I will be a demon in this life!
Chapter 109
CHAPTER 109: CHAPTER 109
"Should we leave this city quickly? Even though they already have me in their sights, I can’t allow them to make me their primary target when I know so little about them. Besides, I don’t yet have the power necessary to crush them," Mart thought with a determined look, and shortly after, the system notified him:
[Demon God Energy: (47)]
"It has increased too much. System, are there any demons in the seventh rank among those with Demon God Energy? "
[No]
"Then Balac Sevec can probably handle it if the conspirators act. He just needs to wait for his reinforcements. I don’t know what decision he’ll make, but that’s up to him."
Mart went to the bathroom.
After showering, Mart put on a black shirt, pants, and shoes.
Then he sat on the edge of the bed and closed his eyes to practice in his mind each of the five demonic diagrams he had created and perfected. He didn’t want to be defenseless, much less give up without a fight. He preferred there to be no conflicts, but he was clearly willing to resolve any conflicts that might affect him or the demon women he cared about.
••••
There was only one day left until the big auction. Mart had finished practicing the creation of demonic diagrams, as he wanted to increase the speed with which he activated his demonic spells.
Knock! Knock! Knock!
Mart heard a knock on the door of the room, and outside was the warrior Sitan.
-Young master. We are waiting for you at the reception to accompany you to the demonic vehicle. -Sitan said in his usual firm tone.
When Sitan walked away, Deniris remained at the door, wearing a casual green outfit that one of the maids had given her. She looked cautiously at Mart.
"You have to decide. Either you go back to your people or you go with the three maids to the Sevec marquisate," Mart explained as he cut the surface of his thumb and then placed his thumb on the tattoo on Deniris’ neck.
The blood mixed with Mart’s demonic energy did its job, and the tattoo on Deniris’ neck disappeared.
Deniris’ rabbit ears tilted; she seemed scared.
-You’re free again. You should be a little happy. -Mart said.
-I... I have nowhere to go back to, since the people in my city were killed or captured. -Deniris said tearfully, her voice breaking.
-Who killed them? -Mart asked, even though he already had an idea.
-The demons and some humans. -she replied.
-And what do you want? -Mart asked, staring at her intently.
-Can I follow you? -she asked timidly.
-I’m a demon. Don’t you hate me? -Mart asked in a deep voice.
Deniris thought about Mart’s words for a few seconds and then said:
-You... you saved me from a horrible fate. I want to go with you. Please.
Mart put his hand to his head, combed his hair, and then said:
-All right...
Mart reached out and touched Deniris’ hair, then took a dagger from his bag and cut off a lock.
-But if you try to betray me, I’ll know. And I will give you a horrible death for endangering the women around me. -Mart concluded as he placed Deniris’s cut hair on a piece of paper, folded it into an envelope, and then stored it in his demonic ring.
After hearing Mart’s warning, Deniris simply nodded.
••••
When Mart, Iristel, and Deniris arrived at the hotel reception, they saw several demons trying to book rooms.
[Demon God Energy: (02)]
Mart was not surprised by the notification. On the contrary, he ignored the conspirators, knowing that if they realized he had detected them, it would make them more interested in him.
Upon reaching the hotel exit, Mart saw Sitan and a female demon wearing a long black dress that hugged her sensual body. The female demon had black hair, red skin, and a black horn in the middle of her forehead.
"She must be the sorceress Deria," Mart thought when he saw her.
Deria looked at Mart with displeasure but quickly tried to hide it. Mart wasn’t bothered, because he knew that in the not-so-distant past, just over a year ago, the real Mart had touched Deria’s buttocks several times while she accompanied him back to the marquisate.
"Damn you, real Mart," he thought as they walked along the sidewalks toward the parking lot where Mart’s demonic vehicle was parked.
[Demon God Energy: (06)]
"So there are more demons monitoring my movements," Mart thought as he took Iristel’s hand and in his other hand took one of the level 5 wands he had bought some time ago in the city of Damtes.
"I must create a spontaneous barrier to protect us both," Mart thought as he silently formulated an invisible demonic barrier.
They walked among demons who crowded the streets with their servants, buying whatever items they desired.
When they reached the demonic vehicle, Mart, Iristel, Deniris, and Deria climbed in. Sitan and the driver entered the cab of the demonic vehicle shortly after. The vehicle began to leave the luxury vehicle parking area.
••••
Inside the vehicle, Mart sat down in the armchair near one of the windows, and shortly afterwards, Iristel sat down in another armchair next to Mart.
Deria, meanwhile, sat down in an elegant, padded chair that was some distance away from where Mart had sat down.
Just as before arriving in the city, Mart placed five level five demonic wands on a round table with long legs, then placed 10 spiral-tipped blades on the table.
-Mart? Will you teach me that spell? -Iristel asked curiously as she picked up one of the spiral-tipped blades.
-Yes, when we return to the Academy. I’ll teach you step by step. -Mart replied.
Deniris had sat down in an armchair near the kitchen area of the demonic vehicle and remained silent as she watched Mart. She felt strangely calm seeing the handsome demon who had saved her, a feeling brought on by gratitude, beauty, and the charm Mart possessed.
