CHAPTER 87: CHAPTER 87: ALEX’S LUCY!

"Lucy, you do not have to apologize to me. I was in the wrong just now, I should not have lost my control and done whatever I have done to you like that," Alex admitted his mistake with an awkward tone, his voice carrying both guilt and sincerity.

Inwardly he was already cursing himself for being a beast to force himself on such a sweet girl like her.

He knew how much it meant for girls in Ancient Times to be touched by a man, if this incident by intentionally or unintentionally got leaked to outsiders her reputation will be tarnished and no one will marry her after that.

"Lucy, Listen I’ll take full responsibility for my actions today and if you want I can..." he continued, but before he could finish speaking, a slender hand suddenly rose up and gently covered his lips.

Lucy’s gaze was still filled with tears and her delicate expression carried a vulnerability that was enough to make anyone’s heart ache for bullying such a sweet girl.

"Brother Alex, you do not need to say anything, and you don’t have to take responsibility for me. " she whispered, her voice trembling slightly.

"You’re like the bright star in the sky that is so far, that it can be only seen but never touched by hand, and I’m just an insignificant girl in the city.

I do not deserve you to take responsibility for me... Also I just didn’t want you to have regrets in future."

Her voice grew softer and softer, until the final words seemed to vanish into the air.

"Whatever you want to do today, I’m okay with it... even it is for one time." she added at last, her face flushing as the blush spread slowly from her neck to all the way up to her ears.

Lucy’s tear-filled eyes lingered on him for a long moment, before she suddenly leaned forward and wrapped her arms tightly around him, stopping him from saying anything further with a soft kiss on his lips.

"Brother Alex, do you like me?" she asked after breaking the kiss, lifting her face to meet his gaze, her misty eyes fixed on him without wavering and with a determined expression on her face.

"Of course I like you, Lucy," Alex replied without hesitation at the question, a smile tugging at his lips. "You’re so beautiful, you’re so smart, and you’re thoughtful of the situations. Which man wouldn’t like a girl such as you as his wife, and if someone doesn’t like you he must be blind, understand?"

He said it with a tone that carried no falsehood, because he genuinely did like her nature.

She was not only attractive in appearance but also kind and clever, she is always thinking of others before herself, always considerate of everyone, and that made his feelings even more sincere towards her.

At his sweet words of praise, the sadness that had clouded Lucy’s eyes seemed to melt away instantly, and her entire face lit up in bright glow.

A smile broke through the tears still clinging to her lashes, and in that moment her expression was so bright and pure that it made her look like a breathtaking beauty straight from heavens.

"Today, I’ve got something important to do, Lucy."

Alex suddenly said his tone light but firm, as if he had already decided on a decision that is of great importance of his life.

Lucy blinked in confusion at him, her curiosity immediately aroused.

"What’s that?" she asked, unable to guess what he meant by something Important.

He leaned slightly closer to her and grinned with a sly smile tugging at his lips.

"The important thing I have to do is to make you permanently mine today here and now."

"What!" Lucy exclaimed at the confession, her heart suddenly started beating faster as countless thoughts rushed through her mind at once and made her momentarily speechless not knowing what to say and what to think.

She hadn’t expected him to be so direct with her, and for a moment she didn’t even know if she had heard him correctly or not.

Her face turned red as tomato as she quickly stammered, but still her insecurities seem to surface and asked him what she wanted to ask him the most.

"Brother Alex, you’ll meet plenty of great girls of prominent family backgrounds, who will be more beautiful than me in the future. Don’t let me hold you back from other... opportunities, I can’t marry ..."

But before she could finish speaking, Alex cut her off with a fingers on his lips and a playful expression on his face, his smile teasing her.

"Missing out on other opportunities? I don’t remember that there is any law in your world that stipulates that a man can marry only on woman?

"Or Is there any?"

"You—" Lucy’s eyes widened at his bold words, and she was left speechless with his words.

She did not know whether to cry for him being a shameless scoundrel or laugh at his boldness.

Her emotions were caught in between.

On the one hand she felt annoyed because Alex was clearly teasing her, but on the other hand she could not help but feel a flicker of happiness in her heart, because his words meant that she would not hold him back and that he truly wanted her.

"Haha," Alex laughed obviously amused with her ever changing expression.

He had not expected Lucy to reveal even a trace of jealousy and such a cute expression on her face, and seeing it sparked an unexpected warmth and joy within him.

Without giving herself time to think any further on the topic, he leaned in closer slowly closing the distance between them, and kissed her soft on her cherry like lips that wanted nothing but want to be kissed.

He slowly led her towards the bed and laid her on the bed with outmost care as if she will break on a slightest touch.
