I will be a demon in this life!
Chapter 111
CHAPTER 111: CHAPTER 111
-It’s a shame, we already killed the young master they were protecting. -said the Herald with feigned sadness.
Sitan, who was protecting someone for the first time, hesitated for just a moment.
The Herald’s wand struck Sitan hard on the temple and sent him bouncing to the ground.
-It’s so sad. The Sevec marquisate has so much money and such pathetic warriors, even though their lords are Demons of Force.
Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! ...
The Herald was surprised to hear the powerful booms that echoed throughout the surroundings.
••••
A short time ago.
Mart was sitting in the armchair drinking a cup of Tarioc nectar that Iristel had prepared for him. He had used his demonic perception and energy sensitivity to stay alert to what was happening outside.
The 15 wands were still floating above Mart. Deniris was also nearby, her ears tilted, which told Mart that she was scared.
A little over a minute later, he realized that the strongest enemy had practically defeated his two bodyguards, and on top of that, four conspiring demons were approaching.
Mart finished drinking the nectar.
-Iristel, don’t stray from me.
She nodded. Deniris’s gaze was pitiful.
-You follow me too. You are my responsibility now.
Deniris’ ears perked up, and Mart smiled subtly.
When the three of them got out of the demonic vehicle at the same time, Mart didn’t wait a second and reached out his hand toward the four demons approaching him and cast four spells in quick succession for each blade of concentrated demonic energy to almost instantly fire 10 blades of concentrated energy.
[Demon God Energy Acquired: +2.4 in all attributes]
"It’s a shame, I only managed to seriously injure the other three," thought Mart, who already had another five blades of concentrated demonic energy around Iristel, Deniris, and himself.
Mart waved his left hand, creating a spell that dispersed the cloud of dust, and saw the three remaining demons, who were wounded. The six-armed demon’s intestines, covered in fecal matter, were spilling out of his abdomen as he lost blood.
One of the gray-skinned demons had lost a leg, the other had lost his head.
The green-skinned, thin demon had lost his right arm and had a bleeding wound on one side of his abdomen.
"It was worth it to increase my stats and perfect my spells," Mart thought as he watched the three demons with a blue potion in his hands similar to the potion he had obtained from the other conspirators.
"Let’s see what that blue potion is for," thought Mart, who felt the Herald’s thirst for blood.
Mart and the Herald looked at each other.
-Are you one of these conspiring demons? -Mart asked in a fairly calm tone.
"So this is the demon they want me to capture or kill?" wondered the Herald as he looked at the charming young demon who had appeared.
-If you’re not one of them, I recommend you leave. Or I will show no mercy. -said Mart calmly.
"System, if the masked man attacks, Activate the chosen active trait," Mart said to the system in his mind.
[Choose the capital trait you want to activate]
[(Pride) (Lust) (Greed) (Sloth) (Gluttony) (Anger) (Envy)...]
"Pride," Mart replied without hesitation.
••••
-It’s sad, it’s sad that young demons don’t know their limits. -said the Herald with regret.
Mart looked at the demonic energy sword above Deria, then looked at Sitan, who was standing up with his face covered in blood.
"They really beat them up. Either that masked guy is strong, or they don’t care about Mart Sevec’s safety," thought Mart, then explained as he watched the three demons begin to undergo a metamorphosis:
-I am a believer of Alvat. Do you think I have no way to defeat you?
[Passive skill activated: Unmatched Speaker (low level)]
The Herald was confused when he heard the words, "Believer of Alvat."
"Let’s see how persuasive that title is, with which I earned the respect of Director Persec and Archduke Arcariz. Hmm, so the goat-horned demon wanted me to transform into a horrible pseudo-chimera. Someday I will have my revenge," thought Mart as he watched the three deformed demons stand up.
One of the demons transformed into a creature with eight long legs and a bulging abdomen, whose intestines had turned into scale-less snake-like beings. The demon’s head now had hundreds of eyes, making it repulsive, and the demon’s size had doubled.
The grayish demon became a huge head with a row of sharp teeth. The head moved by crawling on its two arms, and its single leg had turned into a bleeding tail that left a trail of corrosive blood as the head crawled along.
The green-skinned demon was not so lucky. It turned into a greenish ball of mass from which a brown liquid emerged, vaporizing shortly thereafter and melting the surface mass of the green-skinned demon’s body. The demon had retained its consciousness and begged in a tone that revealed its pain:
-Kill me, please, it hurts, it’s painful.
••••
Mart grabbed Iristel and Deniris by the waist and backed away a good distance using a wind spell, then he looked at the Herald and said:
-Leave those monsters on the brink of death and go. Or I’ll finish off all four of you together.
The Herald hesitated, but Mart added:
-I’ll count to 10, and then there will be no turning back.
"If I let myself be fooled by a child, I’ll be ashamed, but he managed to wound those four without even breaking a sweat," thought the Herald.
"6..." Mart was counting down.
The Herald looked at Deniris and then at Iristel.
[Anger trait activated]
[The host’s strength temporarily increases by +40]
-You dare to look at my partner with hostility? -Mart asked with anger in his tone and gaze.
At that moment, the Herald felt a fluctuation in Mart’s power.
The Herald did not hesitate any longer. He waved his demonic wand in the direction of the three abominable beings, and the sword that was in the air above Deria moved toward them, splitting into three and piercing their bodies.
