Chapter 1427: Chapter 511: The Six Saints Summon
The Six Saints sat within the Zixiao Palace, their venerable appearances solemn and dignified. Each lotus dais and meditation mat exuded a special aura, with heavenly jade seemingly within arm’s reach.
The Six Saints were already aware of the recent events, knowing that both Hongjun and the Transcenders had departed. Only when the Six Saints returned to the Earth would the Heavenly Dao have its six main pillars, leading to a flourishing era for the creatures and the Heavenly Dao in the Vast Wilderness Heaven and Earth.
However, the manner in which the Six Saints would return carried its own significance and intricacy.
Taiqing Laozi gathered the other five fellow Taoists here, temporarily standing in for their teacher Hongjun’s position.
Yuqing Yuanshi Tianzun sat beside Taiqing Laozi, presiding over the matters at hand.
Yuanshi Tianzun, who transformed from Pangu’s Primordial Spirit into a Primordial Being, wielding the Pangu Banner and the Jade Ruyi, was adept in the One Qi Great Dao. Among the Six Saints, he was outstanding, being Tongtian’s elder brother, Laozi’s younger brother, and respected by both Nüwa and Jie Yin.
It was only fitting for him to preside over such matters.
Yuanshi Tianzun spoke a few words, expounding on the importance of the Six Saints to the heavens and earth, and how they should conduct themselves in the future to serve as models for all creatures, emphasizing that the Saints must care about their own reputation, and so forth.
Several months passed as Yuanshi Tianzun completed the opening remarks.
The ever-silent Taiqing raised his hand, causing the Tai Chi Diagram to slowly unfold, revealing the location of Li Ping’an.
At this moment, Li Ping’an was beginning to process the Xuanwu World’s blood case.
The facial expressions of the Six Saints began to change in various ways.
Nüwa’s lips curled into a slight smile, satisfaction shining in her eyes, as much of her grief over Xuanyuan Huangdi’s death dissipated.
Yuanshi Tianzun seemed to maintain a stern face, but the subtle narrowing of his eyes betrayed the joy hidden in his heart.
After all, this was his legitimate grand-disciple, bringing honor to his name.
Jie Yin remained expressionless, while Tongtian Sect Leader showed much curiosity in his eyes, and Zhunti, with a long face, looked displeased.
Tongtian Sect Leader surveyed for a long time and remarked with a smile, “The deep connection between Ping’an and the Heavenly Dao truly draws our attention. Though we achieved the status of Saints of the Heavenly Dao through the Hongmeng Purple Qi, it was merely to strengthen the Heavenly Dao with our beings. Yet this Heavenly Emperor, Ping’an, actually guides the Heavenly Dao forward, quite unlike us, greatly different.”
Zhunti, with a face of mourning, said, “When the Heavenly Emperor commits evil, how will he be supervised?”
Nüwa retorted, “The Heavenly Emperor has not committed any evil, why do you want to supervise?”
Zhunti said, “Without supervision, wouldn’t it lead to the Heavenly Emperor committing evil one day, and we just stand idly by? Just like Emperor Jun once persecuted the Hundred Clans’ creatures, how do you explain that?”
Yuanshi Tianzun softly said, “Supervision of the Vast Wilderness Heaven and Earth is the responsibility of the Six Saints.”
“This Li Ping’an,” Zhunti couldn’t hold back and challenged, “has repeatedly killed my disciples, ruining my Lingshan’s reputation and disregarding the dignity of this Saint. The Heavenly Emperor has already lost his qualifications.”
Tongtian Sect Leader sneered, “Friend, weren’t you the last of us six to become a Saint? If not for waiting for you, we would have returned a hundred years ago, wouldn’t we? You have just become a Saint; how could Ping’an have killed a Saint’s disciple? Earlier, you indulged your disciples in harming creatures, acting recklessly; it was a blind fate of the Hongjun Teacher and the Heavenly Dao that allowed you to become a Saint. Yet, you bark madly here!”
“Friend from Tongtian’s craft of words has indeed improved greatly.”
Zhunti said:
“My deliberations with my senior brother aim for the lasting peace of heaven and earth and the ultimate fate of all beings.
“Friend, do you wish to have a duel with this poor Daoist?”
“If there must be one, so be it, at worst, we refine wind, fire, water, and earth again!”
“Enough!”
Yuanshi Tianzun gave a light reprimand, scolding:
“Junior brother, you are already a Saint, and should display the demeanor becoming of one; how can you act so recklessly like this!”
“Zhunti, do not make such unreasonable accusations, or get entangled in past matters; it is the end of the Desolate Era that we should concern ourselves with.”
“If the Six Saints were to oppose each other, it would only benefit the Transcenders!”
Daoist Jieying gently said, “Junior brother, this matter has passed.”
Zhunti revealed a warm smile, “Since Yuqing Saint has spoken, we shall abide by Yuqing Saint’s words.”
Nüwa said indifferently, “The two friends’ coordination is indeed a clever act of sowing discord.”
Tongtian Sect Leader snorted coldly, saying no more.
Yuanshi Tianzun looked to the side at Laozi and asked warmly, “Senior brother, shall we summon Ping’an now?”
“No…hurry…”
Taiqing struggled to say, “Watch.”
Yuqing slowly nodded, and the Six Saints together gazed at the scene within the Tai Chi Diagram, rendering the Zixiao Palace extraordinarily quiet for a moment.
On Li Ping’an’s side, the preliminary trial had been completed, and the third elder of the Ye family had been captured.
This blood case was nearly concluded.
Through certain channels, the third elder of the Ye family had learned of the spiritual mine here, and in disguise, personally led people to seize it by force, planting his confidants to guard the area.
They originally had some conscience, intending to quickly mine the spiritual minerals and then fill it up with some Spirit Stones to let the small sect suffer a dumb loss.
When Wei Yuxue tried to report to the authorities and was captured by them, they made a ruthless decision, choosing to annihilate the entire sect.
According to the confessions of those executioners, they wanted it to seem like a Demon Cultivators’ treasure hunt slaying, so the arrangements were deliberately rough, planning to finally set a big fire to burn the place, but unexpectedly, Yun Bing Xianzi suddenly appeared.
Qing Su, being skilled in Divine Skills, followed the clues with her own means, finding several individuals involved in the attack, and inquired about the details of the Ye family.
But the trail was cut off here.
Those assassins who confessed to Qing Su were secretly disposed of, and Qing Su encountered successive obstacles while investigating further.
Li Ping’an was not in a hurry to execute anyone, first gathering everyone together.
Taking advantage of some spare time, Li Ping’an turned to trial matters related to the Ye family and the blood debts of the families represented by these dozen or so elders who came to plead for the Ye family.
