Chapter 89: Syndicate Expansion Strategy!
CHAPTER 89: CHAPTER 89: SYNDICATE EXPANSION STRATEGY!
"Nathan, You should know that blindly expanding our power is not necessarily a good thing for us."
Alex said worriedly, "Expanding power has its both advantages and disadvantages, you should know about it properly before taking any major decisions such as this in future.
The advantage in this is that our syndicate influence will grow in short time greatly.
But have you thought about the variety of risks that will come with it?"
Nathan frowned worry appeared in his eyes. "Risks? Are there any type of Risks in it?"
"Yes," Alex explained, "you took down the Axe Gang and gained so many followers from them.
But how do you know they will not turn against you? How will they stay loyal, have you thought about it?
Will they follow you wholeheartedly?
Our Viper Syndicate is just starting out currently, but what if there are some undercover agents among the new recruits that may be sent by rivals to test our strengths and weaknesses?"
Alex’s words cut deeply on Nathan.
He was still young and inexperienced in the worldly affairs, how he would have thought of betrayal so early on? His eyes widened at the revelation, cold sweat forming on his head.
Yes! If enemies planted a spy in my ranks, one strike at the wrong moment could end him.
Alex continued explaining the disadvantages, "To manage your men properly, you can’t use a flat style of control over them. You need to make a hierarchy like structure in the syndicate."
"Hierarchy?"
Nathan was confused by the strange term, not understanding the context of it.
"You don’t need to know the meaning behind the word," Alex waved it off. "Just remember this: the Viper Syndicate is growing rapidly, and we need a structure to make it work properly in long run."
"As for how to manage and what?
First, you need a backbone Committee of members of the syndicate it will form the core of the Syndicate.
Take those ones who fought with us against the Axe Gang, like the Tommy and Rory.
They have already proven themselves enough for our trust already.
In addition to them pick out those who have made real contributions and earned respect of other members in the syndicate.
Each of them could lead their own crew of men under the Syndicate banner, while their subordinates could expand their own members beneath them."
He leaned forward, his tone firm. "But remember this, Nathan.
Don’t just expand blindly in the heat of the moment.
Cultivate leaders who are truly loyal to the syndicate and us. Only with a strong backbone can the Viper Syndicate remain stable for a long time.
Only then will we grow without fearing betrayal from within our own side between the fights with others in the future."
In one breath, Alex laid out everything on his mind for the syndicate to run according to his needs.
After speaking, he did not pressure Nathan for an immediate response from him. Instead, he gave him space to process the knowledge.
After a moment of silence, Nathan’s eyes brightened with the idea. He now knew fully how much it will benefit the syndicate and nodded firmly.
"Brother Alex, I understand what you mean. The leaders I appoint do not have to be the most skilled among us, but they must be loyal to the syndicate.
I know that I have to fully insure that true power of the syndicate must remain in our trusted hands."
"Good."
Alex nodded in approval his gaze carrying admiration.
Nathan was learning how to think like a leader soon it will not be his turn to teach him anymore.
With that settled, Alex led him back out into the courtyard.
When they stepped outside, hundreds of men turned their eyes toward them at once.
Alex gave a faint smile and raised his voice to speak.
"Do you know why I have formed the Viper Syndicate?"
The crowd looked uncertain.
"Maybe some of you may have grew up poor in the slums. Many of you might have no place to call home. Maybe some of you have got no family. Maybe many of you might have been cast aside by the cruel society.
None of that matters to me! From now on, as long as you fight for the Syndicate and stay loyal to it, the Syndicate will fight for you in your place. We’ll be your strongest shield against your enemies!"
Murmurs rippled through the crowd. Alex’s tone grew sharper with each passing second.
"The Syndicate means unity in us! I help you, and you will help me in fighting my enemies.
Together, no one will dare push us around again. And if anyone tries—then we’ll push back harder.
If they do not submit to us, we will make them submit.
We’ll bring this whole city slowly under our control. And when people hear the name of Viper Syndicate, they’ll tremble with fear."
His words lit a fire in their blood.
Hundreds of men laughed and shouted, their eyes burning with excitement at the vision of future.
"Of course," Alex added, lowering his voice just enough to draw them closer. "We’re not out here to bully the innocent. But if someone provokes us—"
He smirked. "Then we’ll cut him down. Take everything he has. Make sure no one forgets the price of crossing us."
The men roared back with chants, echoing his words:
"Cut him down!"
"Take everything!"
"Make them regret ever crossing the Syndicate!"
The energy was boiling over, the men swept up by his speech.
"Mr. Alex?"
"What are you doing?"
A soft, melodic voice cut through the chaos at that moment .
The door opened from behind, and a graceful figure appeared in front of them, Alex recognized her immediately, none other than the Miss Evelyn from the one of the three most influential families in the Ironhold city.
"Ahem..." Alex coughed, suddenly looking a little awkward at moment. "We were just... having a meeting.... yes a normal meeting nothing more."
