I, Viretta, Am Going to Hunt a Dragon
PAID Chapter 83
“We are currently facing a major obstacle. This is a huge challenge that we cannot overcome unless we all work together.”
With Dillon Medlit’s strong words, the memorial service began.
Today’s memorial service wasn’t just for Viretta and Iola.
In fact, this truth only became clear once they had arrived. Originally, the service was meant to honor those who had been sacrificed to the dragon, in an attempt to calm the locals.
The village near the Root Mountain mine was in a state of stagnation. Dillon, as the representative of Medlit, came to organize the event, thinking it might help ease the situation.@@novelbin@@
Initially, the plan had been for Viretta to handle the ceremony.
After the engagement ceremony, Viretta and Iola were supposed to lead the Dusk Mercenaries to the mining area, hold the memorial, restore order in the region, and then return.
For someone like Medlit, becoming a great merchant meant that even marriage would become a business and a show.
Viretta was capable enough to handle the event preparations and conduct the service, so Dillon had intended to leave it to her.
But when Viretta and her fiancé ran off, Dillon had to take over the memorial service.
Fortunately, there was still some time left. The service had originally been planned around Iola’s schedule, and since the math academy’s vacation was still ongoing, it was fortunate that Dillon could step in.
“We honor the noble knight Erector, who sacrificed his life while hunting the dragon, and his three companions. Max, the head of the mining association, who threw himself into danger to save the villagers. And Alex, who tragically passed away while trying to warn the people to evacuate.”
Dillon conducted the memorial service fluently.
