancing back at Alex repeatedly. Her eyes trailed Alex’s receding figure as he drove the bike smoothly along the avenue, his back shrinking and finally fading into the distance.

"That’s right!"

Suddenly, she seemed to remembered something and her lips curled into a sly smile as her mood suddenly lightened up.

"I seemed to saved the security guy’s phone number, hehe..."

Her eyes glimmered with light, as if hope had only recently returned to her heart.

Perhaps.... perhaps she would not be riding on that bike for the very last time.

Just thinking like this she at last pushed open the glass door of the building to her new job, but inside she could not help but speculate would she ever see Alex again?

Shaking her head clearing her indecent thoughts she pushed the incident aside and entered the finally entered the building to begin his first day of work....
